THE DALLAS TEA PARTY A HUGE SUCCESS—LISTENING DC???
Yesterday, over 300 patriots gathered in downtown Dallas at the Victory Plaza to protest the socialist direction of the new administration, taxation with deliberation and a ever growing federal government. The message of the day was “Repeal or Retire.” We do not support the obscene spending that the stimulus plan burdens our grandchildren (which I don’t even have yet) with. The Dallas Tea Party coincided with tea parties in over 50 cities across the country. The Angry White Dude was proudly in attendance. The event was organized in only 4 days and the turnout surpassed expectations! There are a lot of angry Americans right now…and they are only getting angrier.
The AWD has never attended a protest in my entire life until yesterday. Neither had over 90 percent of the protesters yesterday. And that same 90% had to take vacation to attend. Yesterday’s protest was what I believe will be a series of protests culminating in a march on Washington by millions later this year. I encourage EVERY reader to get involved. I will keep everyone aware of the upcoming protests taking place. Many readers here have said that they are ready and willing to take to the streets. The time has come, my friends. The DemonRats and RINO’s in Washington must be cleaned out. Responsible and conservative leadership must correct the terrible mistakes that have taken place since Ronald Reagan left office.

So…where were all of you when Bush started the Iraq War?
You guys do realize that it’s really expensive to invade a nation, right?
And I knew a lot of Reservists in college that saw combat in Somalia – but I also knew a whole lot more that joined the Reserves just for the tuition money. What do you say to that? Is that socialism?
Where do we draw the line? Does a Reservist earn college tuition the first time a bullet whizzes past his head? Or do all Reservists deserve to have their schooling paid for by the government? When does it stop being socialism and start to be supporting the troops?
And if a soldier that never sees combat is deserving of all these benefits from the government, what about a garbage man, on whom we rely for our society to maintain cleanliness and hygiene? How about the teachers that educate our children? Do they not deserve a little support, or do they have to see combat as well? Do doctors and police officers, who maintain the physical and moral health of our society, deserve government support any less than a soldier who never fights? Or does a cop have to be shot at before he earns his pension? A teacher has to stop a school shooting before we give them health insurance?
You may say that the military is necessary to defend freedom, but what about the cops? The doctors? The teachers? The janitors? The bus drivers? Do they not run the society, too? Are they any less necessary? Are they less human, less deserving?
If you guys were honest about this, you would be protesting soldiers that get free housing and free government healthcare, too. After all, they make a salary, don’t they? They get paid! They are the best trained soldiers in the world – I’m sure they can make a living and take care of themselves. Let the soldiers with sense make a living and the soldiers that can’t balance a checkbook fail!
But you don’t say that – why? Because you acknowledge that some people DO deserve government support – they DO deserve some free things, like healthcare and a home. Soldiers certainly deserve these things – I’ve seen what combat can do to a man’s mind, and I know that he deserves everything my country can give him.
Yet how is it morally different for our nation to do the same things for a janitor who busts his ass his entire life just to get by? Why don’t teachers, who work harder than anyone, get a little hand in life?

Our military should be greeted with the red carpet treatment. I have no issue with my tax dollars going to them, no matter what it may be. For what our soldiers endure, they should be treated like kings when they return home. They give up their civilian life to defend the freedoms of this country. They put their life on hold and in danger so the rest of us can sit around and bitch about our mundane lives. Respect these fine men and women who give much more than most of us civilians could understand. I hold the military with the utmost respect, because without them, we wouldn’t be free.
To hell with the welfare, get rid of it. Use that money to help the families of the fallen and the injured troops. They deserve it, not some lazy ass that never worked, has 10 illegitimate kids, and collects a check on my dime. They gave their blood, sweat and tears to the country. I want to see more given back.
I only wish I could have served. I couldn’t join due to the many health issues. So I do what I can to help those that did.
