I’ve stated more than a few times on this blog that “we’re all Southerners now.” I.e., the wrath, ridicule, and ugly hatred that has long been directed at Southerners is now directed at anyone who so dares disagree with TPTB. (Need I repeat my common festoon of boilerplate leftist ad hominem smears, you racist, inbred, ignorant, hate-filled, etc., etc., etc., rednecks?)
But beyond that, the ol’ Yanks/Southerners dichotomy is so last century. The “stronger states’ rights/less federal power” crowd lost. And now we’re all reaping what the victors of our most costly war had long ago sown.
And we’re all here because none of us like it.
Strange that there are so many of us “Yanks” up here who got swept up in the T.E.A. Party zeitgeist of 2009/2010, and who now fantasize about a saner, wiser, more politically-effective Ron Paul emerging from the shadows just before November 2012, riding boldly into Washington on his trusty steed and hacking that federal Leviathan back down to size.
I say “strange” only because the issues that got us Yanks all riled up sure seem like they have a lot in common with issues that, ahem, much earlier had gotten Southerners all riled up.
But of course, there’s nothing strange about it. The reason’s crystal clear to anyone with his eyes open.
While this nation was birthed in debate about the proper size and scope of the federal government relative to how much power should be doled out below (see, e.g., Hamilton vs. Jefferson)—and nearly killed itself over that same debate just a little under a century later—we’re not even having this debate today. Rather, the only debate Americans have been having over the past few decades—whether we’ve realized it or not—is whether we want to take the local or the express to absolute federal despotism.
(And it’s increasingly becoming a moot debate, as we’re only a few stops from our destination these days.)
The T.E.A. Party got its verve because enough people sensed, perhaps only viscerally, that we’ve passed a critical—and dangerous—inflexion point in the development of this dastardly mutation of this once liberty-loving republic.
Namely, with the cementing of Obamacare into law, the die had been cast.
Of course, the death knell sounded by Pelosi’s ridiculously oversized gavel will only be heard by the multitudes further into the future once the bills for our “free” medical care start coming due. A more immediate concern is immigration, which promises—as planned—to render the private-sector middle class (read: white people) slaves to both the aristocracy in the Liberal Establishment (the politicians, their crony “capitalists”, the high priests in academia [self-charged with saving humanity from itself], “journalists”, Hollywood’s vacuously loyal glitterati, etc.) and to the permanent underclass (blacks, Hispanics, and Gender Studies majors) that our “moral and intellectual superiors” have so zealously and fastidiously shepherded into this land—via buying their votes with our earnings, of course. (“Who wants free sh!t?!” “I do! I do!”)
But, as we all know, the problem is that our supposed representatives—the GOP—is not just the Party of Stupid. It’s also the Party of Cowardice.
Israeli interior minister Eli Yishai had this to say a little over a year ago regarding African immigrants in his country:
“These are not refugees, these are economic migrants who want to come to Israel for work.
…[Their presence] is an existential threat [to the State of Israel.]
…Each and every one of them will return to their countries.”
Meanwhile, in reference to a giant border fence they’re building around the country, Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu had this to say:
“We cannot allow ourselves to be flooded by illegal work infiltrators. This threatens our society, our economy and our security. Therefore, we must expedite our dealing with the problem.”
Who amongst the Republican candidates would have the balls to speak as clearly—and, more importantly, to act as decisively—in dealing with our leftist-imposed immigration nightmare?
Not a one, as far as I can see. Sure, they all talk a great game. All of’em. But the minute one of their “friends across the aisle” raises an eyebrow at some swank cocktail party, or—God forbid!—utters the great “r” word, he—whoever it is—would tuck his tail between his legs and offer up endless apologies for being so insensitive to the Yahteeno community and for unwittingly seeking to “disenfranchise” poor wittle bwack people, etc., etc., ad nauseum.
In short, today’s Democrats are not your father’s Democrats. They are flat-out anti-American, anti-white racist scum who are here to do nothing but plunder the wealth that the doers and thinkers and achievers of this nation have earned over the centuries of our unbelievable success.
And the Republicans are their retarded, faggoty little bitches who, like Jack Nicholson in Mars Attacks!, keep on thinking, “Maybe this time, if we’re really, really, really, really, really, really nice and do everything they ask of us, they won’t attack us!”
...And two outta three ain't bad!
And so who are we, we none-of-the-aboves? Who are we perpetually despised, endlessly ridiculed, and hopelessly persecuted reactionaries relegated to the cultural and political shadows? Who are we who believe in a constitutionally-limited federal government with strictly-defined, enumerated powers; who believe that the states have the obligation to keep federal power in check; and who believe that should the federal government demonstrate clear and unmistakable hostility toward the Constitution, then there oughtta be hell to pay?
Internal migration has mixed the melting pot; the internet has allowed us to transcend the limitations of proximity; and since they’re gonna call us all a bunch of ignorant, hate-filled, racist, neo-Nazi, inbred hicks anyway, may as well hoist the Confederate flag right next to Old Glory, and declare our kinship with that indefatigable rebel spirit of the South.
For we’re all on the same side now. It’s not North vs. South. It’s not Republicans vs. Democrats.
It’s pro-American, “live free or die” patriots vs. anti-American, anarchotyranny Marxo-statists.
Let this year, 2012, be the defining year. The year from whence after the two party system consists of Republicans and Libertarians.
And so let 2012 be the year the Democrat Party meets the justice it has long deserved.
Let 2012 see the Party of Evil consigned to the ash heap of history.

There’s an old saw about the dilemna we’re in, “when you argue with a crazy person, to a third party, it just looks like two crazy people having an argument.” Kinda like trying to reason with, or appease the left. This has been the year of “coming out” for the Socialist party in America. They have operatives in high office, and the Proletariat in the street protesting the bourgeoisie. Also at the same time taxing the petite bourgeoisie out of existence.
Yep we got some good ole European style socialism trying to flower right here the the U.S. of A.
Brother, that sh*t’s grown like Kudzu, and it’s done took over the whole damn place!
And LIKE kudzu, you’ve got two choices: ANNIHILATE IT, or surrender to it!
Surrender isn’t an option, so…
We need us a good old-fashioned commie-hunt. We need to find us a modern-day McCarthy with the B@LLS to give those TREASONOUS scumbags a fair and (VERY) speedy trial then string ‘em up on the nearest lamppost, there to hang for as long as necessary for the rest to get the message and GTFO.
Ditto ad infinitum. Our government is our enemy in the most literal sense, and the millions of third-world savages, legal and illegal, are their foot soldiers. Most people are straining every nerve to deny that fact because the implications are very, very frightening. Once one admits there is a problem, one just might have to do something about it. When I was a kid in the 50s and 60s there was a lot of talk about the fear of becoming like the “citizens” of the Soviet Union. OK. We are there now. Judging by Obonzo’s recent criminal power grabs, we are a minor incident away from a declared “state of emergency” where Obonzo brings out his Castro uniform and puts a bone in his nose.
Y’all don’t forget the King’s birthday, Jan 8. I set aside the third Monday of each Jan. to observe, wouldn’t want to take three holidays in a row after Christmas and New Year.
Yes, the original King holiday should be THE KING (1935-1977). Retired professor Paul Gottfried has a good column on MLK and revisionist history on VDare.com today. Few writers are as gutsy as Dr. Gottfried, who dares to speak the truth. I wonder what the other readers think of his piece on King.
Thanks for the heads-up, GA. I don’t have my “this day in military history” calendar this year, so that no doubt would’ve gone unnoticed! (Oh, right–maybe CNN will give a shout-out to the rebel leader! lol)
AWD says: Let 2012 see the Party of Evil consigned to the ash heap of history.
I say: If our efforts at the ballot box fail to remove this scourge of a ruling party from power for once and for all (who I feel will take lying, cheating and stealing to a new level to remain in power), then shall we who post our comments here on a daily basis voicing our ‘deep concern’ as to the travesty being foisted upon this nation by this lawless administration rise to the occasion and call on the military to enforce their oaths to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC and remove those in power who wipe their asses with the Constitution on a daily basis and have become most proficient in the art of deception?
Or more importantly, will we be willing and able to do it ourselves?

Hey all,
Glad this late night/early morning post made some semblance of sense. (Or, perhaps alternatively, you’re all just as batsh*t crazy as me.) And thanks, as always, for the kind words.
So apologies for the extended absence. This one’s due to a rather unfortunate string of funerals and deathbed vigils I’ve been attending since just after Christmas. One was my uncle (a vet and all-around awesome guy); another, an old friend of mine who, at the ripe old age of 39, succumbed to brain cancer, leaving behind a wife and two young children; and the third–on her deathbed–is the little filly’s grandmother. I’m guessing she’ll pass sometime this week, based on her quickly declining condition.
In any event, any prayers on behalf of the soon-to-be- or recently-departed are always appreciated.
PS: In case anyone notices anything different, I reread the above to see what kind of hatchet job I published last night and made some minor grammatical tweaks–and one content tweak–as a result.
I was going to post it as a comment at your place but there seems no need now. If I hear any more as the case progresses I’ll let you know, either here or on your site. Regards.
If only the singing cowboy was here to perform a special concert for the MPOTUS and friends. Heads would be taking leave of their owners. Some May West could be deadly too.
I’ll be working on my rebel yell and getting some more Lynyrd Skynyrd T-shirts to complement the mood. My 2001 “Back to the swamp” tour T-shirt has had some impact. The rebel flags draw plenty of zombie action here in the Motown area. I’m white, angry, and proud to be 100% American!
