This is a big country. And people disagree a lot, but one thing I’ve never tried to do – and I think none of us can do in public office – is suggest that because someone doesn’t agree with me that they’re victims or they’re unpatriotic.

Give the president his due: It’s true that someone who disagrees with President Obama can’t be labeled “unpatriotic”—rather, anyone who disagrees with the president is almost certainly patriotic.

So there’s that.

But then, there’s this:

In an interview tonight with Manchester, N.H., ABC affiliate WMUR, Obama stressed the need for transparency when asked whether Romney’s offshore finances, including a Swiss bank account, disqualified him for office or made him unpatriotic.

– Devin Dwyer, ABC News, July 9th, 2012, President Obama Says Mitt Romney Needs to Be an ‘Open Book’

As I often say, the art of politics is saying one thing while communicating another. Note Obama didn’t say “Romney’s unpatriotic”—but, then, he didn’t refute the claim either when he had the chance. His admission that Romney needed to do more on his tax returns validated the presumption by the interviewer that not paying one’s “fair share” of taxes to Uncle Sam was, in fact, unpatriotic.

But that’s small potatoes. Remember this?

…[W]e’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us…and that’s why I think it’s so important that people focus on voting on November 2.

I won.

And so he did. Let’s just make sure it was a pyrrhic victory.

I agree, however you have just illustrated that President Obama is an artless liar. He drivels whatever floats into his mind to hide his inadequate leadership abilities, without thought for consequence to traditional values or morality.

It’s “his” brave new America, and he can lie if he wants to.

ps. Two excellent post in a row Red

  2. Good post Red!

  3. November cant get here fast enough… anyone who votes for this marxist POS is an enemy to America

Now it time for Obama to pack up his bags and leave america forever and never ever come back

  5. It’s time for the American people to wake up from their somnambulant state and hand this community-organizing hustler from the windy city, his walking papers!

Mr wanna-be-president, your tax-payer funded, government motivated services are no longer needed!

  6. Great job Red, you tell it like it is.

I found a video that has some of your action, fighting libtards with a License to Ill. The hair and shades are still the same after all these years. Batman, eat your heart out!

  7. A big regret that I have in life is that I’ll never be able have a “vis-a-vis” with Ovomit so that I can call him out for the inept mongrel that he is.
