Well, well, well…while most of us still aren’t over our disappointment regarding Dear Leader being reelected, it sure didn’t take long for another Bush to put his toe in the water when it comes to thinking about a presidential run for 2016, that Bush being Jeb Bush. I do wonder if this information that’s been put out there recently is a trial balloon or not…or if Jeb’s dead serious about this. Plus, you have to wonder if he’d put Marco Rubio on the ticket as his VP as well.

After you read this report…see what you think. – This is via DC:

Friends of Jeb Bush say the former Florida governor is starting to mull a run for president in 2016, according to the The New York Times.

The newspaper says the Republican – whose father and brother were both president – is “weighing financial and family considerations.”

Those considerations include the length of time he’s spent in office, how the recession hurt his wealth and whether Republicans are ready to nominate another Bush.

“It continues to intrigue him, given how much he has to share with the country,” Al Cardenas, the chairman of the American Conservative Union, said of Bush.

Earlier this week, his son, Jeb Bush Jr., seemed to indicate that Bush is open to a campaign by saying in a CNN interview, “I certainly hope so,” when asked if his father will run.

It’s believed that Florida Sen. Marco Rubio – who considers Bush to be a mentor and is thought to have national ambitions– would likely not embark on a campaign for president if Bush decided to run.

The newspaper reported that when Rubio held a post-election strategy session with advisers to discuss his political future last week, “the question of Mr. Bush, a mentor, hung over the room.”

Earlier this month, a poll conducted by Public Policy Polling indicated that Bush and Rubio are the early presidential favorites among Florida Republicans. In that poll of numerous potential Republican presidential candidates, Bush is preferred by 28 percent and Rubio is favored by 22.

Despite this report being thru the New York Times…I don’t doubt this at all. How ’bout you?

Plus…what would you think of a Bush/Rubio ticket? – You can be sure the GOP/RNC big-wigs in power behind the scenes, along with the Karl Roves of the world will be pushing this down our throats as well.

      • Please don’t simply not vote.
The time has come for a viable Third Party to enter the stagnant scene of politics.
The TEA party was hijacked by the Republican/RINO Party in 2010 instead of competing against their tired, craven, snivelling cowardice and caving to the left.
The RINO’s want to become a slightly more fiscally responsible version of the Demotards, which leaves the ‘Far left’ and the ‘Moderate Left’ as the two parties in American Politics.
I doubt this country will survive to see another election, but if it does; or after the dust settles, the time will come to form a new political party -one that represents Us.

  3. Never again. This should be the catalyst for a viable third party.

If we true conservatives that voice our opinions here and other similar sites along with those we hear on the talk shows, both of the hosts and callers don’t move to bring Conservatism to the forefront of the political arena in the next elections (2014 & 2016) then it’s over for this nation! GET OFF OF YOUR ASSES PEOPLE AND GET IT DONE!!!

  4. I don’t have a link, and I can’t prove it, but Rubio has been talking about amnesty deals. And Bush? We all know where that train goes. The GOP is dead to me. I’m afraid I’m a bit cynical about third party candidates, they’ll just get corrupted like the rest.

    (0)
    • Yeah…I’ve heard the same talk about amnesty deals as well with Rubio…which shouldn’t shock anyone whatsoever. – Too bad millions more just don’t care, don’t pay attention…and could care less one way or the other. – Yet these same people vote….this country is fracked, no matter how you look at it. That’s just how I see it at this stage of the game, or better yet…destruction.

      • We’re outnumbered. Candidates mean less than the voting electorate. The electorate must change, and with Bush or Rubio, there will just be more of the same. Pandering, or Hispandering. Bush is married to a Latina, and se habla Espaniol. That ties into the GOP trying to figure out to make Latinos like them so they can get their vote.

It seems that Republicans have no use for over fifty white guys either.

        (0)
        • Cinnamon Girl says:

Exactly right, MichaelT. We are outnumbered and it is the electorate who must change.

If the GOP nominates Jeb Bush, the party is literally over. I say good riddance. It is past the time for a viable third party and we must create it or back it and put it to the forefront or we don’t stand a chance in hell of surviving.

We will have to fight for our own country again since we lost it to interest groups. By interest groups I mean blacks, latinos, gays, (liberal) women, illegal immigrants of all stripes, the welfare masses, the elderly who have fallen victim to entitlementitis, government-schooled children, college students, and so on. This was by design. Ye olde Divide and Conquer. Get it in the interest groups’ brains that they are victims and mean old white men are the bad guys.

My s.o. said that things aren’t as bad as, say, in Roman times when an official up for re-election would hand out bread and fruit and wine, and even money, to voters. Tee hee. That’s most definitely being done in America today as it was in the Tammany Hall days of NYC. It was a rather naive moment for my dear boyfriend as he is usually rather astute but the poor guy was trying to stay positive.

Sadly, we must face the reality of America today and change it ourselves or we might as well watch it burn like Rome while Nero played the fiddle.

    • It makes sense if you consider that his positions on key issues were the same as Obunghole’s. If Huntsman had been the nominee, what would the point have been of having debates? This country needs Pat Buchanan.

      (0)
    • yeah it makes sense… the left trying to convince us that a “moderate” candidate ( aka a RINO ) would be the best for us.. makes a win, win scenario for them. It’s a manipulative projection and outright bullshite. I am very sceptical of anyone who the left approves of or has any praise for…

      (0)
    • “Huntsman’s struggle to connect with Republicans stemmed from his moderate positions on key issues such as health care and immigration that party bosses saw as contradictory to the defining pillars of the conservative platform.”

      Defining pillars? Uh huh.

  10. Does the Republican party have a death wish……it sure looks like they do…..Jeb Bush????? you have got to be kidding me……and Marco Rubio has nothing but an amnesty platform…..”No” on Bush, and “NO” on Rubio..

This last election cycle still has me reeling…..it’s way to early to settle on who should represent the party in the next election cycle…..but if the party settles on a rino like Jeb Bush the party will be doing nothing but confirming that it has a death wish………

I don’t believe in cutting our own throats……A Bush/Rubio ticket will insure a win for any commie lib nominated by the democrats……… But, it does seem as though the republican party is intent on cutting it’s own throat….and will probably do so come the 2016 election cycle……that I am sure of…..I have a bad feeling that all we have to look forward to are more moderates claiming they are conservatives..

For us, it seems as though it’s an impossible up-hill climb to get a real conservatives on the ticket………

    (0)
    • Agree. And then thinking they’ll get tons of more hispanic votes because of either one of them and their policies regarding illegal immigration/amnesty have to be smoking something funny.

  11. Back in the days of old, immigrants wanted to come here for the opportunity to make something of themselves, knowing full well that would depend on their sweat and blood. Pretty crazy that these days, most of them arrive here from socialist countries, believing that the U.S. has perfected socialism. You don’t have to learn the language. You don’t have to respect the laws. Play your cards right, and you don’t even have to work. But you do have to know how to vote.

What country do we live in? It’s sure not a country of laws already in place anymore!

  12. WTF? Really? Once again the GOP puts the RINO’s on parade.. If this is the ticket I am done with them… screw them all!

I am so sick of career politicians and their family members running for office as if they inherited the privilege from God.. like Kings for thousands of year have always claimed. We need term limits and a limit on nepotism.

We fight a revolutionary war to escape the tyranny of a Monarchy and now we elect our own royal families… maybe history should repeat itself? No more Kennedy’s! No more Bush’s! No more Clinton,s! Damn it to hell I’m so freaken pissed… what a country of lemmings we have become to allow this shite to happen.

  13. Great, just what this nation does not need, Bush III anywhere near Washington, D.C. Get thee behind thee NeoCons!

And just to prove that Republicans are almmost as bad as Commie Democrats, Rubio does not qualify for the Executive Branch as he is not a natural born citizen. While born in the U.S. (Miami, 1971), both his parents were foreign nationals (Cuban) at the time of his birth and remained so for nearly five years afterward. Rubio satisfies the 14th Amendment which speaks to citizenship only, but clearly is in violation of the definition of what a ‘natural born citizen’ must be as required in Article II, Section I.
I am so fed up of BOTH sides violating the Constitution with ruthless impunity, looking upon society with open contempt and doing whatever they want. Only a handful in Congress are decent and honest, the rest open criminals. The NeoCons have once again taken over the GOP, and the GOP and NeoCons – and bible thummpers (many of whom once again clinging to their righteous bible like they did in 2008 chose not to vote in 2012) – wonder why they are on the outside looking in………… Jeeze, let me take a wild guess as to why.

    • Four of the main Hispanic pressure groups, LULAC, the Mexican American Legal Defense and Education Fund (MALDEF), the National Council of La Raza (La Raza) and MEChA, are united in their main objectives. They promote an agenda of racial and ethnic consciousness.

They all want more immigration of their own people into the United States. They want to stop deportation of illegal aliens and want to provide American citizen’s rights, including the right to vote, to non-citizens. They promote Spanish as the official language in areas dominated by Hispanics. They believe that Americans must assimilate to Hispanic culture and language. They believe this is already their land and have no need to become citizens, learn English or assimilate in any way. By proclaiming the southwestern United States, Aztlán, they believe all those of Hispanic decent are already citizens. It appears that anyone who disagrees with that agenda is considered a racist. Author Michelle Malkin, who is of Filipino decent, disagrees … she too has been branded a racist.

  16. If you want to know how things really work, then I will show you. In the words of Professor Liulevicius:

    The Means

    1. Masses of people were mobilized in the rise or consolidation of such regimes, exploiting societies in turmoil, full of uprooted and atomized individuals. Humans caught up in ideological movements were often uprooted, members of “lonely crowds,” seeking escape in promises of belonging, anonymity, and equality.

    2. Machines used by mass movements were not only machines in the literal sense, but also the apparatus of modern technology, media for propaganda, and bureaucratic state organization, especially the police and secret services.

    The Motives

    1. Mobsters constituted the movement’s elite, gathered into organized conspiracies to achieve political power and often using criminal methods inspired by gangster bosses.

    2. Master plans were ideologies championed by mass movements, total blueprints based on ideas, promising utopia as an outcome, with comprehensive visions of a future society. They were not necessarily inflexible and could be adapted to changing conditions, while still claiming to be infallible, but remained fixed on their vision of the imagined future.

Which, to me, would seem to describe the democrats and their methods to a ‘T’, although certain elements would apply to the republican party as well.

  17. We may have had some people on here that were douches about it… But (and I hate to admit it) I think in some ways they may have been right. I think we may have voted for the wrong guy (Mitt Romney). That’s not to say we should have voted for Obama. Or stayed home. Or even voted for Ron Paul. But I think we do need to dump the GOP. If they aren’t selling us down the river, then they’re being too chicken to stand up for what they know is right. Too chicken to stand up ffor the values that America once had, that made it a great nation.

Maybe I… need to go and change my registration to Independent. And either find a new third party or help create one. One that will put forth people that will truly represent We The People, and will zealoussly fight for us, and won’t back down. One that won’t keep giving us the same old career politicians that could care less what happens to their constituents, and their country. As long as they remain in power.

This latest bit about Jeb Bush/Marco Rubio… and these talks about amnesty deals? Sounds like a paraphrasing of LBJ: “We’ll have those s*ics voting Republican for the next 200 years.” Of course if it isn’t them, then it’ll be the Dems doing it.

    (0)
    • Always stay marked as ‘Independent’…because that’s what we all should be. – Know I mean? I’ve been a registered Independent in more years than I want to count these days…still wouldn’t change a thing. – This example in the blog post is just why.

  18. off topic / from The Blaze

Mayor Gold / 9551 West Sample Road / Coral Springs FL 33065. Phone: 954-344-1000. Take the problem to the source, in force. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this child having a pet pig, and a lot wrong with his not having on….

A small legal battle is brewing in Coral Springs, Florida over a young boy with Down’s syndrome and his pet pig.

Heather Ray, the mother of 8-year-old Kason, recently purchased the animal for her son as a therapy pet, forgoing more traditional animals because of her husband and older son’s allergies.

6-week-old “Twinkie” became family almost immediately, they say, and has barely left Kason’s side since they bought him three weeks ago.

“You know, he does get mad. He throws fits. He doesn’t like things, and Twinkie has a very calming effect on him,” Ray explained, according to ABC News. “It mellows him out, it calms him down…It’s so good for him. He loves her so much.”

So what’s the problem? Apparently Coral Springs has an old law against raising livestock, and Twinkie’s breaking the rule.

  20. It’s time to start mobilizing for local and State elections to get conservatives in office. Mid-terms are approaching again too. Time to send a message that RINOs are no longer a protected species. Off-year elections are a place to start to take it all back. They are always under-attended because people tend to think that the resident of the WH is the be-all, end-all. Virginians are voting for a Governor and State legislators next year. I’m already researching the (so-far) declared candidates.
I hope that the State tea party won’t be fooled again either. The used car salesman they foisted on us in 2010 threw us under the bus as soon as he could.

You made a statement, “when it comes to politics things aren’t a positive in D.C…. If you know where that is…let me know” attempting to patronise me. Forget it. You’re just plain ignorant.

BUT WE NEED TO PLAY SMART. Libs understand money and they understand yours. Do we really need to watch NBC? Is that show or NFL game that important to your life. Take away a big chunk of the viewership and they’d get the picture real quick. The same thing applies to charities, universities and churches especially those that support liberal causes. If my son’s came home from college spouting liberal crap you can rest assured they would get a big dose of economic reality from QB. Play to win.

            (0)
          • Mustang Sally, are you involved with a local Tea Party or grassroots conservative group? Are you a precinct chair for your local Republican Party? Do you vote in primaries? If so, do you walk precincts or make calls for your candidates? Do you use social media or blog to spread your message? Do you write op-eds in your local newspaper? Are you involved in local and state politics where you live? If the answer to any of these is no, there is your suggestion.

          • MustangSally says:

Yes, I’m involved. Mostly in op-eds for my local newspaper and walking and making calls. And I’ve come here looking for suggestions. And I don’t see many. It’s kind of sad.

            (0)
          • MustangSally says:

And while I’m at it, why don’t you do a blog post on all of the above? Some folks will come here and see jokes about nipples when they want suggestions about activim. The hard slog.

            (0)
          • Mustang Sally, AWD never jokes about nipples. You know, I get criticized when I write serious stuff. I get criticized when I write funny stuff. I have a great idea. Why don’t you start your own blog? I’m sure it would just be perfect!

Before the election, I wrote two or three posts begging people to make calls to independent voters in swing states for Tea Party Patriots. Did you make a single call? I hope so. There is no panacea for making America better. If AWD had all the answers, I wouldn’t be ranked 126th on the list but would be at least 124 or something. The only thing I can suggest is turn off the TV and do something. I gave you lots of ideas and suggestions. Oh, you can always contribute to help pay for the bandwidth of AWD since you’re a regular visitor!

          • Mustang Sally, I started this page to write what I think. I think I had 12 pageviews the first month.

One reason AWD doesn’t rank higher is because I refuse to kiss the asses of the PC large conservative bloggers to try and enter their little circles. You’ll notice among the large blogs they all link to those in their clique. Also, most of them just post articles written by someone else. Try writing something different every day for four years. Not as easy as it looks.

I write what I want, when I want to. If I want to write about nipples, I do. If I want to write about music, I do. If I want to bitch about everything, I do. Like I suggested, maybe you should start your own blog page. Maybe you’d get 12 pageviews. Maybe.

          • Again, you’ve hit on something that few people even consider. A very small circle of degenerates control all that flows into the American home via the television. Either utter rubbish or hard/soft sell leftist propaganda, frequently a combination of the two. We would do well to remember this…

To hold the means of communication denied them to enemies. Public opinion mattered; making sure rivals could not get their message out mattered more. The only fairness doctrine was the Bolsheviks retaining state power. The Bolsheviks understood the power of the mass media. Their problem would not be the media, but the masses.

  27. I don’t think Rubio is a natural-born citizen. My understanding is that he was born in Florida before his Cuban-immigrant parents became naturalized citizens, which would technically disqualify him from either VP or POTUS.

If so, the Dems and their media acolytes must be champing at the bit for this opportunity to drift into their crosshairs.

Many of you seem well informed, so I’d be interested in your understanding.

    (0)
  28. Quartier LeBlanc says:

No, he was born in Miami.

    • But had Rubio’s parents been naturalized by the time he was born? That’s at the crux of the natural-born-citizenship issue as I understand it.

  29. bluffcreek1967 says:

Marco Rubio may be a decent man, and he may agree with some very strong conservative principles. But he, like many other Republicans, will support full amnesty for the Mexican/Salvadorian invaders from our southern border. The entire cultural and racial landscape will change even more than it already has!

If you think the Mexican invaders, once they gain full social and political dominance, will be kind or tolerant to White Americans, you are very naive. Many of them already here dislike the White man, but fueled even more by their La Raza agitators, we will experience even more hatred from them.

In truth, Mexicans are not good for America or Whites in particular. Everything they touch turns into their own version of a third-world Mexico. Want proof of this? Consider the once beautiful LA County and such places as East LA, San Gabriel Valley and the San Fernando Valley. They are all now brown barrios filled to the brim with gang violence, drugs, poverty, graffiti, and run down neighborhoods! Those of us who have to deal with Mexicans on a daily basis know the truth – and their home lives look nothing like TV’s ‘George Lopez’ show which is nothing more than White Hollywood’s version of Mexican life. It’s cute and funny, but it has no connection to reality.

  30. Jeb Bush is a wimpy goonie bird. He married a Hispanic and thus became the staunchest of the Bush dynasty on the North American Union. I believe he would accept Aztlan as an alternative, but, overall, he really doesn’t care as long as he or his son George are in the ruling seat.

I would love to see Keith Ablow analysis of Jerk, oops, Jeb and the other dynasty members.

I may not be here to see it, but I pray that younger members of this site fight it to the end.

      • I became an independent when Bush the elder said “read my lips”. Y’all know I am a strong believer in our Constitution. I also am an amateur historian, observer of people and ogler of purty wimmen.

I have been an advocate for a third party for some time now. I used to post often back in my old NB days. I left that site and came here because anyone who would considered a third party there was, him/herself considered to be wanting to destroy the chosen conservative (read GOP) candidate. The age old BS arguments which I have posted about here.

I went to another site which touted its conservative base by calling itself a patriotic name. There was a drawn out argument for third party support which was terminated by the site meister when she felt we spent too much time arguing about it, but not before she let out that she did not support a third party.

        I seldom go there anymore.

I may join the CP , I liked what Chuck Baldwin had to say.

There is an American Conservative Party. I wish the various parties would join into the “Non NAU, SPP, Bush or any other dynasty family, we will never capitulate , we will have a balanced budget, strong military, jobs for Americans, finance homes for QUALIFIED folks only, non work-no welfare, live by the Constitution and Judeo-Christian law party.

      • AWD…that’s why I asked her what time it was in her neck of the woods earlier somewhere above. – It was getting pretty obvious by then to me it was Brid. Some of the spelling and a few phrases as well jumped out at me.

She misses us…she really, really, misses us. She cannot stay away.

      • MustangSally says:

Don’t be stupid! I’ve seen you do this the past few months to anyone new who came along – especially if they posted a single word of criticism. You suddenly announce that they’re this “brid” character and you bump them off i.e. ban them.

But you never show any proof! Where’s your evidence that this brid person has come back? You just announce, “It’s brid! the troll!” and assume that your commenters will believe you (and of course like the sheeple they are, they do.) And since you’ve already bumped the person off, they have no opportunity to reply.

That’s cute, AWD, but a bit too Stalinesque for me.

You know what? That’s the behaviour of losers. Not winners. No wonder this place is full of repetitive comments and whiney posts. It’s full of losers.

Anyone who can successfully argue with you (or one of your acolytes) gets slammed as “brid” and barred. What a loser way to run a site!

If you can’t debate, if all you want is moany comments that agree with every word posted, then have at it. But your particular version of the Tea Party is going nowhere – fast!

Tell your know-all (not!) ‘bigtimer’ that not everyone who votes in the United States, and who is active in politics in the United States, was necessarily educated in the United States up to age 15. She says “Some of the spelling and a few phrases as well jumped out at me”. Woah! seriously??? Would it ever occur to you in a million years that I could have been educated in Australia, honey? Even if I’m an American citizen now? No, you’re far too stupid to figure out something like that. You can’t see further than your own nose.

Have at it. Ban me now. I don’t give a damn. This place has nothing to offer Americans. Nothing only whining and bitching and moaning – and banning people who don’t toe your particular line.

Now go back to posting about “freedom”. It’s funny! It’s total BS, but it’s funny!

        AWESOMELY funny!
