Unmitigated disaster is right! Why the prosecution decided to close with this clown during the Zimmerman trial is beyond me. One fact is for sure, it helped ensure they will lose any points they may have had going for them before he took the stand! Trust me, this guy’s performance would make anyone’s head spin…anyone with a brain that works that is.

This is a ‘Medical Examiner’ who couldn’t remember anything much of the time. He brought notes to read from during his testimony which is also unheard of, much was made of that too. The defense requested copies of them during the back and forth and they got them, of course Mr. Bao didn’t like that one little bit. He changed his initial reports many times during the testimony…and he couldn’t remember the conversation he had with the lead prosecutor the day before he testified, imagine that! I could go on and on but won’t…needless to say it was a three ring circus!

What took place was more than aggravating to say the least, the only witness that surpassed him when it came to being ‘Stuck on Stupid‘ was Rachel Jeantel…and that’s not saying much for Mr. Bao, especially when he’s the head of two major offices, one being Florida, the other Texas.

Here’s a summary of what happened when it comes to others opinions. Keep in mind, many of these people commenting aren’t exactly what you’d call right-wing types. – This is via OS:

Thank goodness for the legal analysts. They do help us make it through the high-profile trials by explaining court procedure, analyzing the lawyers’ strategies and assessing the witnesses’ performances.

At the George Zimmerman trial, the most controversial witness may have been medical examiner Shiping Bao. His first round of reviews Friday were terrible; the second round may have been even worse. Bao got worse reviews than “The Lone Ranger,” a box-office bomb for Disney.

Larry Kobilinsky, a forensic scientist, told CNN that Bao was “an unmitigated disaster for the prosecution. To end with Dr. Bao, it couldn’t be worse.”

Kobilinsky dismissed Bao as “amateurish” and said the medical examiner lost credibility with every cross-examination question.

Steve Raiser, a criminal defense attorney, told Fox News Channel that Bao’s testimony was “quite frankly terrible” because Bao couldn’t remember Trayvon Martin’s autopsy. But Raiser noted that Bao’s testimony that the bullet went straight through Trayvon’s heart undermined the defense argument there was a struggle for the weapon.

Orlando attorney Mark NeJame, a legal analyst for CNN, said the state ran “a beautiful, organized trial as it relates to telling a story,” but with Bao “it all unraveled.”

CNN’s Jean Casarez said she had never seen anything like Bao’s testimony in a courtroom.

WOFL-Channel 35 legal analyst Diana Tennis seconded that view. “He was off the charts,” she told Keith Landry on “Orlando Matters.” “This guy really cost the state a lot. To be the last witness — just not good.” Tennis was astonished that Bao didn’t understand court protocol and looked biased in favor of the state.

Turning prognosticator, Tennis predicted there won’t be a hung jury because the six-member jury has bonded. She also suggested deliberations could go 90 minutes to four hours.

“There’s only six of them,” Tennis. “And you’re going around the room, and nobody needs to be careful of the other persons’ feelings. That’s what living together in sequestration does.”

One other major topic about his testimony was when he changed how long he thought Trayvon Martin was alive after he was shot, his initial report had been he may have lived 1-3 minutes. He changed that yesterday three fold, he stated he believed Trayvon was alive for up to ten minutes after the shot to part of his lung and heart. You can read more about that here. His testimony proved his bias for the prosecution, how he keeps his job is anyone’s guess…but I’m quite sure Angela Corey is proud as heck of him!

Job well done…for the defense!

  1. When the trial went for a 10 minute potty break, someone left the sound on!!! The women around this “open mike” all started talking about this trial and who they thought made points and who they thought was losing!!!!
This went on for 20 minutes.
WOW, what chatter! Wonder if this screw-up makes the “news”???

  2. BT, you of all people should know the first qualification on being a liberal is you must first and foremost be “”incompetent””……..

he couldn’t get the job in the first place if he didn’t first show he was incompetent…….nothing is more important to the left-tard movement than bing incompetent……it is their battle cry……their mantra………

    • Look folks it’s easy to understand.

When a Chinese herb doctor crosses the International dateline he is automatically awarded a Doctorate and a Medical Degree. This guy could have been a plastic surgeon but he went to work for the state Medical Examiners office instead because he cares about the children.

Besides where do you think all the doctors will come from to staff those free Obama care clinics.

This is just the tip of the iceberg there is much more incompetence below the surface.

Right you are in every respect you are speaking of. It’s spooky anymore when it comes to what’s going to happen via our medical care. My oncologist already retired because of OCare etc…it’s a disaster everywhere, and we ain’t seen nothing yet.

    • Not only is this moron a libtard..hes a minority libtard. No doubt he got his degrees on the taxpayers dime through all the special programs we have to put the well being of foreigners ahead of our own American citizens. Our tax dollars pay for scum like this to come here, get a free education and then become ultra leftist pieces of shit like this moron. Just one more way the demo-rats buy votes.

      Howdy Magnum…

Didn’t he make ya want to go through the screen and slap that grin off of his lying face? He was something else. Like I stated, Rachel Jeantel was the only other witness that was close to being as maddening as he was!

  4. It’s really difficult to believe that this guy is in a position of authority. Obviously, he has a job where he might be asked to testify in court about his work… or people that work for him might need to testify. This guy had no idea how court rooms work; knew nothing of courtroom procedure. You would think that prior to this time where he has to step onto the witness stand, someone would have made him take some courses on how all this stuff works. He made himself look totally foolish and incompetent. My guess is that looking foolish and incompetent comes naturally to this guy.

    • bigtimer says:

      T JMaxx…

Oh no, this guy had plenty of courtroom experience, he’s been a paid professional from reports I heard yesterday…and it’s like, you have got to be kidding me when I heard that!

So, it became obvious to me, that he was working for the prosecution and really flubbed it up for them. Heck, he met with the head prosecutor that questioned him in his office the day before his testimony and claimed he couldn’t remember it! – Can you believe that?!

Nope, no bias here…no agenda at all!

      • Mr. Rational says:

The alternative view is that the prosecution and almost all the government-employed witnesses think it’s a show trial and are trying their best to throw the case.

It would be really nice if people were civic-minded enough to stand behind the guy who was just defending himself against a violent criminal, even if only passive-aggressively.

    • Polk8dot says:

There obviously is a REASON that he – according to his own claim – does AT LEAST 3000 autopsies a year, yet this was only his 30th trial he testified in.
Wouldn’t you think that being the M.E. for a region encompassing several counties, he’d come across many homicides and would be required to render his opinion in court much more often? But shockingly, in all his life and career as an M.E. he managed to get called to testify for less than 1% of his ‘average annual’ cases!
It is clear that his incompetence must be legendary, and most likely his underlings are being called to sub for him in court. I bet the state of FL only trots him out for SPECIAL purposes, when total bias, lying through your teeth, and overall being a stuck-up, underhanded, offensive little prick are called for. Every idiot has his/her purpose, and apparently FL found his.
I just wander how many defense attorneys not related to this case watched his performance, and decided to file complaints and case dismissal motions on the spot, based purely on his involvement in their cases.
His superiority complex shone through so brightly when he talked about his lab/office staff in the most unappreciative, unprofessional and dismissive manner, and even tried to treat the defense attorneys and the judge the same way. But when he talked directly to the jury, in his ‘professorial voice’, dripping with condescension, I ended up giving myself a serious case of ‘eye-roll fatigue’.
He must be a total dick to work with/for.

    • First of all no ‘foreigner’ gets to go to medical school for free with taxpayer dollars in the US. Every single individual takes out HUGE private loans (nearly 275,000 dollars) with very high interest rates.
Second when these foreigners graduate they typically earn a six figure salary of which they pay more than 33 percent in taxes. If you do the math that comes to anywhere between $33,000 to $60,000 just in taxes a year to pay for your unemployment and fake disabilities
No one stopped American students from applying to Med school or any professional program for that matter. It is not as if their seats were snatched from them and handed over to a foreigner. The problem is that most Americans are high school drop outs, if that and are happy playing video games and eating big macs. Can’t blame the liberal govt or the foreigners for that

  8. This Medical Examiner made changes of opinion on two points that were very important.

    1) the 6 foot tall innocent child’s marijuana (THC) level was high enough to effect his judgment. This is what Zimmerman told the dispatcher during his phone call i.e. “it looks like he is on drugs”, and

    2) that the 6 foot tall innocent child could have lived for up to ten minutes after being shot. This confirms that Zimmerman could have spread the perp’s arms out after the perp was shot (as ZM has stated that he did) but the arms were under the body when photographed.

The prosecution in this case appears just to be going through the motions. They have put on very weak witnesses and evidence because that is the only material that they have to work with. The prosecution was obliged to have this trial but they know that Zimmerman did everything legally. I believe that the federal government wants to discourage any non-black man from defending himself.

    • Polk8dot says:

      Re: your 2nd point.
I thought that it was miraculous that he managed to change the testimony from 1-3 min to 1-10 min, clearly to accommodate the prosecution and insert the ‘he suffered, he was in pain all these 10 min’. Logically you’d think that WOULD be great for the defense, as you explained about the hands underneath point. But this magician of medical arts managed to simultaneously declare that due to the puncture of the lung, TM was COMPLETELY UNABLE TO SPEAK OR MOVE for all that time, pretty much calling him ‘as if paralyzed’, and therefore trying to discredit every statement GZ made about the shooting’s aftermath.

Incredible how the Will will always find the Way. I can’t even explain how ridiculous this statement sounds to me, on purely medical and physiological grounds, but it should be used by defense in closing to highlight his unbelievable bias and willingness to bend any truth to whatever prosecution theory he needed to support.
It was asinine what he said, and pathetically obvious in its purpose, and yet it made me sick, to realize how easy it was for him to spew bullshit like that, without any accountability, without any proof, and how little it mattered to him that he may be destroying someone’s (GZ’s) life with his fables hiding behind his medical degree and official title.

(My teeth grated each time he said ‘It is MY OPINION'; he kept explaining to the defense lawyer, as if he thought his own grasp of the law was better and the dumb lawyer needed to be enlightened, *eye-roll* )

      (0)
    • Well this is one white man who will not be cowed by the government or anyone else not to defend myself. I’m sorry but my own survival is rather important to me. Tough shit if the libtards or the government doesn’t like it.

  10. Here is a quote from the July 5th Wall Street Journal on the increase in conceal carry permits in the country. It looks as though there may be a policy of convicting gun owners of murder.

“The Violence Policy Center, a nonprofit group that advocates for gun control, said that since 2007, concealed-carry permit holders have fatally shot about 500 people, that 128 of them have been convicted of manslaughter or homicide”

      • Joe,

Thank you for the link. If the number of individuals who were classified as concealed carry permits holders were, in reality, not permit holders, then I feel that maybe there is not a deliberate prosecution of permit holders. This was the cause of my original concern of deliberate prosecution directed toward concealed carry permit holders.

    • Who cares what a libtard rag says about CCW holders? The media is so tainted in this country that I don’t trust any of them, not even Fox. They all suck! Every major media outlet in this country is contaminated by leftist liberal turds. The only way to find out whats really going on is to read all the leftist tripe and sort through all the bullshit and draw your own conclusions because the media goes out of its way to suppress the truth.

      george…

Have you been following any of the trial so far? Do you think it’s been fair or not? – Just curious…nothing more.

      (0)
      • Polk8dot says:

BT, this trial is so obviously UNFAIR, the examples of it are too numerous to list. Let me just give one then:
Each time the prosecutions asks some witness to speculate, to their advantage of course, or the witness does it on his/her own (e.g. Bao and Sybrina), there is an objection from the defense. EACH SINGLE TIME it is overruled, and the answer allowed to stand, even though it is clearly totally speculative and most of the time, completely out there.
The moment the defense gets a shot at the same witness, and attempts to elicit an opposing speculation, with questions almost or exactly the same, the prosecution objects on the same grounds.
Yet EACH SINGLE TIME the judge sustains the prosecution’s objection, and the witness is not allowed to answer.
This is ridiculous. Hypotheticals are part and parcel of good cross examination, and the judge’s sustained effort to have the defense limited to factually based answers only, while the state is allowed to roam free in the realm of fantasy, is biased, prejudiced and clearly an immediate basis for appeal in there is a conviction.
This man never had a chance for a fair trial, not in this country in this day and age, when reverse discrimination has become so intertwined with the fabric of daily life, most people do not even notice it anymore. The worst ills of a society are rooted in willful blindness, intentional disregard of fairness and truth, and conscious suspense of disbelief, and these are allowed to have a free reign in the GZ courtroom.

  13. Bob Smith says:

But Raiser noted that Bao’s testimony that the bullet went straight through Trayvon’s heart undermined the defense argument there was a struggle for the weapon.

That’s nonsense. Does a struggle armor the heart against bullets?

Also note the autopsy’s measure of Martin’s height. He’s clearly over 6 ft tall, yet the autopsy has him at 5’11”. What did Bao do, measure him with bent legs? Chop his feet off? Somebody is fibbing to make Zimmerman look guilty.

    (0)
  14. You all know how outspoken I am, but I could not get a sense of whether Bao was competent or incompetent from the video… I know BT has watched the trial daily, so I’ll just have to go with her assessment for now.

Verdict should be coming down the pike by late next week… make sure your hardware is clean and loaded… that would include a bullet in the chamber and the safety off Mr. Savage.

    • My AR is at the ready. Loaded magazines and all. So is the 12 gauge Mossy, and a gaggle of assorted hand guns. If the hoodrats want problems around here…bring it. I think regardless of verdict some will riot just as an excuse to loot some free bling. I may get to find out firsthand what a .44 magnum will do to a hoodrat after all. I have some wonderful 240 grain black bear loads for it. How appropriate.

  16. The local DA did not indict because there was no case for murder beyond a reasonable doubt. The special prosector also has no case. We will never know what happened that night, and certainly not beyond a reasonable doubt. This is a political trial intended to calm racial tensions (!). The only way to calm racial tensions now is to send a presumptively innocent man to jail. Otherwise, we’ll have another Rodney King.

I’m admittedly often a “left-tard” as some here so eloquently put it, but in this case I agree with the vast majority of you informed and entertaining folks…especially Polk8dot. That judge! The hypocrisy! The blatant untruths! The moronic N.E.r.d.. An upward transversing shot, going somewhat side to side, say from a man shooting with his right hand to a man sitting on his chest might well shoot in a way that goes through the heart and takes out a piece if a lung as well.
