The heat was on AG Holder again today from the Senate republicans, a continuation from the recent hearing Rep. Issa had in the House the other day. When it comes to our side of aisle there were some fireworks and Holder wasn’t liking any of it. I’m going to post about some of the individual questions from a handful of what some of the Senators had to say but first let’s begin from last nights segment with Pat Caddell regarding who he says the ‘leaker’ is when it comes to ‘classified’ information that was transmitted to the NYT’s and elsewhere in the the last few months.

This is via GP:

Democratic analyst Pat Caddell told Sean Hannity tonight that he definitively knows former political hack and current National Security Advisor Tom Donilon was the source of the White House security leaks.

Remember this is not any ordinary leak. This is as she (Senator Diane Feinstein) says putting American foreign policy and American lives in jeopardy. The New York Times’ review of Mr. (David) Sanger’s book by Thomas Ricks who is a one of the Pulitzer Prize winners of the Wall Street Journal and Washington Post defense experts. In his review in the New York Times he says, “And throughout Mr. Sanger has clearly enjoyed great access to senior White House officials most notably Tom Donilon. Mr. Donilon is effect the hero of the book in fact the chief commentator and records of events.” It’s all about this stuff. When Gates, when we had the disclosure of SEAL Team 6, Robert Gates went to the White House and told Tom Donilon, “I have a new communication strategy, you know what it is? Keep your effing mouth shut.” Tom Donilon is known for this. He is a political operative.

You can read more here from the full transcript. Ann Coulter throws her two-cents in as well.

It looks like Tom Donilon has some explaining to do.’

Next up I wanted to include what former Defense Secretary Rusfeld had to say about these leaks as well before I go on to what happened in the Senate today. This is via FN:

DOOCY: The front page of the NYT seems to have all of our biggest secrets—How bad is it?

RUMSFELD: It is very serious. If you think of the task of the arm forced and the intelligence community it’s to go out around to world and to try to develop relationships with others who will provide information to our country so that we can defend the American people. And to the extent the information that we seek is compromised and we damaged those people that assist us or those countries that assistant us—individuals/ countries are going to be unwilling to cooperate with the United States and turn off the intelligence that we’ve been getting and it will be a damaging thing for our country

KILMEADE: You’ve been there in and out. You’ve seen these leaks before — Where does this stack up when you talk about – put it on context please?

RUMSFELD: Well I’ve not seen it quite this extensive. And I’ve also not seen it at what appears to be a rather high level. The individuals that are doing this leaking clearly have access to highly confidential, highly classified information. In the past I’ve seen it come out it seems at 2 or 3 layers down and it’s a little garbled and a little wrong and serving some purpose for one department or other but in this case it all seems to all be of a kind. It seems to be coming out of the White House and it seems to be all in a manner that is designed to favor the administration and the support them.

Okay friends…now on to some of what happened in the Senate today. I’ll start with Senator Cornyn, this is via FNI:

“You violated the public trust in my view, by failing and refusing to perform the duties of your office. So, Mr. Attorney General, it’s more with sorrow than regret than anger that I would say that you leave me no alternative but join those that call upon you to resign your office. Americans deserve an Attorney General that will be honest with them; they deserve an Attorney General who will uphold the basic standards of political independence and accountability. You’ve proven time and time again, sadly, that you’re unwilling to do so.”

Then we have Sen. Graham…you can read the whole transcript here.

Graham Grills Holder: Special Counsel OK for Valerie Plame But Not For Obama Intel Leaks?

This with Graham was great…hope you check it out when you get the time.

Sen. Graham (R-SC) challenged Attorney General Eric Holder over the special counsel he called on to investigate US intel leaks

Lastly we have Sen. Grassley and Holder, this is where I think Holder is off his rocker…again! This is via FN:

Attorney General Eric Holder testified today before the Senate Judiciary Committee. Oversight member Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) challenged the Attorney General on what “legal ground” he was withholding emails that pertained to leaked wiretap affidavits about the government’s “Fast and Furious” operation.

Holder responds that he is willing to “compromise” on this issue and “work our way through this in attempt to avoid a constitutional crisis”

A Constitutional Crisis my arse! The only crisis this man has caused is on the American people along with the Terry family etc. This scandal when it comes to Holder, Fast and Furious, the national security leaks and Holder refusing to name an independent council is not going away anytime soon. Calls for his resignation are mounting along with the vote in the House next week regarding holding Holder in Contempt of Congress.

We may never know the amount of lives that have been lost because of this administration around the world, let alone at home…but Holder has to go, along with his boss!

Do any of you think Dear Leader will throw Holder under the bus before long…after-all, we know all that matters to that entity is to remain President Preezy first and foremost.

  1. Lindsey Graham, is that really you???? Wow. He gave a richly deserved smackdown to AG “Howard Sprague”/”Meerkat”. Holder needs to be occupying a cell in a Federal Penitentiary…. along with quite a few others in this Regime.

    My dream: http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-xfut.....0+russ.jpg

    :)

    • Vixen…

I couldn’t believe it when I heard Little Lindsey today…he did a great job, no doubt about it.

You should have heard twit Leahy in reply to Cornyn’s words…that man is truly pathetic. I cannot wait until we take the Senate!

      Btw….Your picture speaks volumes!

      (0)
      • Jackass Leahy was first elected in 1974, for crying out loud!!!! He’s just another example–of many– as to why we need term limits. What a jerk. And WTH is wrong with the people in Vermont??

        (0)
        • Plus that weird mouth of his drives me nuts…let alone what comes out of it. – I detest that POS, always have…always will.

So did Cheney…and he told him so! – Remember?

          (0)
  2. I don’t think they’ll ever do a damn thing with Holder! He and his boss Obama are above the law, don’t ‘ya know?
Same as the Klintongs and all the other “RAT bastards” throughout history!

Those scumbags would have to be dragged out screaming and kicking all the way.

    • tazzmax:
I used to think nothing would be done, but lately I’ve had this feeling that maybe someone on the inside will begin to sing about the corruption in this regime– leak a little damning information here and there perhaps that will be impossible to ignore?? No honor among thieves, and all…

      (0)
      • So am I. Things aren’t going away this time, even Andrea Mitchell didn’t ignore the hearing today…of course she started with Cornyn…but when msDNC is finally talking about Holder’s probs you know things are going on behind the leftist-loon scenes with many big-wigs now.

        (0)
    • Paul Bonnichsen says:

      Tazz,

Respect your opinion, but I think the uproar from the American people will push Holder out. I’m doing my best to see that happens, as I called the White House (202 456-1111) twice today requesting that Holder be relieved of his office.

Pitch in AWD viewers and call the WH… we all might be surprised how a few calls can make a difference.

  3. Here’s some more…this is video of the back and forth between Cornyn and Holder…this is rich. This wasn’t available at the time of me making the post above. – But this is worth the time to read and watch.

    • BT, yeah I saw that and the despicable “Leaky Leahy” and his comments too!

Holder is an arrogant SOB who thinks he’s untouchable and I hope they DO cite him for contempt but I won’t hold my breath until they indite him for perjury and contempt.

The senate is controlled by the “RATs” and they’ll obstruct every legal move to convict Holder.

I have no faith in this miserable govt and judiciary,….it’s all a GOB criminal empire.

I watched most of that on C-span until that scumbag, “Al Franken” came on and I couldn’t take any more.

      (0)
      • Lol…I quit watching after I knew there wouldn’t be anymore repubs asking questions…I cannot stand any of the dems on the committee- period.

Since you watched it too did you hear that phony Feinsten state she wasn’t going to vote against Holder today in the Senate. Do you know if they ever had that vote? I checked back a few times and they weren’t in session. The vote was supposed to take place a noon est.

        (0)
      • Paul Bonnichsen says:

        Tazz,

Don’t forget, a lot of those “Rats” are up for reelection this year and I think you will see many Dims vote for contempt charges against Holder.

        (0)
        • Exactly…after today’s news in many facets, the votes will increase from the dems come Wed. – The heat is ON!

What Mitt Romney ought to do is declare that if wins the election that he will hand over AG Holder to the Mexicans so that they can indict him for illegal arms trafficking. After all, with so many dead bodies littering Mexico courtesy of Eric Holder’s War on the Second Amendment, Mexico should have NO problem of evidence linking Holder to their mayhem.

  7. Eric Holder is an enemy of the United States and probably the second most dangerous man after Hussein HopeChange. For those of you who forgot, this is the same Eric Holder who took part in the infamous Elian Gonzalez tragedy.

Millions of viewers this side of the western hemisphere sat back in astonishment as we witnessed one of the nefarious acts of Bill Clinton’s legacy. It was Clinton’s misguided appointment of former Attorney General, Janet Reno and the shiftless Eric Holder who unleashed a handful of armed guards into the home of little Elian Gonzalez’s uncle to return him back home to “Devil’s Island”, AKA Cuba!

Gonzalez’s story caught everyone’s attention because it chronicled a common story which many of us became all too familiar with. The tragic life of a brave immigrant who sacrificed her life, while fleeing a viloent nation in order to provide her child with the opportunity of American freedom!

But Holder and Clinton’s Democrat administration felt that little Elian would have been better off under Catro’s Communist regime, where today he’s enjoying everything his deceased mother rejected; Daily fear and Government mind control!

    (0)
    • Renee…

Great points all. And no, I haven’t forgot about all he did with Reno etc. I can barely talk about Elian without getting furious again. If memory serves me right they did this on Easter Morning too. Guns pointed in the poor kids face to-boot.

Oh yes, now he’s a good little Castro Comrade….his mother has to be weeping, along with his family in Florida.

I find this all disgusting. ~

  11. If the House votes for Contempt Charges, the Sergeant of Arms puts handcuffs on him and arrests him from what I understand via Lou Dobbs show with Lis Weil. – I hope we get to see that day happen next week. Then all this goes to a grand jury…nope, nothing is going away anytime soon.

    • Paul Bonnichsen says:

      BT,

That would make my day… Holder in handcuffs.

Usually only drink twelve beers a year… however, with all this happening and considering we have elections in November, I might just turn into a drunk this year.

Yeah, I know. Left Kansas City and drove four hours only to turn around and come back home. Just decided it was to far to drive for leftovers. Probably would have made the trip for a nice T-Bone off the grill and a big baked potato with sour cream… then of course a fresh veggie along with a salad.

Actually BT, when you mentioned you and better half were having tacos the other night, made me fix some for lunch today… they were outstanding!!!

          (0)
          • Now you really have me laughing out loud…had to tell my other half why, as he’s scarfing down your leftovers too.

          Btw…Love your acronym for Corey….PERFECT!

          (0)
  14. I think Holder may be forced to resign if, as November gets closer, Obama’s numbers continue to get worse and it looks like he’s going to lose. Why? Pretty simple, Obama’s team could use it as a big rally cry (RACIST!) to whip up his black base, which according to some reports is suffering a major lack of enthusiasim so far.

    (0)
    • So do I. I think Dear Leader is going to throw him under the bus with the rest of the pile he already has. He can’t afford to have him on his team much longer. Besides that…there will be somebody else from the same dept. to carry on Holder and O’s work.

The vote next Wed on the House is going to be telling…in my humble opinion.

      (0)
  15. Swamp Muisic says:

Holder won’t resign, there would have to be some sort of admission of wrongdoing, he’s not going to do that. He’ll have to be dragged kicking and screaming like an Occupooper from a protest rally, in handcuffs of course. Ever notice how ‘light’ Holder is? There has to be ‘cracka’ in the woodpile somewhere.

    (0)
    • Swamp, LMAO,…my opine is that with the wide distance between Holders’ “bovine eyes”,…his pappy must be a Hereford bull!

  18. Holding (no pun intended) to what Adam_S penned……….

“Resignation”……….. The “honorable” exit. Followed by a vacation for a year or so, then on to being retained by some guilt edge D.C. or Chi-town law firm for seven figures per annum.
And, of course, in the wake of same, the endless liberal apologist bile enhanced vitriol and blame game will be made against the ‘nasty and hate-filled and racist conservatives’.

    (0)
    • I don’t think that’s even gonna work this time…this is now getting to a major crisis point, even with the dems behind the scenes…and now out front as well.

The O-Team are in deep-sh!t. Everything is coming back to bite them. ’bout time…and we’ve only just begun.

      (0)
      • Not to give an answer, but scut boy and perjurer extraordinaire Holder has been as you are more than well aware wholly complicit in covering up his a$$hole buddy Barry’s fraudulent past, his endless fast and loose state and federal violations, as well, a cavalcade of injustices, etc. all of which favoring “The One”. If several members of Congress, in this case Republican John Cornyn from the tony country club halls of ye olde Senate are willing to let sleeping dogs lie via resignation – and Cornyn amongst various committees is on the Judiciary Committee and Constitution Subcommittee, I’m hearing a ‘get out jail, free card’, and from a Republican no less. Who is to say what will happen? I won’t. Or did I?

We’re both old enough to remember Ford pardoning Nixon (good call that) and yes, “Fast and Furious” is monumentally a trillion times worse – people, border agents were not so ostensibly murdered by this POS Holder and his, but let’s face it, D.C. is a circle jerk at our national expense and nearly each of these guys and gals are tugging each other off. Ya, you “scratch” my “back” and I’ll “scratch” yours. Did I mention that lucrative retirement package in addition to all the money and power they get to play with? No, I didn’t. That’s one helluva sandbox. Oh ya, and let’s not forget the famous bean soup served in the Senate dining room.

        (0)
  19. This is unbelievable! For the America people and this Congress to have to tolerate this is beyond absurd. This is criminal and it is obvious. These Democrats are now a “clear and present danger”

I thank you for the link in case other don’t know. I was going to make that my question of the day today from what I have already saved, but since I watched the Senate hearing with Holder I may tomorrow…after-all, this is of the utmost importance as well.

  22. Enoch Powell says:

Holder should have been hammered flat by the Republicans by now, but they’re too afraid of him. Who’s that idiot who said, “..more sorrow and regret than anger” when he should have been angry and expressed that anger? The Republicans are mincing nancy boys who have had one opportunity after another to go after these criminals Obama, Holder, et al. They HAD to go after Holder because his crimes were so obvious, but they have tread very, very lightly. Holder will finish his term and so will Obama. That is a crime.

Well, anyway, one of two things will probably happen. One, Obama will drop out to “spend more time with his family” and that lightweight Romney will be running against a furious left-wing badger named Clinton. Two, Obama and Holder will engineer a “state of emergency” that will “postpone” the election.

Either way, White people aren’t going to get any help from government. They are the enemy.

I’ve been a Republican for decades, but I’m so ashamed of those cowards that I haven’t even voted for one since I voted for McClintock in the California recall election. Before that it was Pete Wilson. Before that it was Reagan. Since Reagan, I’ve been writing in candidates for president. They’ve all been utterly hopeless. As bad a Democrats.

Am also hoping for a complete slapdown of Obamacare by SCOTUS. Obooboo’s house of cards will definitely collapse if that happens. If so, there may be a lot of folks willing to sing about this corrupt regime. I felt giddy just typing that! :)

          Vixen,

Can’t help but think Obummercare will be struck down. No matter how much integrity one has… in the end everyone wants approval. Don’t think for a minute that the justices on the Supreme Court knowing the sentiment of the people will have some influence on how they vote.

May be totally wrong… what say you???

          (0)
          • I know you were talking to Vixen, but I just hope the majority of them go by the law and the constitution…we know the leftist on the court won’t.

            Just my two cents. ~

            (0)
          • Paul Bonnichsen says:

Hey BT, jump in there anytime. I just can not help but think Obamacare will be struck down. There is so much in Obamacare (thanks Nancy P. and all who voted for Obamacare so we would know what was in the bill) that will be a burden on our economy not to mention hidden taxes on us. You’re right BT, Kagan and the likes will vote for it, but I will be very disappointed if it passes.

One thing for sure, the coming president will most likely be adding one or two new Supreme Court justices during the next four years… we need conservatives in there or our second amendment rights will come under fire.

            (0)
          • Nothing could make me happier Vixen…bring it on indeed! 😉

            (0)
          • @Paul and Big:
I’m leaning very strongly toward SCOTUS striking down all of O-care, but one never knows until the official opinion is released. The unconstitutional nature of Obamacare should be enough for the Supreme Court to sink it. I sure hope they’re not swayed by public opinion, even though in this case the majority is correct in wanting it struck down. However, the majority doesn’t always want the right thing, as you well know. I’d hate to think SCOTUS would opt for popularity rather than upholding the Constitution.

            (0)

Hope you are right Vixen… but do you think for a minute that Kagan will vote against it. Seems Kagan did a little lying regarding her involvement with Obamacare before coming a Supreme Court justice. Emails now show she was involved with Obamacare… if she had any integrity she would have declined involvement on the matter of Obamacare.

          • Absolutely agree with you on Kagan. Didn’t mean to suggest that she would vote against it. I just think a majority of the justices will. I suspect she and Sotomayor will definitely be in the “Uphold” camp. There may be one or two others who also vote in favor. But, at this stage, who knows? I’m ready for the decision to be revealed…

            Hey Vixen,

I’m a little rough around the edges at times… I know what you were saying regarding Kagan. Always look forward to reading your thoughts and others here at AWD.
