ABC ponders world without men as better place

ABC reporter Nick Watt on Monday imagined the world as a better place without men, who he jokingly dismissed as war-hungry criminals only good for making pop music. The segment, which aired on “Nightline,” featured the views of an Oxford professor, Bryan Sykes, who believes that the Y chromosome will disappear in about 125,000 years.
Apparently not seeing a downside, Watt mused, “But would the absence of men make the world a better place? There would be far fewer wars without men on the planet. The U.S. prison population would drop a colossal 97 percent. Road deaths in the U.S. would fall 70 percent.” The ABC journalist flippantly discussed the subject in a way that would never be done if the professor had longed for a world without woman. At one point, Mr. Sykes derided, “To be frank, we’re not really all that necessary.” Watt helpfully added, “Our only hope, that women decide to keep us alive for their own amusement. For the pop music, perhaps.” Can anyone imagine a mainstream journalist joking about keeping women around for the entertainment of men?
No wonder the Main Stream Media keeps losing viewers.
Newsbusters.org discusses male-bashing advertisements
Man-bashing Advertisements Don’t Make Business Sense
By Matthew Sheffield | April 22, 2008 – 18:48 ET
Anti-male sexism in popular mediaIn today’s left-dominated media world, political correctness rules the roost, especially when it comes to the so-called “gender wars.” Why there must be any in the first place isn’t ever answered but suffice it to say, the elite American press is decidedly anti-male.
It isn’t just the news and entertainment media that caters to man-bashing, either. Advertisers are very much to blame for this as well as Glenn Sacks and Richard Smaglick write in Advertising Age:
The evidence is clear: “Man as idiot” isn’t going over very well these days.
Defenders of the advertising status quo generally put forth the following arguments: Males are “privileged” and “it’s men’s turn,” so it’s OK to portray them this way, and that men simply don’t care how they’re portrayed. Both of these arguments are highly questionable.
La Quinta Hotels New Cross-dressing White Guy Idiot Commercial
La Quinta has now gone down the way of others with their new “stupid white guy in womens clothing” commercial. It seems poor “Wilson” has had his luggage lost and must share clothing with a female associate. Now I’m sure that there are plenty of guys who enjoy this type of clothing choice, but they are mostly voting for Hitlery or Balack Osama!
I imagine that a large part of La Quinta’s customers are businessmen. Congrats to La Quinta for insulting a large part of your clientele.
Verizon’s Stupid Dad Commercial
I don’t know why it has become so popular with companies to make the dad look like a complete imbecile in their marketing. Here is another in the genre of the smart-ass kid and the condescending wife treating the white dad like dirt. I guess it’s this illustration of the American man and father why we no longer have many men in the US. We have instead “metrosexuals,” which to me is another word for “homosexuals.” It is why we have business and political leaders who cringe in fear of being called “sexist,” or worse, “racist” when they need to speak the obvious.
I didn’t dare treat my dad like this. And is wasn’t out of fear. It was out of respect and love for what he was to our family. I believe that it is impossible to love someone you don’t respect. When our children are brought up watching years of crap like this Verizon spot, what type of lessons are to be learned? After years of being exposed to “girl power” and written and subliminal messages disparaging men, what lessons are taught our young boys and men?
I know one thing, Verizon will never get one cent of this white male’s money.
The Revrum Jeremiah Wright
The Angry White Dude is fed up with political correctness. When will white America quit pretending that blacks don’t hate white people? If this guy was white, he would be in the bottom of some jail. But blacks in America are falling all over themselves talking about how whites don’t understand the “black experience.” I understand that as a white man I have to work, keep the laws and take care of my children to be a responsible member of society. I suggest more blacks “experience” that and quit listening to race baiters such as this idiot.
Cub Cadet Lebron James commercial
Here is another example of the stupid white guy being made a fool by the cool black athlete. Guess which white male won’t be buying a Cub Cadet lawnmower this season?
