At least we have one major voice out there speaking his mind about the Internal Revenue Service…hopefully others in power will follow the lead as time goes on. Dear Leader’s IRS scandal may end up being the pathway to finally getting rid of the IRS once and or all as time passes. Other congress-critters on Capitol Hill need to hear our voices loud and clear regarding this issue too.

Here’s a some of what Senator Ted Cruz had to say while he was speaking with Eric Bolling the other day…make sure and watch the full interview, there was much more to it than just the words below.

This is via Freedom’s Lighthouse:

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz in an interview with Fox News’ Eric Bolling says flatly, “We ought to abolish the IRS and move to a simple flat tax.” Cruz says Americans ought to be able to fill out their taxes on a one-page postcard, listing their income, and able to deduct charitable contributions and home mortgage interest. Period.

This is via SGT Report:

Ted Cruz warns that the IRS would misuse their powers in implementing Obamacare, and that the Obama administration was setting up the immigration reform package to fail in the House of Representatives. “It is a manifestation of too much power in the federal government,” the tea party legislator said of the IRS, proposing a flat tax instead. “When the federal government has that much power in our individual lives, it’s an invitation to be abused.”

This is via FN: Ted Cruz told Eric Bolling that it’s time to abolish the IRS and move to a flat tax. And when asked if he trusted the IRS to handle Obamacare, he said ‘not remotely’.

Watch below, it’s well worth the time! ~

The three examples above are short, sweet and right to the point…music to my ears, how ’bout yours?

Abolish the I.R.S? These rat bastards persecuted law abiding American citizens. As well as wasting millions in tax payer dollars having a good time. Not only should they abolish this jack booted den of thieves, they need to prosecute and jail them. These silly assed politicians want to, “make sure this doesn’t happen again”. How stupid are we really?

  3. Ted Cruz says:

the Obama administration was setting up the immigration reform package to fail in the House of Representatives

    I respond:

If Obama’s strategery is to see his amnesty bill fail in the House, and he runs around the country making a stink about it, it will 99.9999% guarantee the Republicans hold the House in 2014. Of course, the Congressional districts red-gerrymandered in 2011 for the decade of the 2010s pretty much guaranteed that anyway.

      • BT…

Rubio is simply another John McCain… sticks his finger in the air before he makes a decision. I’ve sent many e-mails to his office saying his hopeful run for Prez is over… can flush him down the toilet as far as I’m concerned.

          Paul…

Did you ever get response from the emails you’ve sent?

(We’re having major storms in our area so I’m just trying to catch up here and there real quick, didn’t see this earlier)

  4. BT,

As a small business owner (right now practically no business owner… thank you Obummer) it would be wonderful to figure total revenue at years end… then look at a chart for amount of taxes owed and send it in to government.

    • bigtimer says:

      Paul…

It would be nice indeed. A flat tax, at a rate that could never, ever be increased once the law is written is the way to go for me…but, I know full well we’re a long way from that happening anytime soon.

Cruz hasn’t been the only one speaking out about this recently, it’s just that he’s the one that brings the real attention lately. Other congress-critters a like-minded too…on the House especially, a few in the senate too.

      Hope springs eternal!

      • Just contacted Blunts office about abolishing IRS… employee said he would pass it on. Not sure it will ever happen though… that is a lot of leverage govt has over us and they damn well know it.

Btw… how refreshing is Cruz??? I think he got part of Boehner’s backbone along with his own.

        (0)
        • Boehner once had a backbone? That’s news to me.

BTW, we keep hearing from the EL CHEAPO labor lobby, or at least the “Republican” wing of it, that we have to pass amnesty to appeal to Hispanic voters. Well, a few weeks back, Breitbart had a story about Rubio’s polling numbers going south, and said that they’re dropping even among Hispanics.

          • countenance,

For me personally, no matter what Rubio does from here forward, he will do without my support.

Wow…as always you’re right on the ball. I’m hoping in my state we get a real conservative in come ’14 since Baucus is exiting the scene…finally! His poll numbers were sinking big time here. After ’14 we may get a real foot in the door to many things, especially this issue.

Put me on the Cruz bandwagon – from what I have seen, he may be the only man capable of bringing the conservative base out of their Rino-induced coma. He’s shown plenty of fire and brains, both of which are almost non-existent among most Republicans.

Abolish all of these phony tax burdens. We taxpayers are tired of our money being a cash cow for Washington.

    • bigtimer says:

Exactly! That’s why I fear we won’t get enough that supposedly serve we the people to support abolishing this monstrosity….they have too many paying lobbyists twisting their arms with their contributions for campaign money etc behind the scenes.

  9. The full might and fury of all Beltway Politicians will descend upon Cruz, to crush his body and spirit, before dragging him down into the nether regions of the Hell from which they sprang.

D.C. Politicos will not abide his blasphemous suggestion of a flat tax, he will be handed his hat, given his marching orders, and sent to Obscurity USA to hang out with Ron Paul and Herman Cain.

  11. Is there room for one more on the Cruz bandwagon?

Anyone who seriously speaks of abolishing the IRS has become public enemy number one in DC…. expect Obamas attack dogs ( the MSM ) to come after Sen Cruz with the full weight and support of the White House.. lies, slander, projections, ridicule.. the whole gambit of their Saul Alinsky tactics… its going to get ugly

    (0)
    • expect the RINO’s to rear their ugly traitorous heads too…

at least Sen Cruz knows not to trust the GOP establishment either… heck anyone with a pulse can see that they have been bought and paid for…

I would love to know what he thinks about term limits…

  12. We could do very nicely without the IRS, EPA, Dept. Of phony security, and a gaggle of other useless money pit government pork organizations created by Obongos job creation scheme. All it did was provide jobs to useless people who would otherwise be on welfare anyway because as we all know…most government workers cant find their ass with both hands! I love Cruz but with the idiots embedded in todays society, I dont see him going to the white house. He is too smart and too conservative for the libtard mentality thats infected this once great nation. As long as the moochers get their free shit…we will wind up with democrats forever.

  15. Chris H. says:

Maybe it’s just me, but I didn’t hear this guy propose any real solutions. All I heard was rhetoric about what’s wrong with the system now. I already KNOW what’s wrong. I want to know how you intend to fix it. Like I said, maybe it’s just me, but all I heard from this guy was the same old tired rhetoric of a professional politician. I do agree with what he said, but to be honest, he offered nothing that would change or fix it.

There is no way the IRS is going away, and I think he knows that. So it’s easy to say something that you know will never happen. It’s the “safe” way to campaign. No fear of ever being held accountable to accomplish something you know can’t happen. To me, that’s dishonest.

I believe, and this is just me talking, that the IRS Income tax is illegal to begin with. It’s a voluntary tax so how can you prosecute someone for not volunteering to pay? And second, the word INCOME, as defined by the IRS code means COPORATE PROFITS! My W-2 says Salary, Wages, and other Compensation with no mention that my paycheck is considered INCOME that can be taxed. That is of course, unless I “volunteer” to pay. But I don’t recommend you not “volunteer” to pay as we know what happens next.

My point is this, there will NEVER be any reform of the IRS! To reform it would require a constitutional investigation and validation of the legality of citizens paying Income Taxes. What a mess that would be. No one wants to disturb that house of cards, at least, no one in government.

This guy seems nice enough, and may be well intentioned, but being an old grumpy fart who has become somewhat cynical towards politicians, I didn’t hear anything from him that would motivate me to support him. IMHO.
