ANGRY WHITE DUDE QUESTIONS FOR MARTIN LUTHER KING
Yesterday was the national holiday for Martin Luther King’s birthday. This article was posted last year but is every bit as relevant this year. I wanted to repost it for our new dudes and dudettes.
ARE MODERN BLACKS THE FULFILLMENT OF KING'S DREAM?
On the eve of Martin Luther King Day in America, I urge you all to watch King’s “I Have A Dream” speech where he dreamed of equality for all Americans. He dreamed people would be judged on their character and not the color of their skin. I urge you all to watch the entire speech and pay close attention to his words.
Now watch this. These “events” occur every day in American ‘hoods.
Is this the realization of Kings dream? Do these violent ghetto thugs represent what King fought for? Notice how after the fight everyone is laughing and excited? It’s a bloodlust! Have these people not been, since the 60′s, recipients of trillions of dollars in welfare, food stamps and other tremendously expensive social programs to help them improve their station in society? Do these blacks in the video not receive the benefits of preferential hiring and Affirmative Action and protection to where it is nearly impossible to be fired in the workplace because of the color of their skin? Do blacks not enjoy minority set aside contracts with city, state and federal government entities? Are black farmers (and thousands of fake black farmers) now going to be rewarded billions of dollars in reparations because they were refused loans in the past that they were unable to repay? Wasn’t segregation of schools outlawed decades ago? What more can society do to make blacks succeed?
Do blacks not now run and/or control numerous major cities in America (nearly all of them violent disasters)? Is there not a Congressional Black Caucus? Is there not a black President? Is there not a black Attorney General? Has there not been a black Secretary of State? A Black Joint Chief of Staff? A black Supreme Court Justice (well, he’s an Uncle Tom)?
Do blacks not enjoy the NAACP, an organization that seeks only to benefit blacks? Watch a Black Entertainment Television? Order services from the Black Yellow Pages and belong to the Black Chamber of Commerce? Black Miss America? Black professional associations by the tens of thousands? And blacks call America racist?
After consider all the advantages thrust upon blacks, how does one explain the second video? And violent videos of black attacks are commonplace and occurring with greater frequency. How would one explain the pitiful performance of blacks in nearly every area today after so much has been done in their behalf at such expense for so long? 72% of black children are born out of wedlock. Black youths drop out of school at rates tremendously higher than those of other races. Black males commit more than half of America’s violent crimes while making up less than 6% of the US population. Blacks use welfare services at percentages far above their percentage of the American population too. In nearly every measurement, blacks lag far behind other races.
Blacks who embrace education, self-reliance and responsibility are ridiculed by many in the black community. Those in the black ghetto worship pimps, gangsta rappers and pro athletes. Black school children who study are derided as “acting white.” Blacks who gain educations and hold full-time jobs are accused by ghetto blacks of “selling out to the white man.” Many ghetto black children have become violent, soulless monsters as the people in the above video. To them nothing is sacred. Is this what King dreamed? Because this is the reality America suffers in dealing with ghetto blacks today.
Angry White Dude also has a dream. I dream of a day when people will be judged by their character and not the color of their skin. No more will I lose business because I am not a minority. No longer will I be labeled a racist because I point out the huge burdens blacks place on America because of their poor life decisions and lack of responsibility. I dream of a day when young blacks will throw off the shackles of the Democrat party and liberals who teach them they cannot survive without government programs. I dream that young blacks will realize consequences for bad decisions do not fall on racial lines. I dream of a day when young blacks will dream of being scientists and engineers and other professions that actually do good for the world. I dream they will one day ridicule rap stars and pimps who tell them they are victims and have the right to be vicious thugs. I dream of a day when my children will not be at a disadvantage in the workplace because they are white but will be judged solely on performance. I dream of a day when black males, who make up 6% of the population commit only 6% of violent crime or less. I dream of a day when black males will fill classrooms and not prison cells.
I don’t think my dreams are much different from what Martin Luther King dreamed. I have come to realize over the 49 years of my life that the only blacks can help blacks. What government program will ever teach those fighting ghetto thugs their behavior is reprehensible?
The eternal question is what kind of leader would King have been if he had not been assassinated? Would he have been more like a Colonel Allen West who advocated education, discipline and self-responsibility? Or would he have devolved into another racial huckster like Al Sharpton? If he became another Sharpton, he would have disavowed his Dream speech!
I really don’t care if someone is white or black. I don’t like trash of any race. White, black, brown, yellow or any other I missed. I agree that I am a trashist.
From my vantage point, it appears white people have come much closer to embracing King’s dream of a color blind society than blacks. I believe most ghetto blacks hate white people. Many of the black liberal trolls on this page have admitted as much. I also believe the vast majority of whites accept as equal blacks who exhibit decent and responsible behavior while most blacks are taught to detest white people from an early age.
My frustration with blacks is that they could and should perform much better than they do. I believe blacks can perform at the same levela as other races…if they only would. It’s the same for everyone. Education, sacrifice, discipline and hard work make it more likely one will attain success. And all the government programs, money, welfare, food stamps, Affirmative Action, etc. have not helped blacks at all. In fact, I believe they have defeated blacks and taken them to the sad station they now find themselves….uneducated, violent, welfare-dependent slaves chained to the Democrat plantation!
Again, I ask…is that what King dreamed?

If Martin Luther King, Jr. was alive today, I would invite him to tour what is left of once great American cities like Detroit, Philadelphia, St. Louis, Trenton…..the list goes on. All of these cities have one main factor in common…..control by blacks.
The “leadership and wisdom” of this man has brought chaos, violence, corruption and distractions to America by demanding equality for people that do not deserve or want to work for it.

The reality is, as long as there are the al sharptons, and eric holder’s of this world regurgitating venom and hatred. Never will forget my first union job after high school… AT&T. I surpassed the piece part quota for the job and blacks jumped all over me. The reason, if I left the job or got transferred to another area, the next person would be expected to do a little more work… something blacks seem to hate.
During my sixty-one years, I have found the majority of blacks to be very lazy and as a race they have contributed very little to the world.
We have given blacks every opportunity to succeed; very few have seized positions of success without Affirmative Action.

I whole heatedly believe that the black as a whole has already crossed the rubicon. No amount of intervention, whether it be from whites or genunie blacks (Allen West), can help stem the fall of the black race. Nothing can help them at this point. The only natural and humane thing to do is to allow the course to be run and let nature sort it out.
What disgusts me the most about blacks in America is how they insist that America is such a racist and evil nation when they have benefitted most from being citizens over any other racial group found in the United States. Compare the amount of adequate food, water, housing, medical care and education allotted to black Americans compare to their brethren in places such as Hati, and even the continent of Africa. While blacks here at our home suffer wide spread obesity thanks to food stamps that provide two or more grocery carts packed to the rim with food, the world is standing on the precipace of the first great famine of the twenty-first century in Africa.
White Americans have wrote the black man a pretty big check. We will never get that money back and we have payed dealry for signing it. Rather than display a sense of gratitude for the things that white Americans forded them, blacks behave as spolied children. In the coming years white Americans must treat the black race as any parent would do for their spoild child: kicked them of dependancy and let them fend for themselves.

I think AWD has made a great and inspiring post. MLK’s dream has not been realized and it’s entirely the fault of black people themselves. My only hope is readers of this site do not assume and place all blacks in the category of poor ghetto thugs. The only way to forge a solution is for government entitlements to stop, and for people like the commenters on this site to tone down the vitriol but be brave enough to openly express their discontent with the black community. We can not move forward behind the shield of PC. We must take it down.

Great points all…could not agree with you more.
One possible small correction. I have heard (not sure where) that the number of black children born out of wedlock is actually 90% rather than 72%. Either way it is pretty sad. Maybe sad isn’t the word.
I have seen where some organization, possibly the U.N., periodically puts out some sort of report and lists the 20 worst nations in the world based on economics, human rights, and several other measures. 19 of them are in Africa. The 20 th ??……Haiti. Kind of says it all right there.

Actually, I’ve come to expect this type of behavior out of blacks. While I find fault in the black community, I put the blame on bleeding-heart white liberal idiots in this society who are taking us all down the toilet. They are the ones who created this mess and put Obama and his henchmen in office. They are the ones who created this entitlement society that is slowing draining our resources and are slowing draining our freedom, wealth, well-being, property, careers, retirement, etc. Hopefully our day will come with all white boys and girls will be free…free at last, thank God Almighty, free at last!

Louisiana Steve is on the money too. White guilt is destroying America. I hate to sound like a quitter, and I am not, but I believe that we are on the verge of losing America if we do not stop and reverse the entitlement state.
My life experience with black people , unlike some others here, has been a very pleasant experience. Those I worked with rose on their own merits and did not get where they were through Affirmative Action.
I have come to the conclusion that there is baseness in all of us and that urban living under the blanket of entitlement encourages hatefulness and anger.
The drug use issue has spread to all areas of America but it appears to be at its highest in our inner cities. What else is in our inner cities?? The highest concentration of black people in America. Black kids born out of wedlock in an urban,(e.g. Detroit, Birmingham), area are almost doomed from the start.
Then the white guilt folks come rolling in to rescue them with non-incentives to lift themselves up.

I have lived through the era of separate water fountains and separate waiting rooms in bus stations and movie houses. These were wrong then and were instituted by narrow minded whites. The same narrow mindedness has provided our current situation with minority give a ways. A reasonable man, when presented with a squeaky door hinge will use a few drops of oil. The liberal will pour a quart of 10W30 on it and expect someone else to clean it up. It is always “If a little bit is good, a whole lot more would be better.” I may only be a SOWEGA Redneck, but even I can see the fallacy in that. Stop the plunder and return to sanity.

I gave up on trying to be a friend to black people several years ago. I did maintain one personal friendship with a black person longer that the others, but finally figured out that the whole thing was a waste of time, since the only time I got a call was to ask for another “loan”.

Fist of all, let me inform everyone that what MLK did as far as ending legalize discrimination against blacks is quite commendable and heroic.
However, MLK was not divine nor was he sent down to earth along with “Hussein” Hope Change, from heaven to redeem blacks! We need to stop allowing liberals and some arrogant conservatives from forcing us into expecting blacks and everyone else to live up to his so-called “dream” of an unrealistic, race-less/classless society!
White liberals love to create these mythical figures such as MLK “Hussein” Hope-Change and the late JFK and elevate them to the status of a superhuman “super hero”, capable of blaming Americans for violent, foreign terrorist acts such as 911, forcing hardworking tax payers to fund Democratic-oriented policies such as welfare and food stamps, and promoting class warfare!
Martin Luther King helped to initiate the Civil Rights Movement, but it was he who encouraged Lyndon Johnson to sign all those tax-payer funded government social programs such as Affirmative Action, medicare, welfare, head start and food stamps. King also is also responsible for branding blacks as perennial victims of racism. He renounced the Vietnam war and the divinity of Jesus Christ, even though he was publicly identified as a “Christian”.
And despite what some naive pro-life conservatives may think, King accepted the Planned Parenthood Federation Of America Margaret Sanger Award in 1966. This is the same Margaret Sanger who promoted the eugenics plan of exterminating the black population! The same organization that gave “Hussein” Hope Change a 100% approval rating for his untiring support and promotion of abortion and a women’s “liberal” rights to murder her unborn child!
King also has a niece named Alveda, who joined forces with a corrupt suspended Catholic priest named Fr. Frank Pavone, whose organization “Priests for life”, is currently under criminal investigation for financial mismanagement.
Up until the suspension of Fr. Pavone and his corrupt organization, the two were repeatedly invited on Glenn Beck’s now defunct Fox television program, to perpetuate the myth that King was somehow pro-life, and had he remained alive, would have been a conservative/Republican!
Bull! If MLK were alive, he would have been an active member of the Democratic party while celebrating “Hussein’s” so-called historic presidency!
Yes, what Martin Luther King accomplished publicly in ending Jim Crow Segregation was quite extraordinary, but he is partially to blame along with the Democratic party and the NAA-Liberal-CP, for the abysmal 50 year personal state of black America!

To add my 2c…I truly believe the worldwide population of black people are a failed race! With an AA IQ of around 80, this is borderline retardation. Couple this with the inability to think abstractly…in other words only living for the right here right now..explains them shooting each other over a bad haircut, not planning for the future, or being able to put themselves in their victims shoes, and certainly not contemplating the consequences of their actions.
The liberals worldwide complain about population control, but refuse to let nature take it’s course in Africa! They’re always trying to cure, feed, develop, and house these people who then turn around and slaughter and rape the people whom tried to help them! They CANNOT be helped! I say let nature take it’s course at home and abroad and finally rid us from the burden of taking care of these people that hate us.

The whole equality thing is crap.
While all men are created equal, we do not end up all equal to each other. Capitalism and the free market dictate that those who work hard, and are HONEST will and should get ahead. Not so in a socialist land – are all “equal” society rewards and hard work are looted to give to others.
We should all have equal chances in a perfect world, that my take on King’s dream. However, once again, this is not a perfect world.

Here’s my proposition: Hire someone (male and female) of South African descent (white), apply and obtain their American citizenship and then apply for every African-American ANYTHING. Male and Female. Then sue the “organization” that will not admit/pass/defer/advance/ignore/deny/promote/etc.The explanantion will HAVE to be that the person is not the right skin color and that is illegal. Can’t be denied based on race.

Hey Angry White Dude,
I’m calm and for the most part happy Black Dude who came across your site and had to investigate based on the title alone. Let me first say that I found your “about” page to be well thought out and though I don’t feel the white males are under attack in this country (victimization of a group that still at least in terms of monetary power reigns supreme) any attacks that lump individuals into a group are dangerous and lead to terrible consequences – i.e the Holocaust and Jim Crow in the American South.
I would also like to state for the record that even though I currently live in New York City, I was born and raised in the suburbs of Houston, TX in the county that gave rise to George HW Bush’s political career and can remember watching my parents vote for Bush Sr. and Bob Dole in ’92 and ’96 against Bill Clinton.
However, in one of your posts about the South you mention that the current Democratic party was trying to take the wealth produced by the movers and shakers of the last century. I find this post to be both offensive and inaccurate. The wealth of this country both southern and northern was based on the slave economy. Both the planters in the south and the merchants in the north profited from the free labor of a disenfranchised group.
A study put out by the Harvard law review suggested that between 1790 and 1860 wages earned and taken from African-Americans as a whole equaled 40 billion dollars or close to 4.7 trillion dollars when adjusted for inflation. Furthermore, a Yale study on slave involvement in the transatlantic trade suggests that if you add the colonial period back starting in 1619 and take in account inflation at a rate of 3% the amount of wealth earned by slaves in 2006 terms is around 20 trillion dollars.
Now imagine if those wages could have been earned, saved, invested, and inherited by African Americans, the need for programs such as affirmative action- that I believe do more to separate Americans- vanishes. Jim Crow laws also targeted blacks through the 1960s with high interest rates on home loans, denied access to education, and frozen credit for small business.
I’m not advocating policies when I mention these facts. As mentioned above, I do not think affirmative action works for the mere fact that any success I’ve had in my life, someone was there to demean my accomplishments to my race. This is an even bigger insult and highlights the hypocrisy of this country’s power structure. I recognize that many ethnic groups in the country have faced discrimination though I do not believe there’s any other besides Native Americans who have faced it on a scale equal to African-Americans.
Finally, I would ask you if your blog engages in the same type of group identification that those on the right often accuse people like Al Sharpton of doing, namely setting white males apart from others and then defending them as a whole instead upon the merit of individuals.

Jon, I enjoyed your comment and measured response to my posts. Please read Who and What Is The AWD listed on the top left hand margin of the page. You’ll find that the name “angry white” is ridiculing what the media leftists called white males who didn’t vote for Bill Clinton. Since “angry white male” was not available as a URL, I selected Angry White Dude because the Big Lebowski is one of my favorite movies. Hence, Walter.
I find it a bit incredulous that you, as a successful black man, still hobble around on the slavery crutch. It wasn’t you. Wasn’t me. Wasn’t anyone any of us have ever known! How long do my children have to be blamed and held responsible for something that all of us disagree with and also happened hundreds of years ago. You don’t hear Chinese people mentioning the Chinese railroad builders and the atrocities committed against them. You don’t hear the Irish harping on how they were treated when they emigrated. You don’t hear religious groups like the LDS calling for the land and homes of their ancestors to be returned to them when they were run off by mobs. Only blacks and slavery!
No other group has had the trillions in welfare, social programs and governmental set asides given them like American blacks. How many of those young kids buying $180 Air Jordans at Christmas were on welfare? Probably more than we’d care to imagine!
I want people to be responsible for themselves and quit blaming anything wrong in their lives on others! I also want to not be held financially accountable for the poor decisions of other people. I also don’t want to be held financially or morally accountable for slavery! No one in my lineage owned slaves and everything we have has been earned by our own sweat.
One other thing, I call myself a “trashist” and not a racist. I don’t like trashy people from any race. I try to follow King’s admonition of judging people by their character and actions and not pigment. Thanks again for your comment and I hope you’ll continue to share your thoughts and opinions. A lot of what AWD writes is tongue-in-cheek and not always serious…but I also have very strong beliefs.

I know a lot of your comments are tongue and cheek and I hope you saw my ending quote as the Big Lebowski is also one of my favorite movies.
As mentioned I don’t think slavery should be used as a reason to alleviate blacks over whites, rather the institution should be studied so we can look at the ramifications. The black experience is different from the Irish who were accepted into “white” society around the turn of the previous century and allowed to compete for spots in universities and careers or Chinese laborers who were at least paid for their services.
Social welfare has been a social disaster in many regards mainly because they were structured in a dependency way (need to keep an electorate dependent…) instead of one that empowered people.
However, I don’t think you can talk about individual rights without looking at this country’s legal system. It took until 2007 for congress to pass laws that treated crack cocaine possession the same as cocaine possession. My point is that it is unwise to think that 40 years of civil rights can reverse 200 years of bias in our legal code.
I only brought up slavery in response to one of your earlier posts about the wealth created in this country.
Everyone should be paid a wage dictated by the free market. The idea that before the civil rights movement the government didn’t manipulate the market to benefit a minority (in this case the wealthiest) is wrong and dangerous.

Wow, if rev read anything I wrote he would see that I DONT AGREE WITH REPARIATIONS but apparently if a black person talks about slavery he’s looking for a handout. Comments from people like you make it hard for people like awd and me to have a thought provoking conversation. Btw, my granddaddy joined WW2 when he was sixteen, served in Europe and then came home to Virginia and Jim Crow and became a successful enough to send three kids to college without a handout. No where in my posts did I ask for a handout. You’re pathetic.

Jon, I’m not trying to speak for Rev Wright. It may help you to understand his attitude because most black people that find this page usually end up calling names and not discussing the issues. I find it so refreshing to dialogue with someone…even though we may be of different opinions…in a way where we can still respect each other.
I think most people would agree on much more than they imagine with those that they are philosophically different…if they only would.
I appreciate your comments and yes, I did get the reference to Lebowski. It tied the comment together so nicely.

It is also “fustrating” that Obama received 105% of the black vote [ACORN], and the MSM looked the other way.
No “racism” there, right?
In addition, I find it “fustrating” that any white who questions Socialist Obama is instantly painted as a “racist” by ABC, CBS,NBC, PBS,NPR, CNN, MSNBC and the NY Times.

I realize this is a very belayed comment, but I can’t help but to write it.
MLK had great ideals, and let me just say that I share them. I for one agree that men should be judged by their character. However, that is not the full story of King’s intent.
King sought to create a system within which black American’s were fully supported by the government. What he sought was an environment that very much resembled the sort of government dependency we see today.
I will not judge the man’s intent, only the outcome of it. And when I see a whole group of people subjugated to a status of perpetual victimhood, I can’t help but to think it reasonable that one outcome would be a lack of responsibility to one’s family, not providing for one’s own children, and scrapping on a public sidewalk over some nonsense.
And I could’ve done without seeing the crack that girl was selling. Just saying.
