Day-O! Here we go again folks…playing the race-card never ends with the leftist-loons in this country! This time Belafonte plays the blame game, he’s laying the guilt squarely on ‘White America‘ for black gun crimes that have been commited over the years! That’s right, it’s all our fault a “river of blood washes the streets of our nation”…and don’t you forget it!
I’m really short on time today so I’ll cut to the chase…here’s the report. – This is via WND:
WASHINGTON – Harry Belafonte, entertainer, long-time left-wing activist and admirer of Third World dictators, inserted himself into the national debate on gun control when he claimed “white Americans” who agitate for gun rights are ignoring the black “river of blood that washes the streets of our nation.”
The actor was on hand to be honored at the 2013 NAACP Image Awards when he asserted in his acceptance speech that the “group most devastated by America’s obsession with the gun is African Americans.”
“Although making comparisons can be dangerous, there are times when they must be noted,” he said. ‘America has the largest prison population in the world. And of the over 2 million men, women and children who make up the incarcerated, the overwhelming majority is black. We are the most unemployed, the most caught in the unjust systems of justice, and in the gun game, we are the most hunted.”
Belafonte continued: “The river of blood that washes the streets of our nation flows mostly from the bodies of our black children. Yet, as the great debate emerges on the question of the gun, white America discusses the constitutional issue of ownership, while no one speaks of the consequences of our racial carnage.”
Coverage of the NAACP Image Awards highlighted “Django Unchained” actor Jaime Foxx’s controversial statement that “black people are the most talented race in the world.”
Belafonte failed to mention that a disproportionate share of gun violence in America is black-on-black. FBI and crime data from major city police departments show it’s black people “hunting” other blacks that largely comprises the “river of blood” flowing in American streets.
A WND analysis of the murder rates in Chicago from 2003 to 2011 show most of the city’s massive murder mayhem is black-on-black crime. Moreover, the death toll by murder in Chicago over the past decade is greater than the number of American forces who have died in Afghanistan since the beginning of Operation Enduring Freedom, according to a police analysis.
A WND review of the Chicago Police Department Murder Analysis reports from 2003 to 2011 provides a statistical breakdown of the demographics of both the victims and offenders in the 4,265 murders in Chicago over that time period.
For the 2003-2011 period, blacks were the victims of 75 percent of 4,265 murders. Blacks also were the offenders in 75 percent of the murders.
According to the 2010 U.S. Census information, Chicago has a population of 2,695,598 people. The city is 33 percent black, 32 percent white (not Hispanic), and 30 percent Hispanic or Latino in origin.
For the 2003-2011 period, whites were nearly 6 percent of the victims and accused of carrying out 4 percent of the murders.
For the 2003-2011 period, Hispanics or Latinos were 19 percent of the victims and 20 percent of the offenders.
Belafonte is no stranger to controversy, recently advocating that critics of President Obama should be thrown in jail.
“The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a Third World dictator and just put all of these guys in jail,” he said to MSNBC’s Al Sharpton regarding how deal with those who stand in the way of Obama’s second-term goals.
On a January 2013 edition of MSNBC’s “PoliticsNation” show, Belafonte appeared in a segment with Kerry Kennedy of the RFK Center for Justice.
Sharpton asked Belafonte: “All right, Harry. You fought for decades for some of the quote, ‘entitlements’ that the right wing wants to try and balance this budget, balance the deficit off of. As you look at this, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, [you’ve] been an activist leader from Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt through Dr. King, through Mandela, to Obama. How do you view this and what is the challenge for those that are on the field today?”
Belafonte responded: “What I think has most attracted me through this whole process is watching the political maturity of the American people. There was a great question during the first election as to whether or not Barack would even be elected. And after the turnout showed emphatically [it] would put him in the presidency, it’s interesting to watch the second term.”
He continued: “When everybody really didn’t quite know what the game would be. Well, the American people, in their maturity, declared themselves fully. We want what Barack Obama is talking about. We want the country to go in that direction.”
Belafonte said “what fascinates me, is that the face of millions of Americans expressing their desire. The whole political establishment defining its game, that there should be this lingering infestation of really corrupt people who sit trying to dismantle the wishes of the people, the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama.”
“And I don’t know what more they want,” he said. “The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a Third World dictator and just put all of these guys in jail. You’re violating the American desire.”
In 2006, Belafonte called then-President George W. Bush “the greatest terrorist in the world” when he was part of delegation with actor Danny Glover and Cornel West to visit Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
He praised Chavez, saying, “No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we’re here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people … support your revolution.”
So friends…do you have a message for Belafonte? – Seems to me he, and others like him, are the real racists…not us! I mean really, how much more blatant could one get? But shhh, don’t tell the msm that…it’s our little secret!
