MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD!

It seems guns are starting to show back up and remain for a few days at gun stores. That is, unless Mark Kelly and other anti-gun libs are in town buying up the supply! Ammo? That’s another question. Bullets these days are as scarce as spelling bee championships are for Sean Penn! Ammo cannot be found. Store shelves are empty. Walmart, where America buys bullets, has imposed a 3 box limit on ammo if you can find a box…which you cannot. Most is purchased before it hits the shelves.

Certainly, part of the culprit for ammo scarcity has been the four-year buying spree of guns never before seen in America. But if you’ve purchased an AR in .223, 5.56, or .308, or a .38, .357, .40, .45 caliber recently, the only way you’ll be able to defend yourself with it is to use that sumbitch as a hammer! No bullets to be found! Besides Americans going on a buying spree, the federal government has been buying ammo like George Soros buys Democrats. Yes, that would be the same federal government that seeks to impose gun control tyranny on American citizens by scaling back or the total destruction of the Second Amendment.

To protest the rash of anti-gun state legislation since the shooting at Sandy Hook, numerous gun manufacturers have stopped selling to state governmental and police agencies in states where their products are unlawful for regular citizens. At last count, AWD found 118 companies that have quit selling to government. Good on them for doing the right thing and standing up for our God-given Second Amendment rights! Question. Where the hell are the ammunition manufacturers in this ban?

The government has, in effect, enacted unlegislated gun control over the American people by cornering the ammunition market. As mentioned, guns don’t work very well without bullets. Firearms manufacturers figured out the danger to American liberties posed by statist gun controls, why haven’t the bullet manufacturers?

With the billions of rounds purchased by the federal government in the past few years, let them learn to ration! It is most disconcerting to believe those bullets might one day be used against the American people. At best, the large government purchases are making ammunition impossible to find! Moreover, once found, one must sell their children off for medical experiments to afford a box!

Angry White Dude calls on every ammunition manufacturer to not enter into another contract with any federal or state government entity except for those that supply the US military. No more bullets for Big Sis at DHS. No more ammo for the IRS. No more for the Weather and Oceanographic people! If they run through all the billions of rounds they’ve purchased before ammo can be found and affordably priced, let them learn archery!

We gun owners must pressure any ammunition manufacturer holding contracts with the federal government to make this their last! Fulfill the contract and then start filling the stockpiles of American citizens. Don’t let the federal government impose gun control by imposing bullet control with our tax dollars! Who’s with me?

A gun’s got to eat, don’t he?

I’m with you AWD! There is certainly more to why the government is buying such massive quantities of ammo than what they are telling us. I’m going to be contacting ammo companies and do as you suggested.

It really hurts my sensitive feelings. I’ve bought an AR, a .40 and a .45 in the last year. They’re all very hungry weapons, but if I feed them there won’t be anything left for next time.

Guns are worthless without ammo so they are buying it up till they can confiscate the guns they have… they wont get mine unless its hot and empty

  9. Absolutely with you AWD, Business dealing in the manufacture of weapons and ammo should be well aware that their very existence depends upon a free America exercising its 2nd Amendment Rights. Some sacrifice in revenue may be the cost of staying in business. I spend my dollars on businesses that have corporate policies that reflect mine.

  11. Get snap caps, practice dry firing, over and over and over and over. Do it with your non dominant hand. You fight like you practice. Interestingly 1st Seal Team 6 Dry Fired for a week before going hot. Then they shot more ammo than the entire Marine Corp did in the same time frame. I remember listening to their Commander talk about how important the Dry Fire was. There are some real good snap caps and lasers out there now to help.

  12. Government drying up ammo supplies by purchasing any available is a very plausable concept. Especially in light of the fact that Homeland security agency has pretty much a totally discretionary budget funded by our dollars. At twice the total amount that the U.S military has.
Last time in Walmart a clerk of the Amerika Korps type was asking me what I needed those 30.06 rounds for ( I was buying 2 boxes) I started to tell her but figured why buy trouble when enough is already on the way. So instead I stayed friendly and explained that this type round was for medium game like deer or since hunting season was over, wild hogs that are such a pest to the sweet potato crops. I definitly could see this little hater being one to be shill buying ammo for the bastards. Or maybe I’m just paranoid; probably need to be reeducated.

    Posted on March 11, 2013

The Democratic sponsor of a bill to ban concealed firearms on colleges in Colorado defeated his own proposal amid strong opposition from Republicans and gun rights advocates, while other measures will move ahead.
Boulder Sen. Rollie Heath on Friday moved to postpone the bill until after the Legislature adjourned for the year, a procedure that kills the bill.

  18. I think the shortage of ammo is caused by 2 things. Gov. buy up and ammo plants taking Christmas holidays off. I hope it starts to catch up because my trigger finger is getting bored.

    • Non of the smaller ammo manufacturers are processing .223. They can’t find primers, bullets or brass. The importers have no 556. There’s more than meets the eye going on here. And it’s not Santa. From what I’ve heard, and I manufacture gun parts, it’s not going to get any better.

Almost every decent sized country has a smallarms munition factory. Has anyone thought about getting foreign government arsenals to sell some of their mil-spec output to a private corporation so they could ship it here? I STILL can’t see why there should be shortage of 5.56 and 9mm ammo as this is STANDARD production in the western aligned counties. Ditto for 7.62x51mm used for GPMGs…

    (0)
    • I just can’t get .22LR and 9mm, everything else is available. .223 &.308 were available.

    • PMC is Korean made and my Armalite absolute loves it. It is as accurate as any I’ve shot and comes in the great 62 grain M855 steel core flavor. Burns clean too. On back order but on the way I believe.I stay away from steel cased though. The laquer they put on it can melt in a hot chamber and cool down into a superglue bond with the chamber making a very difficult problem.

      (0)
      • Joe Stalin says:

Did anyone see the cartoon movie “Rango?” It’s a movie supposedly in the Wild West but near the end, they show a round of ammo with “PMC” stamped on the back; cute joke by the animators!

        (0)
    • because the govt controls import/export of arms/ammo. they can also tie-up distribution of imports by keeping them on the docks via Customs redtape. unless there is Massive disobedience by commercial interests, we well may be f–ked. the mfg’s need to put one case of ammo “out the back door” for every one they log on the books and ship.
we need a cottage industry building “assault weapons” out of parts(which i believe the mow-rons didn’t put on the Ban list).

changing the subject, a pox on the dealers that have some ammo and are scalping it! $1000 for a case of 5.56??? hope these pricks burn in hell.

      (0)
  23. Totally agree AWD, strangle the government’s ability to oppress the people. Ironically, despite the 1.6 billion rounds of ammo purchased by federal agencies, I read today that the Commandant of the Marine Corps is calling upon the troops to conserve ammo, make every shot count.

While I understand why domestic ammo makers are having problems meaning demand, what’s with all the trillions of rounds of 9mm, AR and AK ammo stashed in foreign warehouses? Why aren’t they being imported? Especially now that prices are so high.

    Something foul is afoot here.

    (0)
    • Something very foul and vile has been up since 2008. The just not on radar comment meant more than people thought. A friend predicted an ammo shortage to me over a year ago, I kinda laughed. It was mentioned “O” was acting like an Octopus and I never though much about it. I’m afraid they were right on target. People don’t want to believe it could happen here. Note they are letting people get comfortable with the small sized pocket knives allowed on planes. Soon as in England they will suggest a size limit on ALL knives. There they have Chefs on the TV telling people you really don’t need big knives in a kitchen, paring knives will do fine. Its incrementalism, slowly turning the heat up on the frog.

      (0)
      • problem for the idiot-bastards is, turn up the heat on this froggy and he pulls out his flame-thrower; along with all the other froggy’s in the pond. *ribbit*

        (0)
  24. In Canada, Ontario at least, there is no ammo shortage. Prices are reasonable, and most calibers can be bought by the case. Recently the liberal-installed long gun registry was deleted, a $2 Billion fiasco. Hand guns are carefully controlled – carry not permitted and authorization needed for transport, gun club membership required. Exams are required for a license and the clubs provide training. Merchants record the ammo purchase(which also requires a license) but the merchant does not submit that to the government. The new restrictive laws were accompanied by the increase in illegal gun crimes.

    (0)
  25. Gunshop I use had a fair amount of ammo, except .22LR and 9 mm. $30 box 45’s. Had many AK’s and several M-4’s reasonable prices. Full range of pistols, lots of them. They said shortages are somewhat regional and many people had bought it by the case earlier. I think/hope manufacturers were caught off guard, especially the small ones. Federal took some big bids from the Govt, I wouldn’t look for anything from them for a bit. Even reloaders were caught off guard on supplies. Ruger had to not take any orders for some time as they weren’t ready for the Gun Salesman Of The Year to do his thing.

    • federal is owned by ATK inc…my former boss, before they lost the management contract at the arsenal i work at…
they also own a number of other sporting companies/brands.
since boycotting their ammo would be counter productive, i suggest, and urge you to boycott their other products…and to let them know why you are taking your sporting $$ elsewhere

      http://www.atk.com/business-groups/atk-sporting/

if you know any other manufacturers who have brands/products that can be boycotted to good effect, please let the rest of us know who they are..and spread the word

      (0)
  26. Joe Kennedy says:

I was with you right up until you said let them fulfill the current contract. 1.6 Billion rounds. Sorry, I prefer Congress to cut the funding of this contract. I also urge fellow shooters to use the same tactics that appear to work so well for the left, boycott. Tell, don’t ask manufacturers. Let them sell all to the government at negotiated reduced rates until the govt can’t buy any more. What happens next is the govt eventually must sell surplus. The manufactures will lose big time for their feigned loyalty to the govt and disregard for the independent shooter.

  27. Mr. Grumpus says:

I think Pointy has the right idea, and has mentioned it several times. We can’t really stop the .gov’s purchases of large amounts of ammo, but we sure need people to record and document where it is and who has access to it. Then we can at least know where to go for some rounds when that time comes.

    (0)
    • My thoughts exactly Mr Grumpus. Mindset makes a difference. Kinda’ like: Don’t think of it as being surrounded -think of it as being in a target rich environment. Likewise think of the 1.5 billion rounds as being purchased by and stored for the protection and use of the people of the United States of America against all enemies foreign and domestic..

      (0)
    • To find their Ammo Depots you will have to have someone working inside the organization as they are obviously way ahead of the citizens and have hidden it well in many places probably on Military bases, untouchable areas.

      (0)
      • Phil in Ohio says:

Internet rumor I heard was that the ammo is being stored in shipping containers. Like a Conex box. Someone I know was scoping the local DHS office for just such a container. When asked by the wife what he was doing, he said ‘just looking for my girlfriend’..

        (0)
      • what about the national guard armories? they must have some stash for the week-end warriors. be a helluvalot easier than “knocking on the door” of a regular army or marine depot.

        (0)
  28. Mr. Grumpus says:

I’m sure you’re correct Michael, but everything has a weakness. A good start I think would be to photograph car tags going in and out of the suspected depots. Then figure out who the people are. At least then we would know who to go talk to when we need to resupply. These nazi’s are just people like me and you, they also have families and possessions to protect. Make them known to the public, just like they did the gun owners in New York.

  29. Most people don’t realize how much ammo has been sold over the last few years.

At the gun shop that I frequent, ammo is back-ordered almost 2 years on many of the orders they have had placed with manufacturers.

Also, the amount of ammo being sold through just the Ma and Pa gun shops is staggering. To put it in perspective, only 2 years ago this local shop sold @$60,000 worth of ammo a week via the internet….Now it is doing 4 times that a week. This shop places orders with the ammo companies that total several million dollars per order at wholesale prices!

This is just one store! Think about all of the small stores nationwide and then add in your Walmarts and Cabellas……It kinda opens your eyes to how much ammo is in private stockpiles.

The sad fact is that if the “gubmint” really wants you, it won’t matter how much of an ammo cache you have….Remember the 2010 Census? My sources tell me that the feds have GPS co-ordinates on every front door in America…….(Please! Somebody tell me this isn’t true!)

  32. It doesnt matter how much ammo the feds stockpile. They realize that if shit hits the fan, there is no way even our military will stand a chance against millions of armed pissed off citizens. Armed civilians in this country are the largest standing army in the world. Just two states have more licensed hunters in numbers than our entire standing army in the military today! Just two states! Good luck to them trying to take on millions of mad mofo’s who are sick of the government taking away our freedom. They are scared shitless now as they realize that the antigun bullshit stepped over the line. All the floundering around the dims are doing makes it obvious that they are running scared. 34. kinda right, Rich, but consider this: 1)the Feds have awesome firepower at their disposal, esp. if the military gets involved(pray not). 2)they are organized and coordinated; will target the citizens one-by-one with overwhelming force. unless there is an organized grass-roots guerrilla force that will bleed them slowly, we won’t have a chance. only thing in the peoples’ favor is, as you mentioned, vastly greater numbers. unfortunately, most of us(even gunowners) don’t have the spine to stand-up. think about any group you’ve been in. there are usually just a few that do all the work or have any good ideas; the rest sit there like rotting turds and go along for the ride.

  37. Most here do not realize that the American people are at a distinct disadvantage when it comes to procuring the ammo for their guns. The largest ammunition manufacturing company in the US and the world for that matter is a company that wishes to remain unnoticed and obscure. Why? because they are part of something that the people of America cannot comprehend, the (Government Military Industrial Complex) is what they are part of and it is their intent to remain part of this complex come hell or high water, in fact if it becomes part of their survival to discontinue providing bullets to American people for their guns, they will at a moments notice shut off the supply completely. I am not naming any names, if you care, you may do your own investigation and find this out for yourself, in the meantime I suggest and recommend to American people who hold sporting arms, to continue buying and stocking up on ammo wherever you may be fortunate enough to locate it.
