Another state will become a ‘Right-to-Work’ state, the one joining the list of other states is none other than Michigan…and of course the union thugs do what they do best, protest in the most despicable of ways…guess they don’t have a clue to why things are backfiring on them…and backfiring in a big way. – Thank goodness we have republican governors!

This is what Gov. Snyder had to say recently in one of his interviews with Neil Cavuto. – This is via FB:

Gov. Rick Snyder (R., Mi.) said his state was going to get right-to-work legislation passed, calling it “pro-worker” and good for the economic development of Michigan in an interview Friday on Fox News.

Massive union protests have met the proposed legislation that could be signed into law by Snyder as early as next week, which would ban labor contracts requiring automatic union payments from employees, whether or not they joined.

“It’s really important for a couple reasons,” Snyder said. “First of all, it’s all about about being pro-worker. We have hardworking people in Michigan, and it’s important to give them the freedom to choose. They should be able to choose whether to join a union or not, and this is about the relationship between a union and workers, not about employers and unions, not about collective bargaining. This is solely focused on their relationship, and shouldn’t people have the opportunity to say they want to belong or not? The second piece is, I think this can be good for economic development for more and better jobs coming to Michigan. We’ve watched closely what’s gone on in Indiana. They’ve seen many more more companies look at Indiana, citing this as one of the factors, the fact that they did it back in February. They can have thousands more jobs in that state, because they became a right-to-work state.”

Snyder rebuffed host Neil Cavuto’s question that some looked at this as being bent on the eventual dismantling of unions.

“If you look at unions in Michigan, they’ve done a lot of great things in our state,” he said. “We’re the center of the labor movement going back the last century. Now I don’t believe it’s appropriate to say, just to keep your job, you have to pay dues and be a union member. So, basically this creates an environment where people can say they’re choosing to join a union because the unions put a value proposition to make it worthwhile, and if the union’s not providing value, someone shouldn’t be forced to choose. So I view this as pro-worker legislation.”

Watch the video below…it’s a good one. (Thanks to Snake Oiler for finding this…so I didn’t have to thru the work I was earlier.)

Then we have this…I don’t know if they can get any lower. – This is via FN:

Disgruntled union workers put their fight against Cablevision over the fight against cancer at a Times Square protest last night.

About 50 members of the Communications Workers of America Local 1109 disrupted a benefit for cancer research at the Hard Rock Cafe, carrying signs and blaring music as attendees streamed in.

Cablevision CEO James Dolan, whose rock band performed at the event, told The Post that the workers’ actions are “despicable.”

“They think being disruptive for their personal gain is more important than beating pancreatic cancer,” he said. “Their values are twisted. I’m surprised at the depth of their lowness. Everyone who deals with them should take note. It’s shameful.”

The benefit was expected to raise $1.75 million for the Lustgarten Foundation, which funds pancreatic-cancer research.

The foundation is named for Cablevision exec Marc Lustgarten, who died of pancreatic cancer in 1999. Cablevision pays all the foundation’s administrative costs, and the foundation says that all the money raised last night will go to research.

I say…’Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho, Union Thugs Have To Go!’ – How ’bout you?

  1. Snake Oiler says:

Republicans have commanding majorities in both chambers — 64-46 in the House and 26-12 in the Senate. Under their rules, only a simple majority of members elected and serving must be present to have a quorum and conduct business. For that reason, Democrats acknowledged that boycotting sessions and going into hiding, as some lawmakers in neighboring Indiana and Wisconsin have done in recent years to stall legislation unpopular with unions, would be futile in Michigan.

    • Snake…thanks for that link. It saved me from what I had to put there earlier when it came to the video. – Free Beacons videos on some subjects are non-stop voice video…it drives me nuts!

  2. Uh-Oh friends….I must have accidentally clicked the wrong tab behind the scenes…this is still a work in progress. ~

  3. I’m so tired of bullies. Union people are bullies. I got bullied all my life as a kid. I’m not a ‘tough guy’. I don’t look like a tough guy, so I got picked on. I get road raged by people in this stupid city I live in every day. Liberals, Democrats, union thugs, are all bullies. I’m not a tough guy, but I’m extremely dangerous. A lifetime of taking shit from assholes who think they are somebody takes it’s toll.

These union tough guys are going to pay a price one day, a very dear one. At some point the bullied one reaches a limit. I don’t know where that limit is in me, but when it’s reached, thats it, it’s on.

When these liberal goons go to far, there will be reckoning. People will get hurt. This government will push people too far, and they will pay. The crimes perpetrated by the protected classes in this country will pay.

I prefer peace. I prefer to live my life as I see fit, doing the best I can and not harming others in the process. But when these people go out of their way to infringe on my rights, there is only so much one can take.

These assholes have run roughshod on society for long enough. Blind rage is what they will reap, and everything that goes with it.

Count on it, bully me at your peril. So keep up with the bullying, and see what you get.

  4. Unions are like other organizations – Sierra Club, ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center, and many do-gooder clubs. They may have had some justification in their early days, but have lived long past their “sell-by” date. They seem to be more interesting in fundraising than what they were initially founded to do.

    • They ain’t do gooders, they are Commie thugs plain and simple. CRB’s Commie Rat Bastards.

      • That they are…and the Union Big-Wigs are proud of that fact. ~

        • The main power of a union is to get the compulsory dues money rolling in. They don’t have to do a good job for the (compulsory) membership – they just have to be there. Unions holler about big business but unions ARE big business. They’re as hypocritical as tax dodger Warren Blowhard Buffett and even more profitable than the $PLC. Pay the dues every month or hit the street. When you get laid off your pay ends for awhile while the union officials stay on the payroll. Their message to you is the same : vote Demoleft! Yes, it has happened to me, but I never vote Demoleft, of course. Many union members are conservatives. I went to a union meeting one time.

          • MM….nail on head! I had to be with the SEIU way back when…the requirements and bullying was despicable to say the least. Along with the required meetings and ‘teaching films’…which were infuriating, boring and everything against my grain. – I did the opposite until I got another job with the exception of having no choice of them taking some of my wages for their commie coffers. – I was pretty young back then compared to now…but you could see the forest for the trees easily. – Commie Madness.

  5. bigtimer;
Good new’s, now some of the people of Detoilet can get a job and —wait, never mind.

    • ga steve…

In that video Cavuto features what the Detroit (gal) congress-critter said about wanting their money from Dear Leader because they all voted for him…she demands a quid pro for a bail-out dontcha know. (which of course is tax-payers money)

  6. Michigan Unions killed the auto industry in Detroit……..

with the INTERNET, the US Department of Labor, OSHA, and all the other federal agencies…..

  7. Steve Sybert says:

I am glad to see right-to-work pass in Michigan. I’ll tell ya, I never thought I’d see it happen. Maybe now, a person can actually work in the state of Michigan, and actually make a living.

    • I never thought I’d see that happen in Michigan either SS…not in a million years.

Wonder what Specter would say today if he were still alive. ~

  8. List of states that have ‘Right to Work’ laws. – Michigan is about to make it 24.
