There’s so many of these it’s hard to keep up with them all. Here we have Lowe’s weighing in with a good, old fashioned…make that new fashioned….politically correct “Dad is an idiot” commercial! I’m not sure who writes commercials but they must hate their fathers. In this commercial, the cliche overweight dad is telling the smart-ass son how he bargained to have Lowe’s provide free delivery and remove the old refrigerator (that he could have sold on Craigslist for $50 AND had someone else haul it off) while the kid smirks. At the end of the commercial, you see the Lowe’s truck that tells you they offer free delivery and will haul off your old refrigerator. OK, so the dad was blowing a little smoke. Maybe he wouldn’t need to if he was appreciated and honored for providing a good life for his spoiled family! Maybe the kid wouldn’t smirk and treat the old man like an idiot if he was put in a flying headlock! That’s a commercial I’d love to see!
Let AWD tell you about Lowe’s. AWD is from Charlotte originally and Lowe’s, headquartered in NC, was once one of my clients. I have never seen a company treat employees worse. Negative reinforcement and jerk bosses ruled the Lowe’s roost. They were a very difficult client and always wanted something for nothing. I always felt sorry for the line employees who were treated like animals. I don’t know if anything has changed but I doubt it. So Lowe’s can kiss this white dad’s ass! They could make a commercial tossing pies at Al Sharpton and I wouldn’t shop there!
Here’s the stupid, PC commercial:

Heehee, my son and I have a joke about which store we’re “pissed off” at the most, from week to week,….Lowes or Home Depot!
It’s hard to get decent service from either one, unless you don’t mind waiting forever for an employee who knows anything about anything, to assist you!
There ARE a few exceptionals though.
I usually make sure what I really need and hunt it up myself, having been in construction for years,…I know more about it than most of them do.
Al Shahptin he be likin’ hissef summ ob dem cream pies in da face, yeah! ‘speshly summ ob dat chocklit cream pie! Ummm good! Now Newt, you jus’ runs alongs and yo be stealin’ me summ ob dem tasty chocklit cream pies fom da sto when da nize white lady be bizzy wid summ customahs! Ah be smackin’ yo sorry white ass if dey catches yo! Now, git!
Typical ‘beta’ male s**t…being a single dad,i maintained my ‘alpha’ status…..guess that’s why i’m still single after a decade…too feral for the feministas..
lmao
…had my kid digging ditches after a smart a$$ attitude like that a few times…18 now and sees things quite differently…
When I was a kid, I idolized my Dad. I thought he was THE Greatest Dad in the world – and he was. I remember getting up early during the summer months when school was out just so I could sit by his elbow while he ate breakfast before going to work (yes, my Mother cooked his breakfast every morning). I thought he was the SMARTEST dad in the world, too. He was an automobile mechanic and could do anything to a car. In fact, he built race cars in the early NASCAR days with Buck Baker and Junior Johnson. He was a REAL Man, too. No ‘sissy girly-man’. Children should be taught to love and respect their dads. I think some of the crap men get these days is due to high maintenance wives. Men need to ‘grow a pair’ and stand up for themselves…

The advertising business has radically changed in the last 10 years and not for the better.
Today, everything is “research” driven vs intelligently driven. I am shocked alot of these lame, YT hating commercials are proposed in-house and accepted by clients.
How many of these big companies have executives that are not white males?
The only problem I’ve had with Lowe’s was when I was changing the carpet of my house (I was selling the house), the delivery guy brought the wrong sized carpet.
However, I did enjoy being treated like a king by the Lowe’s employees after that, free carpet included.
I haven’t had any problems with Home Depot, maybe it’s a little different in WA state. Home Depot was my favorite store to go to. Nothing beats the smell of freshly-cut wood.
Home rip-off is almost always higher on things that you wouldn’t normally shop out or know the prices off hand. At best they are a push. Also, I’m from Indiana, but Tony Stewart can be a knuckle head at times and that just adds to my shop at Lowes first attitude. Of course they both come up short compared to Ace on most basic hardware, especially stainless on selection and price.
I dont need to “grow a pair” because I stand up for myself. Men who do stand up for themselves are at risk because of politcal correctness. We can be labeled as abusive or sexist. Its not an easy thing to do in todays political climate. Especially in the workplace. Its so easy for women to twist things around or just outright lie and get the men in trouble. After all, men are guilty until proven innocent. And usually we will always be guilty in the eyes of some people. It sometimes makes sense to just keep quiet, do your work, and let the mouthy women do what they want. Its not worth the trouble.
You’re right Whitewolf, it’s better to stay quiet on some things when it comes to being a man, especially in this feminist society of today, where one sexual harassment accusation (even a false one) can ruin your entire career. Loose lips sink ships.
Then again, there are those times where I just can’t stand by and have to let my anger out.
I’ve been past sick of these wussified ads too…for years now.
Instead of these advertizers getting a clue…they keep it up…even more so.
Kind of like the dumb-ass RINOs that insist on us supporting more RINOs.
Soem kind of a Revolution will be needed if their isn’t one after whatever happens when we march to the voting precincts in ’10 if we are cheated and ignored.
Oh heavens, males being oppressed!
Never mind that females were confined to their homes for… how many thousands of years?
That they’re still portrayed as objects of sex and being dumb blondes, and a list of things too long for this place to type…
But oh the atrocities of men! Having to call groups by the name they request, not knowing everything or *gasp* listening to their wives? THE HORROR!
A masculine movement… yes, because men haven’t been holding power for the last… 6,000 years (give or take a few). Oh you poor things.
Haha, men being oppressed, that’s a good one!
Did we forget our history lessons? Who was it that held power for, oh, a couple thousand years? Who are the heads of Fortune 500 companies (with about 10 exceptions, if that)? Who has no social expectations, other than being moderately clean? Who can get away with all sorts of behaviors, for which the opposite sex is deemed, uncivil?
Hey Right Look..
No..Madison avenue’s commercials are run by wimpy little skinny homosexual males who hate women and straight men..why do you think most of the men at least in my view who so often are in advertisemets that are supposed to sexy look like homosexuals ?
Oh and AWD..Home Depot polices re employees etc are just as bad…worked there briefly a while back..
And..Charlotte is a really pretty city…my cousin has lived there many years…went to visit…people friendly too..hope they stll are because I understand recession has hit there hard…I am sorry to say.
Its funny, they claim they have been and are opressed, but take pleasure in someone elses misery. The two above posts are examples of this.
So I guess their “logic” is that the current political climate is payback for the wrongs that were dealt to them in thier lives.
Things are diffrent today and they know it. They revel in today society. If they have jobs, they can run their mouths without any fear of getting fired. Thier word is taken as the truth no matter what. They are the primary target of Affirmative Action. They get thier jobs because of thier gender. Nothing else.
Women like the ones above are the reason that places like this exist.
So while you may think that you are pushing our buttons and making us upset, we know what you are about. So try again. Better luck next time.
Whitewolf, you are right on the money. Despite enjoying numerous freedoms and privileges today, so-called “oppressed” groups act like they are just as “oppressed” as their ancestors several centuries ago. Of course, men have no right to be angry because ancient law codes treated women as inferiors. Of course, whites have no right to be resentful because blacks had to endure slavery and de jure discrimination. Never mind that today those “oppressed groups” aren’t having their teeth bashed out for simply talking back to men or being whipped across their backs as slaves. Anti-racists and anti-sexists don’t care about equality or harmony, they only want payback.

haha, yes all women employed get their jobs because of Affirmative Action. Not so much.
The reason I rant is because you have NO idea what actually oppression is, you just don’t know what equality is. Yes, you will lose jobs to women because they are BETTER for whatever reason, not because they are women, and men who look physically attractive will get the pretty girls (and not all sexy men are gay either, or we’d be SOL when it came to movie stars having kids).
There are groups currently that are oppressed. You ain’t one of them. In fact, you’ve never really left the majority, you just think you have.
Saytera, I think that you are mistaking inequality for oppression. Yes, I acknowledge that there are numerous disparities between whites and blacks in employment, housing, health care, education, and other areas of life. Yes, women aren’t payed as much money or promoted to high positions within corporations. HOWEVER, that does not mean these groups are oppressed. True oppression means being a Uighur in China, a Burakumin in Japan, a woman in Iran, or a sex slave in Africa. Though “oppressed” groups in the United States have not yet achieved equality, they are far from oppressed. They have the right to vote, speak their minds (as evidenced by Paul Mooney’s anti-white comedy routines), run for political office, and even have special courses dedicated to them at numerous universities (including the one I attend). Just recently, Turkey established a Kurdish Studies class that only caters to Kurds. In the United States, not only are there multicultural courses, but college students are required to fulfill a multicultural requirement. People who cry that the United States is racist, sexist, homophobic, etc, need to take a close look at the world around them (and no, I don’t mean Western Europe, which is experiencing racial and social problems of its own). After all, one of the criticisms we Americans get is that we’re too ethnocentric and don’t know enough about the world around us. My travels to 3rd world countries and knowledge of world history and current events tells me that all you “oppressed” people in the United States don’t really have it that bad. I know, you’ll probably respond by saying that as a privileged white male, I am blinded by my invisible privileges and am incapable of seeing the “oppression” of certain groups. Ad hominem attacks are appealing, but as someone who takes pride in her logic, you should know better.

Actually, I was going to say, you have just proved my point. It simply astonishes me that you, who have seen the tyranny and the suffering by others would call white males oppressed. I am not oppressed by the law. Nor am I oppressed socially, should I feel the desire to prove myself. As you said yourself, “‘oppressed people’ in the United States don’t have it that bad”.
Now, assuming you feel that the American society has attacked you because of your gender or your race, which you have implied, you have just proven yourself wrong.
I never claimed to be oppressed. I know my life is cushy, but I imagine it would be very similar if I was a white male. And that’s the point. When groups like white men call themselves oppressed, they are insulting every group that is ACTUALLY oppressed. That is the revolting part. That you would dare to put yourselves on a level with African sex slaves, under that word, “oppressed”. Because an advertising agency uses a stereotype, which someone is bound to be offended by or because someone has to use a bigger word instead of something deemed offense. Yeah, that’s oppression. Real oppressive atmosphere.
And that’s what makes me mad.
Saytera, you really read into what you read what you want to think, don’t you? I don’t remember writing anything about white men being oppressed. And the site is dedicated to the defense of the most ridiculed and unappreciated being on the planet…the white male. Nowhere does it say we’re oppressed. But the Lowe’s commercial both proves MY point. The poor dad is ridiculed and the son’s expressions show how unappreciated the father is. The point is you hardly ever see a commercial or tv show where anyone other than the white male is the fool or buffoon. In my opinion, white men have done a lot of good…and still do. You mention slavery. Yes, white males brought slaves into the country and they also died to free slaves. White men have made the vast majority of the laws plus wrote the Constitution that gives us all the rights we enjoy.
I don’t believe white men are oppressed…we are just made fun of relentlessly by political correct people.
You must be lumping my views with some of the other commenters on this blog. I myself have never said that white males are “oppressed.” It is only my contention that we’re not the super dominant group that everyone makes us out to be. Those we supposedly “oppress” are also not really oppressed. By the way, I have absolutely no problem with this commercial, nor have I made the absurd claim that this is oppression of people who fit my demographic. While many white guys may resent such a commercial, that doesn’t mean that all of them feel “oppressed” by it. There is a huge difference between resenting something offensive and being “oppressed.” Even though black people were rightfully offended by Don Imus, that doesn’t mean that they are oppressed by Don Imus. You must have my views confused with other commenters.

Well then I suppose our views are in agreement. While I do believe that there are still some nasty negative stereotypes, it affects both men and women of all races equally. I would also venture to say that the playing field may never be evened all the way in some places, and that racial and gender stereotypes will always exist to some extent or another.
So it would appears that we are in the same ballpark of each other.
Saytera, while we both harbor prejudice and our biased in certain ways, that doesn’t mean we can’t reach an accord on certain issues. I am glad we could have this chat!

To that I would say, it is a media stereotype and nothing more. Advertising is a very tricky business, and it could simply be a bad commercial.
And I could point to you many shows where men play strong lead roles and are very intelligent. CSI (all versions), Criminal Minds, Dexter, Law and Order, 24, True Blood, The Sopranos, the list goes on and on.
I could also point out to you many instances where every other group is negatively stereotyped. It is not just you. Everyone feels the bite, and humor, of stereotypes.
Saytera, the kind of anger/resentment that I sense from you (I could be wrong) seems most likely due to the fact that you are judging men (specifically white American men) against a yardstick of utopia – a state/nation that has never existed anywhere or at anytime.
The fact of the matter is that the violence and discrimination experienced by blacks (and women) in this country 100 years ago is NOTHING compared to what is going on today in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, etc.
Whereas an appreciable number of white men in this country were involved in the abolition movement since the inception of this nation (which culminated into a blood civil war), Arab and North African “whites” didn’t get around to outlawing race-based chattel slavery in their countries until after men walked on the moon.
And, it might be worth noting that white men in this country never culturally/legally adopted circumcision of women, honor killing of female relatives, extreme forms of gender apartheid, dowry extortion/ murder, child brides, etc. What are men in other countries around the world today? All of the aforementioned.
Please don’t be outraged on my behalf; I’ve read Bernard Lewis’s Race and Slavery in the Middle East. I know that I am blessed to have had my ancestors sold and transported to North America.
No I’m not angry, and yes I do have some resentment against men because I’ve been excluded or talked down to because I was a female. No one is without these, and that isn’t the problem.
Interestingly, utopia is some what of a play on words. It doesn’t mean a perfect nation, it means no nation. However, there are no excuses for things that some (yes some) have done.
And I am happy that discussion about the real groups that are being harmed is brought up. That was my intent, to foster a different kind of thinking, not just aligning with political parties and spouting , but giving forth a different perspective. If I shook someone’s views, that would be exceptional, but if I made you think about them and really consider why, then I have done what I sought to do.
Haven’t you had other women talk down to you or exclude you because of your gender? Express a preference for a male over you?
It’s kind of like when black store employees racially profile me as a shoplifter and shadow my every move.
I think you’re falling into a victim trap with regards to gender: women are victims. You focus on male transgressions but ignore/excuse female transgressions. There’s no excuse for women that cannot be extended to men (i.e. they were raised that way, they are influenced by negative stereotypes, etc.).
Last, but not least, you and I know that women can be absolutely evil to one another. Oh, and don’t forget that most child abusers are: women.
Saytera, though utopia is an interesting play on words, that word’s connotation is far different from its denotation. When people think of utopia, they imagine a paradise where nothing is amiss. In that sense of the word, I don’t believe in perfection or utopia. In the world, there will always be inequalities and discrimination. As far as the United States is concerned, we have done a great job at combating oppression and de jure discrimination. I still don’t think that we can eradicate inequalities between groups. I am glad that you don’t bind yourself to tired labels such as liberal, conservative, Democrat, and Republican. When focusing on the “plight” faced by Americans, we too often ignore the struggles of truly oppressed peoples around the world. While living in an Oakland ghetto is no easy matter, it sure beats living in a slum in Mumbai, India. I think there are ways that we can convince the majority of Americans to help the truly oppressed and marginalized throughout the world without being self-righteous. By educating women in oppressive nations and improving economies in nations such as the Congo, we will foster a more lucrative world trade that could ultimately benefit the western world as well. I think one of the reasons why many people (whites in particular) are opposed to social justice initiatives is because anti-racist and Marxist activists often speak of racism and class as a zero-sum game, and assert that the only reason why westerners (whites) live in such luxury is because other people are suffering. Therefore, many whites reason that if they prospered at other peoples’ expense, then if other people prosper, it must be at their expense. There has to be a way to help the truly oppressed and marginalized without alienating those who could potentially help. So far, I see many problems, but few solutions. Conservative Black Chick, I agree with your assertion that one cannot judge the actions of the United States against this utopian ideal. In many ways, I think the United States has ridiculously high standards. On another note, you probably take some heat from the black community for being grateful that your ancestors were enslaved, thus ensuring that they live in the United States as opposed to Africa. While I am sure there are many blacks who agree, such a statement might cause some to tag you with the “house negro” label. Though, I suppose as someone named Conservative Black Chick, you are used to such attacks.

Saytera, please tell me what I have done. And dont say “white men did this or white men are slave masters or whatever you were taught in your politically correct college. Tell me what I did. Me. Whitewolf. The 3rd generation immigrant. The guy who cares about his family. The guy who is contantly blamed for all of the worlds problems past and present. I resent women like you. Your sweeping indictments of all white males make me sick. Im tired of it. I have done nothing but cared for my family and worked really hard. At the expense of my physical being too. Im tired of being blamed for racism, slavery, war, inequality, and all of your other problems you blame on me. You wouldnt do that to a black male because that would not be safe. Only white males are safe to bash. Thats why this lowes commercial exists. Thanks for nothing.
YAWM: Just want to be clear about the enslavement of ancestors thing.
I’m grateful that their purchasers were British/Dutch/German origin whites in the USA and not Spaniards/Porguese in Latin America or Arabs in the North Africa and the Middle East or other Africans.
I’m not grateful that they were enslaved.
By the way, that’s just one of the reasons why I oppose amnesty. What makes someone think that they can walk across a desert (or pay a coyote) and work as a bus boy or landscaper and “earn” a right to be here?
No slavery, no Indian reservations, no indentured servitude, no wagon trains, no Indian attacks, no backbreaking homesteading, no sons lost/maimed in wars (1776-present), no coal mining before OSHA/minimum wage, etc.
The government (by and for the people) have a right to screen people who enter this country for disease, accomplishments, ambition, etc. This is a country, not a non-profit agency or a temp agency.
Yes I realize that women have done horrible things and often are, as they say, we are our own worst enemy. Yes, there is a hierarchy that socially females often rule. And I have been degraded by them and brought up by my male counterparts.
However, I feel this has little to do with anything. I wouldn’t have thought it sexist if it was reversed, maybe that those particular guys were dumb (not all males in general I might add) but nothing more.
And as for the child abusers, it depends on what type of abuse. Normally, women form bonds with their children that prevents them from harming their own flesh and blood. However, yes, women do abuse their own children (But rarely sexually; that is usually done by heterosexual males).
At YAWM
Yes, it is interesting, and amusing that the true definition of the word is not what it appears to be. And I completely agree with you. It is impossible to fully equalize everyone, without living in an Orwellian society. My humanities instructor has a shirt that says “When I give food to the poor, they call me a saint. When I ask why the poor are hungry, they call me a communist” and I think it speaks largely about the world today.
At Whitewolf
Ehem, I said SOME men. I am not blaming you for the sins of your fathers. I never said I was blaming you. And I applaud your work ethic toward your family.
But then you say “women like me” after accusing me of issuing “sweeping indictments”? Because I believe that men now have to carry the burden of their past the way everyone else must? This again is not to say they must pay for past sins, but they still have to realize what role they have played. It might not be pretty, but no one has a pretty history if you look close enough. I can list woman after woman responsible for catastrophes and horrors. And I bear that weight as a female, and as a white female I also bear the weight of what my ancestors have done. This goes for any racial group.
I bear my own problems thank you. I don’t blame “white men” for my difficulties, I blame those responsible, whether they be white, black, Asian, or bloody pacific islander! I don’t consider myself superior to you and I don’t resent you.
But do you realize that there are groups right now suffering much more than you? Being a brunt of a joke is… well, just that. Everyone is stereotyped and made fun of, yes, including black people (as if gangsta rap isn’t fun to parody). It’s what advertising does. They take a type, they sell it to another type. Like Hardy’s commercials. I hate them, but they’re not trying to sell to me. So of course I don’t like them. That’s what advertising does.
And on a rather sharp note, I’d like to say… oh buck up and get over it. Get made fun of? Yeah well so have the rest of us. Get in line. As much as you’ve been bashed for, so has everyone else. Everyone’s fair game (but that will end any bitterness from me).
You would be surprised how many black people think the same way. But, they’ll never air dirty laundry in front of white people.
And, there’s a political correctness code that requires every self-criticism of/by blacks or “concession” to whitey to be modified by a reference to slavery/discrimination/racism.
I’m tired of it. I would like to see more white men grow a pair and curtail this madness with real debate/dialogue.
You cannot allow yourselves to be so whipped/marginalized that it’s the extreme of the psychology of white guilt or white supremacy. There’s a middle ground worth fighting for.
Conservative Black Chick, that’s the purpose of this page. I want people to be able to discuss issues openly without political correctness. White guilt is vastly over rated. Most white people don’t speak freely because it can cause us our jobs! It’s ludicrous! I’m glad you’re making such great poignant comments here. Thanks!
I do not carry the burden of what some white men or men in general did in the past. Period. I judge people on an individual basis. It seems though, that a lot of women have taken on a sexist point of view. And you appear to be one of them.
Hey, why dont I carry the burden of some of the good and productive things that white men have done. Things that made our lives better than most.
And yes I understand that there are people suffering unjustly in other parts of the world. Every day when I turn on the TV, I see that. And I am grateful for my life.
We were just talking about a television commercial. Thats it. And a annoying commercial at that.
I like this website. I can speak my mind without having to go to human resourses, of having bogus sexual harrasment charges put on me.
“Because I believe that men now have to carry the burden of their past the way everyone else must? This again is not to say they must pay for past sins, but they still have to realize what role they have played”-Saytera
Which is it Saytera, the former or the latter?
You contradict yourself!
On one hand you offer grace,on the other condemnation,a lack of definitive position on your part is duplicitous, and should be ignored by all.
Pick a trench, because in the real world,if you insist upon inhabiting “no man’s land”,you will be a friend to none and a foe to both.
Hillbilly Jack
NOTE: As a white male,I am very well aware of my burdens AND my blessings Saytera,I assure you.
I will shoulder my burdens,if you acknowledge my blessings.
Think of the Germans, WhiteWolf. They cannot deny that their past is covered in blood, that they committed genocide as a nation. But this does not make them Nazis, or guilty of what their fathers did. They of course can be proud of the great things their nation as done, but they must also take it with a grain of salt. The good with the bad, that’s all I’m saying.
And sexism would mean that I view you as inferior. I do not. I don’t view males as the weaker sex, I am simply wary, and this extended to all people. There are still sexists out there, not that you are one of them, but one cannot always assume that everyone will treat you fairly and equally. Sometimes you have to be a bit strong willed in that.
Again I will reference my example of Germany. Yes, I realize the position is a precarious one. Paradoxical even. And I do insist on a middle ground. There is not enough of it in this world, and someone ought to stand and look at both views from the center lines.
I will acknowledge the blessings. I acknowledge my own blessings. While I cringe at the idea of being related in the past to some woman (Mary Queen of Scots for one) I feel blessed to be related to others (Joan of Arc for another). I don’t believe all men are bad. There have been bad ones and there have been good ones. And as long as you can acknowledge the bad, I will accept the good.
What do you mean acknowledge the bad? Sounds as if you want me to take responsibilty on some level. And lets remember that white males are not the only people that have commited horrors. Women have too. So does this mean that you are responsible for what they have done? Or would have to “acknowledge” that?
And by the way I am not German. And even if I were, it does not mean that I am responsible for nazi germany or the holocaust. Remember, some Germans did not like Adolph Hitler before his rise to power, and afterward. Some of his higher ranking officials tried to assasinate him. There were multiple attempts on his life.
Saytera, I think this is where you and I disagree. You say that Germany has blood on its hands because of the past. So does this include German Jews? And like I state in the previous post, not all Germans are responsible for those things.
Lets put this on a simpler level. There are some men that have raped women. Does this mean that every male has rape on his hands? Do you hold every male responsible for horrific acts on women? I think that would be unfair. Maybe you should judge people on an individual basis rather than generalizing. The German people would appreciate it.
It was an analogy. No where did I say you were German, I just thought it was an easy analogy to understand as how a group of people could do something against another. It is true, the genocide itself was done by a small number. But standing by idly is just as bad in many cases. The German people, yes the large majority of them, assisted in the genocide of the European Jews. Yes there are exceptions. I realize that. But Germans, as a whole, still have to REALIZE that their country did that. It is their history. It isn’t pretty, no. Just like we have to realize, our forefathers slaughtered the Native Americans. Did I kill one of them? No. Did my family? I don’t know. But it still is a weight that I have to bear, knowing that a group I belong to was responsible for the death of another. It doesn’t mean I have to pay for what they did, but I still have to know. It is what happened. And forgetting that is… well, worse atrocities happen.
I just said I REALIZE women do bad things as well! And I have to live with this, that my ancestors did bad things.
You have assumed that I am sexist, that I must not judge males on individual level and associate them with bad things. I do not! I judge individually, but history must always be kept with us. For that matter, you have generalized me, by lumping me in with other women who you view as sexist. You have failed to listen to my explanation of accepting cultural history as well as personal history. Yes, that’s part of what culture is, accepting what part of a group has done. You consider yourself American? Then you are obligated to know the successes and shortcomings of your culture, and this allows people to be aware of what happened and not repeat past mistakes.
Santerya- Everyones ancestors did bad things. The Native Americans got their *** whooped. So what? Who gives a **** except white apologists? This is a mans forum, go to some Gloria Allred forum you dike.
It is intrinsicly biggotted and racist to judge people by things done by their ancestors before they were born. I do NOT accept your notion of cultural guilt. Your notion of “cultural guilt”…really “genetic guilt” is the very essence of the biggotry you claim to be fighting. That you do not recognize it when you make much the same mistake many bigots and racists make shows how insidious these vices are…YOU are what you claim to be fighting.
We do not assume you are racist or sexist because all women are, but because your words clearly mark you as such.
Historically men have exploited women more often than women have exploited men. I find some people’s inability to distinguish between the typical historical pattern and the actual guy in front of you, and your relationship to HIM, is behind many gender conflicts. A women who sees herself as automatically the victim (and men as the bad guys)can not recognize the possibility that she might ever be the “bad guy” or the victimizer. It givers her a moral “carte blanche”, the feeling she can do and say as she likes and stil feel self righteous.
The way the world should be in general; A proper nut sack just home from providing for his family,[Woman, get me a beer please, while I wash up. It’s hard to get decent service from either one, unless you don’t mind waiting forever for an employee who knows anything about anything, to assist you!
There ARE a few exceptionals though.
I usually make sure what I really need and hunt it up myself, having been in construction for years,…I know more about it than most of them do.

THE HORROR!

October 28, 2009 at 8:09 pm

And, there’s a political correctness code that requires every self-criticism of/by blacks or “concession” to whitey to be modified by a reference to slavery/discrimination/racism.
I’m tired of it. I would like to see more white men grow a pair and curtail this madness with real debate/dialogue.

Dang, those children of ours sure are looking good mama. Your the love of my life. I'm telling you, a family needs a real woman to hold it all together. Let's make tonight a celebration of life by making another sweet heart.] OK, where does the feminist ideology fit in the real world again?

Thank you AWD, I will not support the companies who use this type of advertising. I have easily spotted this pattern as well. Now Home Depot just won a lifetime customer.
