Dudes and dudettes…this will be short and to the point. After you digest what the tried and true, RINO-Deluxe, David Brooks had to say about the ‘Tea Party‘ vs the ‘Establishment‘ a few days ago…please see if you agree with his assessment and conclusion about the big picture of things in the political circles of congress and the future of where he says the real power will end.

This is via DC:

On “PBS NewsHour” on Friday, during his regular segment with syndicated columnist Mark Shields, New York Times columnist David Brooks said the ongoing infighting within the conservative movement isn’t going away any time soon.

“I think it’s the beginning of a longer-lasting thing,” Brooks said. “There’s been a lot of calls for Republicans to change. And we have seen that from everybody to Paul Ryan to Marco Rubio. Now we’re beginning to see the donor class really begin to change. There is some question: Are they trying to change just the candidates, so they don’t get Todd Akin, or they trying to actually change some of the substance? And, so far, it seems to be just the candidates. One of the interesting things — and I can’t say I know the answer to this — is, how much will the tea party fight back? There has been some effort that they are saying, oh, the establishment is taking over.”

The establishment will eventually trump the tea party, Brooks said.

“But my own sense of things so far is that there is not the will to fight among the tea party, and that a lot of people in the tea party are, frankly — they’re not,” he continued. “They are also Republicans. Say, Rush Limbaugh, for example, who is not tea party. He’s more an establishment Republican who wants the Republican Party to win. So I have a feeling that the establishment is going to have maybe an easier time of it than some might think.”

So friends…after all is said and done in the end, who do you think will win the fight? The grass-root Tea Party movement, or the republican Establishment?

First and foremost, please be brutally honest about your answers when you reply!

  1. BT,

I only know one thing for sure… the Democrat party and the path they want for America is not the America I want. So for any Republicans who constantly wring their hands over political correctness or who are always wanting to reach across the aisle to the perverted left, be assured my vote will not be cast for you.

I’m afraid America’s greatness has reached an end… the welfare moochers and morons who put Obama back in office now outnumber those of us who know anything about the history of America and what made this a great nation.

    • That’s what I fear as well…it’s the moochers, the cradle to grave babies that will win this war on our once great nation and destroy it in the meantime day by day…with the help of the majority of the politically correct, gutless-wonders of ‘establishment republicans’…I fear we are baked, stick a fork in it…America as we knew it is done.

      Hope I’m wrong…but, I fear not. ~

      • I think we are at a point where the only solution will be a revolution… I’m by no means a rocket scientist, but I’m damn tired of the complete morons who walk amongst us and the lazy who never applied themselves while wanting you and I to pick up their tabs.

        • Right you are….along with the msm urging the leftist morons and RINOS alike to follow their agenda. – Morons indeed…in more ways than one.

      • I enjoy your posts and try to spread the word. Brooks and his crowd are the same idiots who claimed Ronald Reagan couldn’t win in November. He won every November he was on the ballot : 4 for 4, two for gov, two for pres. When wwas the last time a “moderate” defeated a liberal anyway ?
” Since Wendell Willkie in 1940, every moderate to liberal Republican has claimed to be more ‘electable’ than his conservative rivals for the Republican nomination.”
        – Joseph Sobran

  2. My opinion is that the rino’s know there time is short and they better get with the program of smaller govt. The tea party hasn’t lost area or initiative, we are organizing and finding solid candidates.

If that appears as though we aren’t ready for a street brawl and are less motivated; dooming them!

    Blistered, out!

  3. Since that leftist-loon is mentioned in the blog post itself, just saw this…thought I’d throw this in mix just for the heckuva it. ~

TIME magazine has big time article with MICHEAL BLOOMJERK pushing for GUN CONTROL l not surprised since TIME is pretty well a leftists news rag and propeganda piece for the left why else is its boder RED while else do the support AMNSTY and THE DREAM ACT why else did they also feature a GO VEGAN article and push this GLOBAL WARMING poppycock

  5. Rides A Pale Horse says:

    Ladies and gentlemen:

We cannot fall prey to defeatist thinking. And that is what is happening not just here at AWD but in far too many areas of this country. Giving up is not an option. Surrender is NEVER an option. We speak of what the founding fathers would think of what we face today, trying to figure out what they would have to say about the crises we face today. My opinion is that they are probably seeing all the defeatist thinking and are ashamed. Our founders faced much tougher issues but they persevered in the face of overwhelming odds to establish this republic and we cannot let them down by accepting defeat without so much as a battle, at the hands of those who would destroy it. We cannot and we MUST NOT allow this great experiment to fail because, thinking it to be hopeless, we won’t fight for it. This is the time that we must all work together to send a message that the republic is not dead or dying. We MUST do everything we can to fight for liberty and that includes changing the defeatist attitude that seems to be becoming the norm on our side. Whining and complaining and crying that the republic is dead is NOT a path to victory.

I have the utmost faith that no matter how depressing the daily news is, no matter what is said by the opposition, how many changes they put in place or how they try to destroy this republic that it will only serve to steel the resolve of the true patriots to do whatever it takes including, God forbid, armed conflict if necessary, to get this United States back on the foundations that were laid down for us 237 years ago. We CANNOT allow the opposition to see that we think we are beaten, as doing so will only embolden them to go even further in the destruction of the greatest nation on Earth.

We MUST remember and abide by the words of our founding fathers and leaders from the past that knew the importance of keeping a positive attitude about victory over the greatest challenges they faced and now the challenges that we face. We have to dig down deep and re-awaken the founders DNA that runs through all true patriots and act as they would expect us to. To paraphrase: “To this we (MUST) pledge our lives, our fortunes and our sacred honor.”

” The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.”

God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty…. And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.” Thomas Jefferson

“It is the unconquerable nature of man and not the nature of the weapon he uses that ensures victory.”
    – General George Patton Jr.

“You’re never beaten until you admit it.”
    – General George S. Patton, Jr

I, as an AMERICAN, refuse to admit defeat and I refuse to accept the opinions of those who do.

    • RAPH…

I’m not giving up, I think the majority of us here will continue to fight the good fight anyway we can until our last breath, if ya know what I mean. ~

The left will do anything and everything to discredit the Tea Party. Just more B-S from the usual sources. Anyway, this headline reflects what those would do anyway if they could to pass more suspect upon the Tea Party…

  7. You’ve already lost the country and the train is on the track.

90% of all legal immigrants are non caucasian, with non enforcement of immigration law and millions of illegal aliens STILL flooding in.
    The demograhics have ALREADY flipped!

These people will be voting democrat and your guns will be toast.
The death knell was the second election of Obama and John Boehner holding power.
The Tea Party is too late…
    It’s over.

    • Edtudo…

I’m throwing Eric Cantor in the mix too. – Every time he opens his mouth I cringe with disappointment and disgust. We’ll never get rid of them, or their power.

We refuse to hand over our constitution to the UNITED NATIONS to rip up and replace with their worthless treaties we evict these UN crooks from america

  9. Gun Control — No matter what your opinion, you need to see this

  10. Game over folks, the libs . outnumber us. Keep your powder dry and your rails oiled.

    • Has anyone noticed the Govt is buying more Ammo, more than they need, for over 30 years of war? They are drying up the ammo supply to the civilian market slowly and surely as the day is long. Surplus brass from Govt shooting, practice is being sold overseas. New brass will get harder to find and much more expensive, hoard some NOW, shoot later. Ammo will be good for years stored inside houses. Buy the same caliber gun the Govt is buying, don’t go exotic as it won’t be there when ya need it.

  11. Boy, oh boy…ain’t this the truth!

  12. RidinShotgun says:

Frankly this is what falls under the rubric of PsyOps. Keep telling the peasants that they can’t win and may be they’ll believe it. I can’t see the establishment winning in the long run, after all, look at the last election and you see the numbers – most of the base stayed home! This keeps up for the next two cycles and the repubs will have to fold up shop, as they won’t have enough big donors to cover all the bases – money wise.
As for the TeaPartiers not wanting to have any infighting, most everyone in my family votes republican and having said that, they were all livid at this last election and how – once again – the establishment chose our candidate for us. There was no end to the “How the hell can they do this to the base?” cries from my family – friends too. However they all said the same thing, “These friggen people better not come looking for any money from us, that’s all I’m saying!”

If the Tea Party wants to attract more followers, they’d better start addressing illegal immigration as a platform subject. Many arguments could be made as to how illegal immigration – if it were seriously addressed (No benefits, no tutition, kick ’em out of the ER, your offspring ARE NOT citizens anymore just because they were born here, etc.) most of them would voluntarily go home. Good luck though, as I tried to bring the above out at a Tea Party website known as Red State (Don’t meant to throw anyone here under the bus, but I wanted to quantify what I was saying.) and I got responses like, “Sorry, go talk to Tom Tancredo, we’re not interested in talking about that here.” Or, one particularly nasty individual wrote, “Perhaps you should go and post this subject on stormfront.com, I’m sure you’ll find a lot of like-minded individuals there to get involved in your hate-fest.”
That is one thing about the Tea Party that certain talking heads have been dead-on accurate about – that they are so paranoid about being labeled racists, that they’ll go out of their way to do the opposite. Not that it will matter mind you.

    • RS…

The responses you got from some on the Red State blog, is one of the main reasons I quit posting there years ago. – Just wanted to throw that in. 😉
