Blood Moons and Biblical Prophecies:

end_times

Since it’s Sunday: Friends, like many of you, I’ve heard and read about end times coming since I can remember. Just for the heck of it, I thought I’d post a piece I read earlier today over morning coffee to see what your opinions are about this subject just out of curiosity. After-all, there is much to chew on and ponder about regarding this matter when it comes to the state our world is in now…specifically our nation with Dear Leader at the helm.

You may, or may not care one iota. Some of you might think this is nothing but gibberish, some of you may take it very seriously. Either way, see what your opinion is of the report below and share your thoughts. You can read this in full here, there are links inside you may want to check out as well:

Pastor Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries, whose coming “Blood Moons” book and documentary describes what he views as a sign in the heavens, will be on the podium for the Prophecy in the News conference in Orlando March 28-30.

So will Rabbi Jonathan Cahn, whose prophecy-related book “Harbinger” kicked aside most competition on the New York Times bestsellers list for nearly two years.

Dozens of other top Christian speakers also will be there.

Bob Ulrich, a spokesman for the ministry organizing the event, says Biltz’s work about the “Blood Moons” has “brought everything to the forefront.”

“Things have us looking for a false peace [in the Middle East]. They have us looking for a major, major conflict in the Middle East, maybe between Israel and their neighbors,” he told WND.

“We’re looking at this strong leader in Russia, a weak leader in America, a once-in-a-lifetime leader in Israel, the situation in Iran,” he continued. “It’s hard not to look at all the pieces and jump to a conclusion we’re very close … to seeing war.”

Ulrich said he’s watching the Middle East “very, very carefully, and closely.”

“We now see the vise that is being set up for Israel, which is surrounded by enemies,” he said. “The world is turning against them. And one friend, the U.S., no longer [is by their side].”

The “Blood Moons” phenomenon is a series of four eclipses that will occur this year on two Jewish holy days and again next year on the same Jewish holy days.

The last time the same sequence happened was in 1967 and 1968, when Israel recaptured Jerusalem in the Six-Day War. Before that, it was in the 1940s, when Israel was born.

It didn’t happen in the 1800s, not in the 1700s. Not even in the 1600s.

It did occur in the 1400s, in 1493 and 1494, when the Jews were expelled from Spain.

“Four total lunar eclipses happening the next two years herald possible war in the Middle East as well as global economic collapse,” Biltz told WND.

He says historically, this sequence of solar eclipses has been a sign, foretelling important events such as the destruction of the Temple of Jerusalem.

“Two happened right in a row at the time of destruction of the temple in 70 A.D. and on feast days,” he said.

Pastor John Hagee agrees that something is looming.

He was invited by Fox News to discuss the significance of four eclipses that will take place in 2015 on the Jewish Passovers, April 4 and April 15, and the Feasts of Tabernacles, Sept. 28 and Oct. 8.

In his new book, “Four Blood Moons: Something is About to Change,” he confirms that significant events relating to the Jewish nation have happened each time the eclipses line up.

“This is something that just is beyond coincidental,” Hagee told Fox News.

In the Old Testament, the prophet Joel states: “The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the LORD come.” (Joel 2:31)

In the New Testament, Jesus is quoted as saying: “Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light. … And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.” (Matthew 24:29-30)

Acts 2 states: “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth, blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and terrible day of the Lord comes.”

Watch Biltz explain his findings:

Also speaking is Cahn, whose “Harbinger” and accompanying documentary “Isaiah 9:10 Judgment” show how the same judgments of God recorded in the Old Testament appear to be happening in America today.

Is what’s going on now that surrounds us an omen or not? Or is this much ado about nothing?

  2. Identifying myself as Christian I submit this http://www.biblegateway.com/pa.....ersion=NIV

    Particular emphasis here:

    The Day and Hour Unknown

36 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,[f] but only the Father. 37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; 39 and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding with a hand mill; one will be taken and the other left.

42 “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. 43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him.

While I believe we are approaching “the time” of the end of times I don’t think we’re quite at the point ….. that being said, Jesus did say that ONLY the Father knows, so I take that into consideration…..all I can say for sure is Be Ready, and Be Prepared

    • One would think with all the monies the Catholic Church has they could make some real headway into fixing their pedophile priest problem. It might cost them some high ranking officials but right now they are about as trustworthy and moral as our Congress.

  4. Biggie,
You sure picked a complicated subject, gal! The short answer is yes, I think we’re in the End Times, but there’s considerably more to the picture than meets the eye. I highly recommend this website: http://gracethrufaith.com/ and also Clarence Larkin’s book on “The Revelation.” I personally think the Blood Moons are something to take a serious look at, but I have problems with “The Harbinger.” Just my opinion, of course.

    • Howdy sis, I know I did. I debated on and off many hours of the day whether to post it or not…knowing full well most folks aren’t that interested in this subject…glad you are.

I’m taking a quick break from doing other other things at home at the moment, but look forward to checking out your link. – Be back in a bit.

Biggie, bad jokes aside, I am not sure. I know this. I am ready for the end. I am at peace with God and I have prayed for forgiveness for any bad things I have done throughout my life.

I also believe, on the physical side, that natural occurrences of our earth have happened with devastating effects in the past and there is no reason to think they will not happen again. e.g. , Yellowstone, Mt St. Helens explosions. When Krakatoa blew they had a few years of no summer with extreme food shortages.

Each person must decide for himself if it is God’s hand that caused it or if He has allowed nature to take its course.

As for me, I am surprised with all the evil I see in the world, that He has not brought End Days down on us already.

That is to say, their belief in the promises of the post-modern deluder (Barack Hugochavez Obutthole), as opposed to the reality presented to them by their senses. Or something on that order.

  7. I don’t know if the end times are really here…………

I have been hearing the end times were here for the past 35 years….and nothing has happened yet…….there seems to be a fatuation with the “end times” at the end of every millenium and at the end of every century……….the cries of the “end times” are here has been going on for some time and I wonder if they aren’t just that…..the cries of the foolish……although I have known people who I would never call foolish and have a great deal of respect for that have taught the end is here…take heed and prepare…………

guess I will be one of the one’s who goes along like this is just another day and when it happens, if it’s ever going to happen….I will deal with it like everyone else……………not a damn thing I can do about it………

          • Big……… the theatrics is getting so predictable that you can see it even before anything happens……….if the American electorate falls for this kind of crap they deserve a communist government that will continually lie to them, steal every dime they make, and force them into servitude………..

Wasserman”butter-hair” Schultz is just another one that intentionally attempts to deceive the electorate……….everything they say is a lie……everything they do is an attempt to confuse, steal, or deceive…….butter-hair is another one that I can’t stand listening to…..the sound of her voice makes my skin crawl…………….

  12. The “end” has been “near” for a long long time. The Millerites in the 1800’s, the precursors to the
current Seventh Day Adventist Church thought the end was coming…they were wrong. Numerous other religious, pseudoreligious and cultist groups have all declared the immenent end of the world
over the years and all have been wrong.

So what we need to do is define the “end”. The actual literal end to earth as we know it is so remotely unlikely as to be irrelevant. The odds of a massive catastrophe such as an asteroid strike are small but not zero, the earth will go on but life for the most part gets hit by the reset button.

The “end” of modern society and a return to tribalism/feudalism is certainly possible and if the
current conditions continue could happen soon….or not, nobody knows.

All one can say with certainty is that change is coming……and for most people that change is probably going to be for the worse.

  15. I’m waiting to be caught up, seriously. I believe in a pre-Tribulation “rapture” if you want to call it that.

But yeah, it’s safe to say we’re in THE last days. Big Brother is watching you.

1 Thessalonians 5:3 (KJV) For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape.

I wonder if the “safety” has to do with Big Brother. Or the nanny state, or both of the above.

If you’re left behind, start stocking up. Because it’ll get a LOT worse. And don’t believe the talking heads on the idiot box.

IDK when death will take me and can only strive to be ready when it overtakes me. (Stonewall Jackson) IDK if this is the end times but I feel it might be. I don’t deserve to be saved but pray that I might through Jesus be spared. Is it a forelorn hope?

    • patthemick, I hope this helps…..I wrote this a number of years back for an Easter Sunday lesson for Sunday School….

      Celebrate The Resurrection

Leading up to the crucifixion, we see the myriad feelings of Jesus’ disciples. The angst of knowing that one of them would betray Him; the certain fear that they too could die, perhaps the knowledge that Jesus WAS who He claimed to be, and their association with Him could bring social ridicule and rebuke.

Judas was not the only betrayer of Jesus; before the rooster had crowed three times, Peter had denied Jesus three times. The difference was that Peter immediately was overcome with remorse and repented, whereas Judas tried everything but repentance and as a result hung himself in guilt.

At the crucifixion, we have Jesus, already beaten to the point of death, numbed beyond description to His surroundings, but still aware of His fate. His body has been shredded by the whips used during His beatings, flesh ripped from bone, skin dangling from His body, lesions forming where the whips only grazed His flesh. Take into account that He perspired into these wounds which aggravated the pain.

On the cross Jesus hangs in utter and total humiliation, having been stripped of His clothing and His humanity. He has become for us, the sacrificial Lamb so often mentioned by the ancient prophets. In these hours an unrepentant thief hangs to one side; the best he can do is mock Jesus just as so many others are doing. On the other side hangs another who tries to diffuse the mockery and who also realizes just Who it is between himself and the other thief. He asks Jesus to remember him when He enters His kingdom, and the promise from Jesus was that they would meet again that very day in paradise.

On the cross hangs the Innocent One, the Messiah, the King of Kings, Immanuel. On Him GOD has placed the payment for all our sins. On Him God has rested His pent up anger at man’s refusal to obey HIM. On Jesus GOD has placed the unbearable pain of knowing that what He is doing will be callously disregarded by many. On Jesus lies the future of earth AND Heaven, as many will believe and be saved. On Jesus hangs the guilt of all men; He will be crushed to death by the weight of the sins of mankind and the wrath of His Heavenly Father. His Father will agonizingly turn HIS face from HIS Son as He becomes sin for our sake; God will NEVER turn HIS face on a repentant believer!

Three days later, Mary has gone to Jesus’ tomb to anoint His body, only to find the stone has been rolled from the entrance. Panic stirs her to tears as she asks two strangers what they have done with Him. The two, angels, comfort Mary and ask her why she would be looking for the living among the dead. She looks over her shoulder and sees someone standing behind her but fails to recognize Him. He asks her why she’s crying and who is it she is looking for. Thinking the man was the caretaker, Mary asks him where he has put the body so she can go and get it. Jesus said “Mary”. She turns to embrace Him, but Jesus tells her not cling to Him. Mary races back to the disciples to tell them the good news, but instead of receiving (hearing) the news, they meet her with skepticism and disdain. She insists until John and Peter go to see for themselves this unbelievable story. As Mary had told them, they found the tomb empty, with only the burial shroud remaining. Jesus was (IS) alive.

How do we as twenty-first-century Christians accept the resurrection? Oh, it’s nice to think that He died and rose from the dead, but how do we really feel about it? Do we treat God and Jesus as an entity out yonder remotely controlling our destiny, or do look upon the risen Christ as a real person, One with whom we can communicate our feelings, our needs, our desires? More often than not, we treat Jesus as a standoffish being who only takes casual interest in our welfare, and many of our lives reflect that feeling. Today brings with it an opportunity to experience the risen Christ as a REAL person, who at your request will abide (live) with you. He craves to hear the sincere yearnings of your heart as well as the deepest joys of your soul. He longs to be involved in the day-to-day events which seem to wear you down. He loves being your confidant when things don’t appear to be going well. He covets the opportunity to heal your broken spirit and revitalize you with the elixir of hope and peace. How does this happen? Daily, continuous prayer, prayer defined as “talking with” (not talking to). Talking with Jesus implies listening for and hearing an answer, whereas talking to implies nothing but “demands of”. We really need to get it right if we are going to experience and celebrate Christ’s resurrection.
