Opium Wars

BEIC, China

"Ah so! Opium, puhreez?"

Back in the days when the British Empire was da bomb, they found themselves in a bit of a sticky wicket with China—namely, China was eating the British East India Company’s lunch (in trade).

Now, obvious parallels exist between jolly old 18th & 19th century imperial England’s problems with China and 20th & 21st century [imperial?] United States’ problems with China (outside of the fact that the Brits back then had a strong sense of cultural confidence, and thusly didn’t hold back when it came to beating the *@!$ out of China over the whole trade imbroglio—whereas we’re such pansyfied clusterfarks of execrable faggotry these days, we, as but one example, enter wars for the apparent purpose of making friends with 14th century simians). But that’s not the parallel I’m looking to draw here.

Trivia time: What was the Brit’s response to the considerable trade imbalance between the BEIC and China? Well, the devilish Brit bastids got those little bug-effers hooked on dope, and thereby shifted the trade balance back in their (the BEIC’s) favor.

The Chinese, justifiably none too pleased with the Brits making heroin-addled addicts out of the general Chinese population—all in the name of gaining the upper hand in the trade wars—eventually went to literal war over it. Twice. (I’ll ignore the fact that they lost these wars since it’s not fitting for my analogy here.)

Anyway, speaking of analogy, without further ado, here ’tis: Take the above brief on the Chinese Opium Wars, and replace “Chinese” with “American Patriots”, “British East India Company” with “Crypto-Communist Infiltrators”, “trade” with ” marketplace of ideas”, and “opium” with “entitlements.”

Opium Den

From Opium Den to Crack House

American “opium” addicts aren’t going to quit the junk on their own; and those who gain power by feeding their addiction certainly won’t let anyone freely meddle with said addicts’ addictions. And so we can expect history to rhyme with itself a bit here in that this sh*t ain’t going to end without a brawl.

Fortunately for us, when push comes to shove, this would be like routing the Taliban or Saddam’s Republican Guard. I.e., despite the fact that they abide by no codes of conduct, and will employ every cheap, underhanded, malicious trick in the book to win, our enemies are still just a bunch of incompetent, craven, weak-willed jacktards who will buckle like a belt the moment they’re plied with even just a wee bit of force.

And that which has hamstrung our efforts in the Middle East and Asia—i.e., TPTB’s desire to make nicey-nice with a bunch of God-forsaken savages—won’t be a problem for us. We suffer from no such delusions about who our enemies are and, just as importantly, how they must be dealt with.

I believe I am correct in saying that the Roosevelt family made their fortune selling misery to the Chinese people, todays Roosevelt’s would be the Jesse Jackson’s and Sharptons, along withe the Pelosies and Kennedy’s.
