Been a long time since High School Govt. class. Can someone tell me if the House of Representatives has always had a closed door process to the people on the bills they vote on? If we elect congressmen to vote on our behalf, yet we really have no idea on what they are voting on, how does that system work? Since this is an open post – I’m curious as to how many folks think this point of view is right or wrong; Isn’t the most pressing and national emergency the United States is facing right now – the same one we have been ignoring since the early 1970′s – Our nations supply of energy?

Although our presence in the middle east does give the radical Islamo fascist a reason/purpose, Islam would have and will continue to spread regardless of our presence (or absence) in the Arab world. Look at England, Holland, and some of the other -non- oil or energy producing countries. They are being overwhelmed by Islamic immigrants.

Normally I might say that with such mass immigration you are bound to get a number of “nuts” – however having spent time in Saudi Arabia prior to and during the first desert war during the early 90′s and then again at the beginning of this particular unpleasantness in Iraq as well as time in Afghanistan, I have to say there are more than just a small percentage of “nuts” when it comes to Islam.

I think the larger picture which includes Hugo the Horrible (Venezuela), Libya’s nut job – Col Moammar Kadafi, Iran and even Russia is that they have ton’s of oil and being who they are – they have the free world and in particular – the United States – by the short hairs.

As for us – unfortunately an extremely small percentage (when compared to our whole population) of “green extremist” in the United States that have been successful in mapping the direction to where we currently find ourselves deployed. – Dependant on some very bad people for our primary energy source – petroleum – and- with a frightening group of socialist “green” nut jobs that represent the far extreme left – in power.

We have been trying to survive on increasing amounts of foreign energy while discussing “”"”green dreams”"”" about wind and solar and a host of other idiotic ideas. I don’t know the exact statistics but I believe its been at least 30 years since we have built a refinery or a nuclear power plant. We have other countries drilling for oil just off our shores yet – we aren’t.

Its taken them about 30 years but I’m afraid that these socialist nut jobs have succeeded in placing us into a position where we will soon go from a world power to a third world nation.

We can burry our heads in the sand (so to speak) but Iran is really truly and honestly building a very nasty bomb and Israel can’t (nor should they) allow them to succeed.

Sooner or later when Israel does go after Iran, I believe you can expect $200.00 a barrel oil and $7.00 a gallon gasoline, which is what the left really wants – but will totally devastate our extremely fragile economy.

The “real Americans” will eventually bring us back – those folks in the “red” areas and a growing number of middle right folks in the blue areas will “one way or another” toss out the idiots that have put us here, tear down the environmentalist communistic laws and enforcement “tools” that prohibit us from drilling, from using coal, etc. etc. but it could very well be a very cold winter until we are back on our feet.

A year ago the chant was “drill baby drill” – we dam well better renew that demand and do it soon
