Holder to Gohmert: “You don’t want to go there, buddy.”
The first attorney general to ever be held in ‘Contempt of Congress‘ since our nation’s beginning, displayed just why that happened again today. The audacity of this man is beyond belief…then again, so is his boss…but that’s another story.
Congressman Louie Gohmert had a back and forth with Holder today, so did a few others…which will be posted in links later. By the way, keep in mind Gohmert happens to be a former judge as well. Plus, Gohmert never minces words, he’s always been one of my favorite congress-critters for a long time now.
To cut to the chase, here’s one of many reports about this issue:
An irked Eric Holder didn’t take too kindly to Representative Louie Gohmert’s mention of the House’s holding him in contempt two years ago.
“You don’t want to go there, buddy,” Holder said during Tuesday’s House Judiciary Committee hearing, after the Texas Republican claimed the 2012 contempt vote was “not a big deal to our attorney general.”
“You should not assume that that is not a big deal to me,” he continued. “I think that it was inappropriate and it was unjust, but never think that was not a big deal to me, don’t ever think that.”
Gohmert fired back that he has seen little evidence to the contrary, because the Justice Department has still failed to provide the requested documents over which its chief was held in contempt. The documents pertained to the DOJ’s Operation Fast and Furious gun-running operation; Holder contended that the contempt vote was “all about the gun lobby.”
Now, check these reports out…both have video with them, both are well worth taking a minute or two to read. Congressman Steve King really lays it all out in the first link. He mentions the disregard Holder has had for the voter intimidation via the New Black Panthers, as well as the Knock-Out Game, etc. – Then Blake Farenthol puts everrthing it in a nutshell in the second link:
So, Holder thinks being held in contempt of congress was inappropriate and unjust…does that not speak volumes about this soulless entity? Then to top it off, he blames it all on the big bad gun lobby. His audacity is unbelievable…maybe he should try telling that to those loved Brian Terry that…eh?
As far as I’m concerned, both he and his side-kick boss should have been impeached by now…then again, we know that will never happen with the gutless-wonders we have in charge of the House. All of this is past sickening…what say you?
