One of the political talk shows I caught last Sunday had my ears perked up…simply because it had to with what democrat Kirsten Powers had to say about Dear Leader and the possibility of him actually nominating U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice to take Shrillary Clintoons place in the State Dept…I’m glad I saved this, for one reason and one reason only…so far what she stated may turn out to be true in more ways than one if Dear Leader goes ahead and nominates her.

First off we’ll start off what she stated…then we’ll go to what’s happened since Sunday with our congress-critters in the Senate.

Here’s Kirsten Powers…you can read it in full here. She says nominating Rice could be Dear Leader’s undoing!

During a Fox News Sunday discussion on a potential Obama nomination of U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice as a replacement for Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Fox News liberal commentator Kirsten Powers said that a Rice selection could be Obama’s “undoing.”

Neoconservative commentator Bill Kristol suggested Rice could be a decent selection in his mind because, when compared with Sen. John Kerry‘s wishy-washy stance on getting involved in international conflicts, the U.N. Ambassador tends to lean a bit more in favor of the type of international interventionism that Kristol desires.

Asked directly whether she believes President Barack Obama will select Rice to replace Clinton, Powers said bluntly: “I don’t know, though I think if he does, that kind of arrogance — which is what I think it would be — could be his undoing.”

She explained further: “If she is put under oath and forced to go through and answer all these questions about Benghazi, I think it’s going to put the administration in a really bad position.”

Powers also contested the notion that Rice was ever the frontrunner for Clinton’s position, saying that from “everything I’d heard, it was that she was in the running but it was leaning more towards John Kerry. And then we have this press conference where the president just kind of went off about Susan Rice, and it’s now become almost a sense of pride.”

“You think he cornered himself in that press conference?” host Chris Wallace asked. “Now if he doesn’t name her, he looks like he’s caving?”

“I think he did,” Powers responded. “I don’t know that it was intentional. And I know that he went a little overboard.”

She concluded by reiterating her main point that nominating Rice would be more trouble than it’s worth: “If he wants to send her up on the Hill and put her under oath and have her answer every single question this administration will not answer over Benghazi… go for it.”

In recent months, Powers has been one of the few Democrats to be openly critical of President Obama’s handling of the Benghazi attacks, and recently called his press conference defense of Rice to be “sexist” and “silly.”

Since then much has happened since Rice decided to march herself to Capitol Hill trying to persuade congress-critters in the Senate on our side of the aisle she really didn’t intentionally put out false information on five Sunday talk-shows when it came to what happened in Benghazi on Sept. 11th when four of our Americans were brutally murdered by terrorists at the consulate. So far what she’s spewed has fallen on deaf ears…these senators don’t believe her excuses, lies for one minute…in fact, it’s been met with more questions that she’s going to need to answer when it comes to the big picture of things regarding this issue.

Here’s a great report from yesterday…this includes all videos of what was said by each member yesterday, if interested in the videos you need to click this link. ‘GOP Senators Slam Susan Rice After Benghazi Meeting‘:

The Republican Senators who met with U.S. Ambassador Susan Rice Tuesday sharply criticized the White House’s likely nominee for Secretary State following the meeting.

“We are significantly troubled by many of the answers that we got and some that we didn’t get,” Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) said after the meeting, which was convened at Ambassador Rice’s request.

Sens. Kelly Ayotte (R., N.H.) and Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) emphasized they were more concerned today about the administration narrative and Ambassador Rice than they were before the meeting.

“I’m more convinced than ever that it was bad, it was unjustified, to give the scenario presented by Ambassador Rice and President Obama three weeks before an election,” Graham said.

“I’m more troubled today, knowing–having met with the acting director of the CIA and Ambassador Rice,” Ayotte said, “because it’s certainly clear from the beginning that we knew that those with ties to al Qaeda were involved in the attack on the embassy.”

“Clearly the impression that was given–the information given to the American people was wrong,” she continued. “In fact, Ambassador Rice said today absolutely it was wrong.”

Here’s one video from FNI, you can read about all here:

Lastly….here’s good ol’ lap dog Jay Carney for the Master of Disaster yapping away and lying as usual. – You can read it in full here:

Despite Republican senators saying they have even more concerns following their meeting with UN Ambassador Susan Rice, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney on Tuesday said “there are no unanswered questions about Ambassador Rice’s appearance on Sunday shows.”

“Those questions have been answered,” he said. “The questions that remain to be answered and that the president insists are answered have to do with what happened in Benghazi, who was responsible for the deaths of four Americans, including our ambassador, and what steps we need to take to ensure something like that doesn’t happen again.”

Can you say ‘Cover-Up?’

When it comes down to the wire…do you think Dear Leader will go ahead and nominate Rice no matter what? And if he does do this, do you think what Kirsten Powers predicts will end up ringing true and become Dear Leader’s undoing…or not?

  1. Here’s some of what Senator Corker thought of his meeting with Rice today…along with the big picture of this whole scenario…and it ain’t looking good.

Then there’s this from Sen. Collins and her opinion of Rice regarding her meeting today.

  2. BT,

I think Obama will still nominate Rice no matter what… remember, Obummer’s ego is through the roof and the pathetic man believes everything he spews.

Heard today on Rush that the question over Benghazi should be the whereabouts of Obama during the Benghazi incident… apparently he disappeared for a total of seven hours while Benghazi was being attacked. My first thoughts was he might be laying pipe… I mean playing golf.

Btw… a little of topic… got to love Glenn Beck. Beck’s “Obama in Pee Pee” got pulled from Ebay in just thirty minutes. Certainly OK to put a cross in urine, but not the Messiah. Maybe I’ll take my Obama figurine and stick it in dog shit.

  3. McRino and Gramnesty will cave……….

Obongo will walk and come out of this without a scratch……….

and the sac-o-crap democrats will be kissing Obongo’s ass all the way to fiscal ruination laughing as we fall of the cliff…….saying Benghazi….what Benghazi, who is he ?????? I never heard of any Benghazi…………what did he do ?????…….

And the democrats will say…..”You Republicans just make up stories”

and the dumb-ass American people will buy it hook line and sinker…….

    • Heck Bluto…the dems have been accusing McRINO and all who oppose Rice racists dontcha know! – Same ol’ same ol’!

  4. Isn’t this just friggin’ precious!

  5. bluffcreek1967 says:

I don’t think if President Obama selects Ambassador Rice it will be his “undoing” or downfall or anything like that. Most of the country is asleep, and this last election has proven that all of Obama’s failures mean nothing to them. The Democrats will defend Obama at all costs, and the Republicans are too weak and demoralized to do anything at this point.

Rice lied before congress-critters in the Senate, just as we knew she would. Both she and Obama himself weren’t truly worried because they knew nothing would be done about it, and the American people, by and large, don’t care. This is really only the beginning (although Obama has been lying from the very start). Can you imagine what sort of lies, deception and cover-ups will arise in the next four years?

  6. Spurwing Plover says:

The best thing america can do is to pull out of the UN and dump it all to the chi-coms since the UN is made up mostly of DESPOTS,TYRANTS,DICTATORS and HOODS we dont need this nest of vipers anymore

  7. bigtimer:

Susan Rice will easily glide into her new position as Secretary Of State without a hitch. Pretty much in the same manner as Hussein Hope Change did through the once respected office of the United States presidency & as that “wise latina” Sonya Sotomayor has through the hugely tarnished, United States Supreme Court!

None of these characters are qualified to function as cashiers at a local Walmart let alone be afforded the demanding positions in which they pretty much have usurped based on their “Affirmative Action” oriented qualifications!

    • Of course you’re correct since the repubs don’t have power in the Senate to issue subpenas and such regarding this issue. Hells bells gal…I about give up some days. – Everything seems so helpless at this stage of the game.

  8. Say what? – This is kinda surprising!

  9. The left and 0bama lost Kristen Powers after the Benghazi fiasco……

they blamed the deaths and attack on the video and it’s Coptic Christian producer……

Ms Powers is married to a Coptic from Egypt……

Liberals are liberal when it deals with others or the hypothetical……

they suddenly turn conservative when it affects them.

    • ed357…

I didn’t know her husband was a Coptic Christian…I did know her husband worked with the Romney team. She had to say as such in various segments she would be on via Fox during the election.

  10. Here’s some more from Carney today…

  11. The Dark Soul of Barack Obama

No president in living memory has been as relentlessly negative, contemptuous and accusatory as Barack Obama. No other president has used his bully pulpit to so loudly bash his opponents and shift blame onto others.

Even as he campaigned for the presidency, Obama was contemptuous of those small-town Midwesterners who “cling to their guns or religion or antipathy to people who are not like them” as he put it to a room full of San Francisco sophisticates at an Obama fund raiser. There was his condescending “you’re likable enough, Hillary” slap during the New Hampshire debate.

Once Obama was president there was no stopping his gratuitous bad manners. Was it really necessary for Obama to return that Churchill sculpture to Britain? Did he really have to slam the Cambridge police for arresting his loud-mouthed and disorderly pal “Skip” Gates? Why would Obama be so vulgar as to rebuke Supreme Court justices who were a captive audience at his 2010 State of the Union address? Did it enhance Obama’s stature to gratuitously insult foreign dignitaries Gordon Brown, Benjamin Netanyahu and Nicolas Sarkozy? Should the president be weakening national unity with trashy populism about Wall Street “fat cats” and “millionaires and billionaires”? Does Obama think it makes him appear more balanced to mete out a tongue lashing to the Congressional Black Caucus to “stop complainin’, stop grumblin’, stop cryin’”? Does it make Obama seem less of a failure when he tells a Florida television station that America is losing its competitive edge because Americans “had gotten a little soft”?

Obama is someone who sprang from the obscurity of the Illinois Senate and hurtled upward to the Oval Office in a scant four years after having accomplished almost nothing in his life. He had the singular good luck to be succeeding a disliked Republican president, George W. Bush, and to be running against a lackluster Republican candidate, John McCain. Obama had the gift of making people feel good about themselves just for liking him; he was none too subtle about suggesting that those who opposed him were racists – what other reason could there be for opposing anyone as wonderful as Barack Obama? Barack was shameless when telling people what they wanted to hear; he was a promiscuous fountain of promises. Mr. Obama loved America only to the extent that America loved him in return; now that so many Americas have grown disenchanted with Barack, he in turn has grown ever more angry and contemptuous.

  12. If she has anything to do with it, Hillary will torpedo Rice. Bill discovered and promoted her, and then Rice ditched Hillary for the brother. Attacking Rice is also a convenient way to stick it to Valerie Jarrett, the mastermind behind this fiasco.

  13. These cretins sat and watched while four of our citizens were killed, in real time. What happened? Nada. Appointing Rice to Secy of State would do nothing to harm King Nothing. He would sit back and say, ‘take that, you pinche gabacho’s’.

There will not a be a white face to be found in cabinet level positions in Warlord Obama’s white house in four years, or more, after they repeal the 22nd amendment.

    • Swamp…

Off-topic. Did you notice that Mustang Brid didn’t come up with her certified number she promised to on the other thread last evening. I knew she wouldn’t…because she can’t. – Just wanted to mention that…some things I don’t forget.

Btw…it’s been nice without her for hours today, but…we all know she shall return, ban hammer be damned!

      • Brid……..

Looks to me your just looking for trouble…….

        you just looking for trouble????????

        that’s what it looks like…….

      • Some people do sleep you know….where Big is, it’s probably 3AM or 4AM in the morning so quit your complaining you dumbass Troll

        • If you don’t act like a troll you won’t have anyone deleting your posts……it sounds like to me that your posts may have been derogatory in some way……..

        • Brid

it seems that’s all you ever do is complain and whine…in every one of your incarnations here on that seems that is your motus operendi

  14. Don’t put it past this arrogant SOB to try and jam Susan Rice (personally I think she would be a better SOS than that pansy Kerry) down our throats and further polarize the country along racial and gender lines. He thrives on this kind of nonsense and mark my words that at the end of his 2nd term that this country will be at each others throats. The fact that he won a Nobel prize de-validates that award permanently. He is no peacemaker, he a subtle divider who will do anything to further his socialist agenda.

    • Wow oh wow did you ever hit the nail smack-dab on the head and slam it down in every aspect. Including Kerry vs Rice. Both are two peas in a pod to me. Some on our side are only saying they would rather have Kerry now instead of Rice aren’t fooling all of us…we know they are hoping to gain a seat if Kerry is nominated/appointed instead. …know what I mean?

  15. If Obama fell in shit
we would have to find out how much he weighed so we could know how much to dip out.

    • Why would we bother to dip him out? – Heck…let him degrade into the pond scum he is and always will be…then call the EPA to the rescue so they could declare it a dangerous contaminated site.

  16. He’ll definitely nominate her. He got so angry when questioned about her statements I think he’ll do it just to thumb his nose at us.

After all, he’s the PRESIDENT by golly. Who are we to question HIM?

To add insult to injury, Rice will not only refuse to answer some of the questions, I am certain she will lie under oath and still get approved.

  17. Well she has proven herself to be a good little puppy, sit, stay, take a beating and come back for more.

I say let her have the position, if it excelerates the downfall. I say give him all the rope he needs to hang himself…..Ooops, was that a racist statement?

  18. Of course they’re silent about what’s going on in Egypt…they’ll stay that way too.

    Then there’s this ~

  19. Wow…just read this too. Of course this should be a conflict of interest, but since it’s a democrat it won’t matter…and if anyone dare challenge it, they’ll be called a racist!

Speaking of race…check this out from Susan Rice in her earlier years. ~

  20. RidinShotgun says:

Bluto, BigTimer, I love you guys but here I respectfully disagree. He knows that once she’s under oath, both of them are toast, therefore – he’ll wait until congress is in recess and make her a recess appointment. And a year or two from now when her reappointment comes up, any opposition to her will be met with the following refrain, “Oh for crying out loud, that (Benghazi) was what? Two years ago? Why don’t you guys try coming up with something a little more up to date. Secretary Rice has done an exemplary job since the President made her a recess appointment, why don’t you judge her on her job performance over the last two years?”
    Just wait, it’ll come.

    • I agree about a recess appointment…heck, he appointed people when the Senate WASN’T in recess not that long ago and the GOP did nada but whine a little.

Believe me RS…what you’ve posted has crossed my mind as well. He’s going to get her in come hell or high water!

  21. You’ve got to check this out…this should be a huge problem for Rice being confirmed if she is nominated.

…and this, believe it or not…msDNC reported about this today.

  22. Just read about this…pretty interesting read.

  23. Say what?! – You have to know she’s in cahoots with this administration. They must be backing away from Rice now.
