SUGGESTIONS FOR REPUBLICANS OPEN POST

THE 3 R'S - RID REPUBLICANS OF RINOS!
The RINO Republicans have screwed up gigantically by supporting Dede Scozzafava in NY over conservative Doug Hoffman. The Republicans spent nearly $1 million dollars on Scozzafava’s campaign only to have her withdraw from the race and endorse the Democrat! And they wonder why they’re in the minority in Washington!
I know hacks from the RNC read this page so I want you dudes to share your suggestions for the Republican party to take to restore themselves to any semblance of competency. I have personally told RNC Chair Michael Steele to remember the 3 R’s…Rid Republicans of RINOs…if they want to return to power. He didn’t listen. Maybe he will now! It’s interesting to watch the tea party movement grow in power and capability across the country. Tea party patriots can be credited with the downfall of Scozzafava and the meteoric rise of Doug Hoffman. I believe the Republican party elite want the tea party to go away so they can conduct business as usual. It will not happen. We are growing and organizing and will be more of a force in the Republican party in the future.
So have at it with our wussypants Republican friends. Tell them what you would do if you were running the party. Hell, you couldn’t screw it up as bad as they have!

The Republican Party needs to:
1) Vet candidates in terms of their background and causes.
(Weed out RINOS and out of touch fools)
2) Standardize the election process by having ALL candidates run in a primary.
(DeDe Scuz would never have cost the party so much if this had been done)
3) Target market instead of trying to be all-inclusive.
Appeal to true conservatives versus Juan McPains and Olympia Snowes
Zorro, I would also add closing primaries to anyone other than registered Republicans. Letting Democrats cross over is ridiculous.
AWD
I like these suggestions, but Zorro I’m not sure that your examples
support your suggestion 3). As much as
you don’t like Snowe, would a real
conservative have much chance in
Maine? Snowe won her elections
easily, something like 70-30.
I think there are only a few issues
where I draw a line and say “No way no
how do I support someone who disagrees
with me on this one”. My top two are
illegal alien amnesty and affirmative
action (NO to both). The sad fact is
that most ‘conservatives’ are on the wrong side of both of those issues.
I’m sure others prioritize
differently. What happens when your
pet issue is the one that gets
shafted?
Anyways, I’m hoping that Rubio crushes
Crist in Florida, and that some sane
candidate comes up in CA and knocks
out Boxer. I live in NoCal, and I
doubt we’ll see a real conservative.
Make sure the candidates are born in the USA before they run:
Obama Was Not Born in U.S., Republicans Say
October 22, 2009
(Angus Reid Global Monitor) – Three-in-ten Americans think their current head of state was not born in the United States…
http://www.angus-reid.com/polls/view/34338/obama_was_not_born_in_us_republicans_say
(The polling data is interesting)
Republicans should get together and insist that the question of citizenship be included in the upcoming census. My senator, David Vitter, is adament about this subject and he’s about the only politician from my state that has any balls. He’s facing a DemonRat opponent very soon who has voted to not pull Charlie Rangel off of the committee he now sits on in spite of all his allegedly illegal activities. We know what bed he’s lying in…
WussyPants Republicans should forget about trying to appease illegals for their future vote-they ain’t gonna vote Republican anyway!
How does requiring citizenship to be reported in the census help anything? Who’s going to check all 330 million persons? Acorn?
Hell, they don’t care about all the illegal aliens in our country or bother tracking/deporting them. Speaking of the Census coming in 2010, how much info is too much info? Will you be answering only what the Constitution requires (# of people in household), or will you be answering ALL the demographic questions; or does it even matter?
To observer, Rubio is scoring better and better in polls in Florida and I am very hopeful, being a Floridian that he will take that seat against Crist.
To twodogs257, do you know if there are any sites out there that have information on what we are legally obligated to release to the Obamacorn census?
I ain’t a hack and I know my stuff,
It looks like folks, we gotta get rough
Elect NO ONE to the institution
Who won’t support the Constitution
Show the RINOs we’ve had enough!!!!!!
AWD, not trying to be a pain in the ass, the RNC Chair is Michael Steele.
Hey Tom, his first name might be Michael but he’s still a DICK
Article I Section 2 : “Representation and direct Taxes shall be apportioned among the several States which may be included within this Union, according to their respective Numbers … . The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.” This was pulled from the US Census Bureau’s website. Key word is respective numbers not race, religion, income, etc, etc, etc. However, I’m not so sure the constitution is applicable anymore to us; only when it’s convenient to the politicians.
Tom, thanks for the correction! Wasn’t Richard Steele an actor? Oops!
AWD
Slightly off-topic here, gents, but I thought I’d post this here to spread the word:
http://tinyurl.com/y9rh2ue
I realize heading to DC on a weekday with three day’s notice is not something most will be able to do (especially those who don’t have the option of the infamous $10/3-hour Chinatown Express), but I hope enough can find some way to make the trip.
PS–Hoffman in NY 23!!!
Maybe write some benefitial legistlation that would benefit people other than minorities and women.
Here are my suggestions:
1. Stop providing tax breaks to greedy corporations and start following the true principles of Capitalism as envisioned by Adam Smith.
2. Start exercising true fiscal conservatism that practices financial responsibility. Wasteful wars in Iraq and elsewhere will not help the cause of the Republicans.
3. Know your demographics. The Republicans need to stop lamely trying to appeal to blacks through token negroes such as Clarence Thomas and Michael Steele. They need to realize that they have alienated blacks and other non-white groups far too much to ever enjoy their support. Republicans might as well just go all in as a party for white people. If it weren’t for the destructive economic policies of Republicans such as Bush, there is no way Obama would have won the 2008 election. With the exceptions of a few bleeding heart whites, many whites that do vote Democratic do so for economic reasons. This goes back to my first point about the need for Republicans to stop favoring corporations over working people.
4. Demonstrate that prominent conservatives can also be well educated. If Obama’s election has signified nothing else, it has revealed to the American people that smart is in. I know this will piss people off, but no one will take you seriously as long as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck remain your icons.
5. Shut down the border (regardless of the short-term economic consequences), improve the lives of common people, Stop caving in to leftist identity politics (as evidenced by Michael Steele), and put forth better candidates than George W. Bush and John McCain.
Even though I do not vote Republican, should the Republican party implement some serious changes, then I might consider crossing over.
YAWM, please tell us one thing that Limbaugh or Beck has said or done that makes people not take conservatives serious. Unless you’re talking about liberals taking us serious. I don’t care about liberals.
AWD
First of all, let me say i love your site sir. I wanted to add something to the debate, a winning issue for the GOP would be the decriminalzation of marijuana. I believe that is the TRULY conservative stance on this issue. We are wasting billions of dollars imprisoning stoners that cause no harm to anyone and billions more on the “war on drugs” which would do more good if we didn’t spend it on docile marijuana users and concentrated more on cocaine, crack, & heroin. Not to mention getting the support of all of the conspiracy theorists that probably number in the millions right now. They are mostly conservative by nature. They mostly hate liberalism. They would be coming in droves to support any pro-pot conservative. I know, i am one of them. Along with about 150 more people in my immediate sect.
Republicans cheerleading for war is probably the biggest turn off for most fair minded americans. Anyone with any sense knew that Iraq didn’t have any WMD’s and had nothing to do with 9/11. (by “any sense”, I mean TV news is not your only source of info). Like the soon to be fired treasury secretary it was also obvious to me the war was going to cost much more than $50-80 billion.
If the republicans stay true to the things that made the US great, they will do well. Peace, liberty, and capitalism.
The solution is simple really, not only with ‘Pubs, but every single politician…READ our Constitution,Bill Of Rights,etc.,etc….read all the quotes and other fascinating pieces of literature our Founding Fathers wrote while trying to start out our great Republic…go back to the basics, envision what they saw during those times and what they had written for and about “We The People”…then take a good look around you at the frickin disaster and chaos that has formed amongst yourselves and how it effects us as a Nation…and you don’t even read the bills you try to cram down our throats, nor do you seem to care….it’s all about the almighty dollar and who’s number one, isn’t it?
It’s okay though, because We The People have awoken…a new dawn looms on the horizon…you can take our money, guns and all that other material s**t….but you won’t take our spirit or love and honor we hold for these United States of America…we are sick and tired of being sick and tired…..

“Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny”.

AWD, I am not necessarily worried about how liberals might perceive individuals such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck. People who strictly adhere to liberalism are going to despise conservatives regardless of their educational credentials. I am mainly focusing on moderates such as myself, who don’t strictly adhere to any “liberal” or “conservative” ideology. While people like me may not have much love for liberals, we are skeptical about becoming conservatives for fear of being associated with the likes of Limbaugh and Beck. Here are a few things they’ve said or done that trouble me.
1. Glenn Beck claimed that Obama’s health care plan is a form of “stealth reparations” for black people. Don’t get me wrong, if you’ve read my previous posts, you’ll know that I am strongly opposed to reparations for blacks. However, Glenn Beck has no solid or even reasonable speculative proof that suggests Obama’s health care plan would give blacks reparations.
2. Rush Limbaugh suggesting that white kids get beat up in Obama’s America (in reference to the Belleville bus incident). Granted, I too am sick and tired of the way white kids get harassed by black kids. However, white kids have been getting beat up well before anyone even knew Barack Obama existed. To make such a claim undermines one’s credibility.
These are just a couple of examples that I can think of. While there are numerous people on the left who make outrageous and offensive statements (Michael Moore, Janeane Garofolo), the burden is on conservatives to win back the public’s trust. I am not saying this out of any sense of self-righteousness, but when you’re in a hole it’s your duty to dig yourself out.
YAWM, what do you think wealth redistribution is? Payoffs to his supporters. You can call it redistribution or reparations or whatever, it still is forcefully taking money from producers to give to moochers. So Rush didn’t say that white kids have been getting beaten up longer than the Obama administration. So what? For those reasons you see them as bad for conservatives? Weak
AWD
AWD, the problem with conservatives such as Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck is that they are way too predictable. Granted, this is a problem with liberals as well. However, since we are discussing Rush and Glenn, I was not at all surprised when Glenn Beck called Van Jones a communist. Whether or not Van Jones still harbors Marxist beliefs is up to debate. Rush and Glenn need to cease their ad hominem attacks (ie. socialist, communist, America hater, etc) and try to convey a sense of greater objectivity and inquiry. I don’t think liberals are necessarily any better. Many of them constantly respond to criticism by throwing out the overused R word, fascist, ignorant oppressor, etc. All I am saying is that conservatives need to repair their image in order to mount a comeback.
YAWM, if tomorrow’s 3 races in VA, NJ and NY turn out the way the polls say, I’d say conservatives have caught fire without altering their message one little bit. That’s the problem. Trying to make moderates or liberals like us by altering our message is a recipe for failure. They never will like us and we frankly don’t care.
AWD
Hey, perhaps you’re right, but I do think conservatives have to distance themselves from the latest conservative regime. As long as people associate conservatives with Bush, you guys are in a lot of trouble.
YAWM, you have a lot to learn kid!
Come back and talk to us in 20 years, ok?
Keep “straddlin th fence” and you’re gonna get your balls squashed.
Hey Tazzmax, no need for the ad hominem attacks. Yes, I acknowledge that I have much to learn, having only been alive for a little over 19 years. As a young and relatively inexperienced person, my insight into politics might not be so great. However, that doesn’t mean you have to dismiss me as an ignoramus who needs to wait 20 years to come back and talk to you. I suppose by “straddlin the fence” you are referring to my self-classification as a political moderate who believes that Democrats and Republicans should negotiate with one another. Correct me if I’m wrong, but you are an unapologetic conservative who doesn’t believe in negotiating with the other side. While I may not agree with all of your views, I respect your position. To be honest, I’ve always admired people who have uncompromising attitudes (you know, as a psychological matter). However, why don’t you actually debate me and prove why my points are wrong. I’m always up for a good debate!
Good Morning Friends:
AWD, you always entertain and make me think with your posts.
Let’s hope today’s elections start the momentum for badly needed change and the elimination of Hussein Hopenchange.
Barbara Boxer and Charlie Crist are hypocritical, ineffectual opportunists.
Boxer is a talking head filled with helium and 15 pounds of fecal matter. Crist is a major homo, in a marriage of convenience who has done little of value for Florida.
I am in complete agreement with Observer about eliminating apefirmative action and his stance on illegal alien amnesty.
Thank you to AWD and all of the members for sanctuary in a world that is not changing for the better.
In case ya’ll don’t know- Regarding the upcoming census: a small state like mine could lose a congressional seat due to a denser population in another state made up of illegals. That’s why we should insist the citizenship of every person be questioned.
Depressing info about Doug Hoffman

http://24ahead.com/doug-hoffmans-immigration-position-part-2
It’s not totally damning, but it provides
something to think about. Do tea party
activists want to be used as an instrument of the open borders crowd, just like the
GOP? I would hope not.
One bit of silliness is Hoffman’s statement
here:
HOFFMAN: Right. But one thing I was
trying to get across, Glenn, is that we
need to make it easy for skilled
professionals and doctors and scientists
and engineers that can come in here and
help us out and then go home after they’ve
done the job, we need to make it easier
for them to come in.
Hey Doug, the illegal alien amnesty issue
has NOTHING to do with highly skilled
professionals! Holy crap, you’d think there
are all these Nobel prize winning Mexican
physicists running across the border. And
also, truth be told, I don’t mind having a
few high end brainiacs come here LEGALLY and
become citizens. It’s the tens of millions
of dirt poor Mexicans that are the problem.
Observer, here’s what Hoffman says:
Where do you stand on illegal immigration?
There is no question that our immigration policies are flawed. The answer, though, is not to put up a wall and stop all immigration. The answer is to create an easier path for immigrants to enter the United States – and to work here – while at the same time getting tough on illegal immigrants who commit crimes.
I don’t have a problem with it. He is saying to get tough on illegal immigrants who commit crimes. I would rather he said “get tough on illegal immigrants…period!” But he is in NY, not Texas. And he’s a heck of a lot more like us conservatives than Scozzafava. If he’s fiscally conservative and not a pawn of the wussypants Repubs, I like him!
AWD
I’m hoping for a Trifecta today!
Big Time!
The msm are beside themselves…the spin has been something else for the last few days…but especially today.
Hoe dumb do they think we are?
They get all these RINOs on their shows espousing their “we need a big tent” BS spin…I’m sick of it.
They’d better wake up and get a clue…or they are next!
We’ll getcha ya all my pretty!
AWD,
I’d much rather have Hoffman win, but the glass only looks half full. I don’t
want to be a downer, but theres a lot of
work to be done…
“He is saying to get tough on illegal
immigrants who commit crimes.”
Read that sentence you wrote a few times, my brother!
Anyways, like I said, I hope he wins.
“Quit spending money needlessly” should
be branded on the head of every
congresscritter. It looks like he gets that.
I get such a laugh over how all the Demoncrates keep saying how the Republicans are not inclusive and our “big tent” isn’t so big. They sure are worried about our future eh – NOT –
They want us to bring in pro deather abortion freaks, big government big spending nuts, etc. etc. etc. They call libtards like Scozzafava “moderates” and the problem is – we do have Republicans – worse yet – Republican “leaders” who believe their BS
Of course the Demoncrates are so inclusive – mean – like – just check out how many pro lifers are Demoncrates, and how many fiscal conservatives they have working on the health care take over – cap and tax, – and most of all – how tolerant and full of respect they are of other folks opinions and beliefs.
They really show the Republicans just how a big tent party should be eh –
Get friggen real folks – we really are at war and if you listen to and try to appease those “big tent loving moderates” you best get used to socialized everything and kiss every single one of the hard fought freedoms that was paid for in blood – goodbye.
Simple.
“Do you swear to uphold, protect, and defend The Constitution of the USA, or will you support, defend, equivocate, and pander to PC?”
Unless there is a clear and convincing answer and solid evidence and a proven track record absolutely 100% in favor of The Constitution, then tell them we already have enough problems and they will only make it worse, and so they should do us all a favor and get lost.
Constitution or PC, one or the other, there is no middle ground.
YAWM, my thoughts to you were not “ad hominem” attacks.
I was just pointing out that you are standing in the middle, which is nowhere,…you’re either one or the other.
Conservatives do NOT support RINOs ala BOOSH, McScamnesty, LinSEED Grahamnesty, CornHoler,Crist,Newtie, or any of their brethren,…..I don’t know where you get that impression?
Please name me ONE good thing that demo-RATs have done for this country!
Everything they have done throughout history has been against the constitution.
Show me ONE time where they’ve reached across the aisle to truely compromise with repubs, unless it was with strings attached for more and more govt growth.
Glen Beck and Rush tell the truth and expose the evil that the progressive/statist/Marxists are force feeding America.
Without those modern day “Paul Reveres”, along with Coulter, Malkin, Savage and others, this country would already be a communist dictatorship.
You and I both live in Mexifornia and if you can’t see what the illegal alien colonizing hordes are doing to this state, then something’s wrong with you.
By default those scumbags are criminals by violating our soverign laws, {with impunity},by crossing the border without permission.
Giving amnesty to those criminals is FLAT out wrong,…they need to be deported,…all of them.
10 billion dollars of our taxes is spent yearly for their entitlements.
I could round up and deport a lot of illegals for 10 billion!
Hey, it’s a free country {so far}, believe what you want.
To me, the last Democrat worth voting for was Dr. Larry McDonald, Ga. Congressman. He was murdered by the Soviet Union aboard the Korean Airlines jet on Sept. 1, 1983. Seldom is it mentioned by the media, the commie-coddling leftwing controllers of the “news.”
Blue dogs are phonies – none will challenge their leadership, all vote for Pelosi, Reid and Obama, none ever talk about a party switch. RINOs are pathetic, of course. We need Reagan conservatives, of which there are few. Ron Paul is the best.
I can name several great things Democrats have accomplished, or, even if they weren’t Democrats back then, they would be seen as RINOs today. Anyway, here’s my list:
1. Abolish child labor.
2. Establish the 8 hour day and 40 hour week.
3. Helped guide us through WWII.
4. Ensured safe food products, sanitation, and an overall safer and more comfortable standard of living through their reforms in the early 20th century (Think of Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle”).
These are just a few examples. Granted, I can name several bad things Democrats have done over the years:
1. Opened our nation to mass 3rd world immigration starting in 1965.
2. Supported affirmative action, black identity politics, and other multiculturalist policies, which have turned this nation into a multiracial jungle. No other advanced nation has to endure racial diversity the way we do (Though Western Europe is now starting to experience similar headaches).
3. Overall, they kiss black and brown ass way too much.
You probably wonder why I continue to vote for the Democratic party. Well, having come of age politically during the era of George W. Bush, I have always had a very low opinion of Republicans and Conservatives. This goes back to my earlier point about Republicans needing to put forth better candidates. Also, I wouldn’t call these conservative pundits “Paul Reveres.” Don’t exactly understand how we would be a Communist dictatorship without the presence of Beck, Savage, etc.
I figure that if the government were to ever infringe upon our rights, we as everyday people would be leading the revolution, not Savage, Beck, or Limbaugh. By the way Tazzmax I can’t say I’m thrilled about the current demographic make-up of California. Still, I have known numerous Latinos throughout my life and they are by far friendlier, harder working, and overall easier to be around than blacks. I would much rather live in California than Atlanta, Detroit, Baltimore, D.C, etc.
