Sarah Palin keeps saying she wants more women to run for higher office? This isn’t new, she’s been doing it for a while. My question is “why?”
Is Palin’s calls for more elected women any different from libs who cried America needs a black President? Does the competency of women candidates enter in to Sarah’s equation or are they worthy of office because they have breasts and female tingly parts? Here’s what she said recently about Hillary Clintoon running for POTUS in 2016:
“I would like to see women run for the higher office. I think America certainly is ready for more female candidates at that upper echelon.”
Well, isn’t Hillary a woman, right? Kind of? So does the fact that Hillary has female genitalia (I just threw up in my mouth writing and thinking about that) qualify her for President in Sarah’s sexist world? Would the same apply for Nancy Pelosi? Barbara Boxer? Sheila Jackson Lee?
Personally, AWD hopes Hillary doesn’t run because she would be just the lates disaster zone President for America! Hasn’t she done enough damage as a Senator and Secretary of State?
There are women who are already elected to higher office. This isn’t new. Some are good, some bad. Some awful. AWD would readily vote for a woman IF SHE IS THE BEST QUALIFIED CANDIDATE! Just as I would vote for a black man or a Chinese or a, forgive me Granddaddy, a Yankee if they were the best caniddate for the job. Do qualifications play a part in Sarah’s woman-loving world? If she’s encouraging Hillary to run in 2016, apparently not!
It’s stupid statements like this that make Sarah look like an idjit. Sure, the Sarah Is Savior mouth-breathers will follow Sarah no matter how many stupid things she says. Don’t get me wrong, I generally like Palin and believe she plays a major part in pissing off liberals. But stupid statements like this get on AWD’s last nerve!
What if Ted Cruz were to say:
“We need more men in office! After Hillary Clinton, Condi Rice, every female Democrat, Olympia Snowe, Lisa Murkowski, Susan Collins, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, John McCain, Lindsay Graham, etc, in high places, heaven knows we can’t entrust the future of America in the hands of women! We need men, real men!”
My guess is Sarah Palin would be the first to call for Ted’s head!
If Palin wants to gain broader acceptance with conservatives, she must avoid the politically correct pitfalls that befall too many so-called conservative women. Just last week, Condoleezza Rice was calling for banning the word “bossy” when describing females. Condoleezza Rice is as much a conservative as Colin Powell. That’s to say, she’s a Democrat!
Is Palin’s call for more women in office merely because they’re women any different from AWD calling on Palin to get herself in the kitchen and bake me a pie? Palin a real conservative? My big ol’ butt! But hey, get ready to tune into her latest TV show and buy her book du jour!
