MURDERERS GO BYE-BYE IN TEXAS EXECUTION TWO’FER
Last week, Texas kept up its reputation for being the worst state to commit murder in by sending two rotten killers into that great beyond. I’m talking two in two days…a Texas two’fer! How do you like that Delaware?!? You probably have to get a court order to put out a mousetrap there! Man, I love me some Texas!
Willie Pondexter, 34, was pronounced dead at the Huntsville prison at 6:18 pm (0018 Wednesday), nine minutes after he was given a lethal injection, according to the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. In 1993, Pondexter and three accomplices killed 85 year old Martha Lennox in Clarksville, Texas. They got $18 and stole her car.

On Wednesday, March 4, Texas executed convicted killer Kenneth Wayne Morris for the murder of a northwest Houston man slain during a burglary. This is the unusual part, attorneys for Morris are asking the courts to block the punishment, arguing his death sentence is unconstitutional because the Harris County district attorney’s office pursued the sentence because Morris is black. OK, let’s consider overturning the conviction because of supposed racism….hmmm….OK…NOPE..see ya! I will say one thing regarding Terry not knowing The Onion wasn’t a real newscast…I can see how that can happen at times, depending on the newscast they are doing…I have seen others on NBs that have been there quite awhile, who are conservatives think the broadcast the Onion was showing was real also.

I share many of the writes concerns as regards limiting the freedom of speech, remember the troubles that follwed the Satanic Verses?
The suggestion however that a parallel legal system is absolute hogwash. What are in effect are Tribunals, that resolves civil matters such as divorce and petty financial disputes. The persons involved are the ones who empower the courts decision. They can simply refuse to recognise teh tribunal’s power. In any case a tribunals decision can only be given legal effect by a county court(one of the lowest courts)
In reality these tribunals have always been in existence. This is just a loud sounding nothing in reality and the media does well in the way of dramatising things

When it comes to death row, I say “whack ‘em all”
If you’re going to have a death penalty, use it. Otherwise it offers no power. We here in California have Scott Peterson (among others)in San Quentin and he will probably die there of natural causes. Don’t believe for a minute he isn’t guilty. Plenty of what was known having to do with the case has never made the media, and it ALL points to his guilt. But we probably won’t kill him for his horrible deed.
By the way, why is it that the Bernie Madoff’s of the world get away with slaps on the wrist? –I DO consider Bernie’s life sentence a slap on the wrist. Especially since his wife and family live in the lap of luxury. So, consider this: China is the only country in the world that recognizes a person’s life savings as being an integral part of their life. They believe is you steal a person’s fortune, you steal their life! So, some financial crimes in China have a death penalty attached to them. We could use that kind of law here. I know I would feel better is all the bastards at Enron were shot and their fortunes equally divided with their victims.
