COLUMBIA PROFESSOR ENJOYS BLACK PRIVILEDGE
Recently, Lionel McIntyre, a black male Columbia professor found a conversation with a white female co-employee more than he could handle with his verbal skills. Once his well-rehearsed lines about “white privilege” were used she wasn’t buying it. Then, to ice the debate, he used the time-proven method of calling her a racist! That didn’t do it either. Silly white girl! So he used the only thing left in his arsenal…a right cross to the jaw! How can one argue with logic like that? Why does Angry White Dude say the professor enjoys black privilege? Because if he was a white male and hit a black woman, he would be charged with a hate crime and have Al (aks me if I’s impotent) leading his professional rent-a-riot crowd in front of his house for a few weeks. Since he’s a black man hitting a white woman….nothing will be said in the mainstream press!
I always find it interesting how many black people who find the AWD site and comment always leave threats of violence. Generally, the comment starts with a racial insult that says “you wouldn’t say that to my face” or some variable. AWD always asks for the person leaving the comment to prove how I am racist rather than calling me one. They never reply. I guess it comes from white people allowing themselves to be painted in a corner regarding race relations. We have allowed ourselves to be held responsible for everything. The R word is a weapon the left has used for generations and will not give up easily. In our politically correct society, white people are not allowed to criticize any action of another race without being labeled racist. If whites actually dare to criticize blacks or argue a point that disagrees with PC culture, we are threatened with violence.
Isn’t this exactly what happened in New York with Lionel McIntyre hitting his white female colleague? After he railed on her for some supposed white privilege and called her a racist, his last line of debate was violence. Look at Henry Louis Gates, the black professor at Harvard arrested for acting like a fool when being questioned by police in Cambridge, Mass. He couldn’t get above the ghetto insults even when simply asked his name by the white policeman. He said, “your mama knows my name.” Call me foolish, I would have simply given my name! Even President Obama had a knee-jerk, community organizer moment when he said the police “acted stupidly.” These are educated men yet digress to ghetto insults or violence when challenged.
If Obama is interested in a teaching moment, he would tell blacks they will not win every debate. They will not always convince people they are right when arguing about racial topics. But they hurt their cause by threats and violence. In this period of so-called post racialism, whites are standing up as never before concerning labels of racism. The vast majority of white people judge people on their actions and character…not skin color. Blacks seem to be the ones stuck on pigment. I simply refuse to accept that. As for threats of violence, I noticed McIntyre hit the woman and not her male companion. As for violence, my good Austrian friend Mr. Glock is my constant companion.

Hey AWD, I hate to act as a member of the spelling and grammar police, but I noticed a couple of errors in your post. For one, you should have said “a bite more than he could handle,” rather than omitting “a.” Also, you say that “black comments start with racial insults than says.” You should have said “then.” Once again, I am not saying this to be a snob, but I don’t want you to provide ammunition to blacks and anti-racists who insist that we AWDs are all these uneducated idiots. Now that I am no longer obsessed with spelling and grammar (being the nerd that I am), I figured I should discuss the actual incident. If this professor is fired, stripped of all his possessions (including financial assets), and sent to prison for life with no chance of parol, then maybe I’ll buy the whole concept of “white privilege.” Granted, whites enjoy numerous economic advantages that are partially due to the legacy of the G.I Bill, housing segregation, and other employment opportunities that were once upon a time off limit to blacks. Speaking of that, I am not trying to diminish the hard work of whites. All I am saying is that ECONOMICALLY speaking, we are more privileged than blacks. HOWEVER, my own personal experience and observation of the MSM in no way leads me to conclude that this society is plagued by pervasive “white privilege.” Somehow, the charges of blacks and their pathetic white allies that this society if rife with “institutionalized racism” and “white privilege” is a bit farfetched. Yes, many blacks now live in the ghetto and struggle due to PAST racism (ie. redlining, restriction of opportunities, etc), but somehow the whole notion that such problems exist despite not being able to see, feel, smell, or touch “institutionalized racism” and “white privilege” strikes me as a bit odd. The likes of Tim Wise, Michael Eric Dyson, and others can blindly cite government statistics and make sweeping indictments all they want. The truth remains is that this is not 1955 Mississippi anymore. So much for a post-racial America!
Obama being elected POUSA has hurt race relations – not improved them. Just like the guy in the video said – watch out America. Don’t say anything that might ‘hit the button’ of a black person cause it won’t be pretty. I’m with you, AWD, talk to the 9mm – cause the face ain’t listening!

You do recall me saying that this professor should be fired, sent to prison for life, and stripped of all his possessions, don’t you? If you think that I blame whitey, I assure you that is not a case. There is a huge difference between understanding and acceptance. While I understand that racism and discrimination have seriously harmed blacks, that doesn’t mean that I accept their behavior. While I understand why blacks hate us and are angry at us, that doesn’t mean I accept such hatred. If they hate us, I’m going to return their hatred. If you pay close attention, the vast majority of “black criminals” are mulattoes who have to prove that they hate “whitey” and are therefore for “black” than their pure-bred black brothers: Obama, Holder, Jesse Jackass, Al Sharpie, OJ, this Nutty Professor from Columbia, the Nutty professor from Harvard, etc., ad nauseum.
We are now picking up the tab BIG TIME for bringing boatloads of “free labor” to this country 200 years ago. There is no such thing as a free lunch, or free labor, for that matter.
Why did the Founding Fathers make the epic mistake of bringing slaves from Africa to America? I know that hindsight is 20/20, but for G-d’s sake what were they thinking? I guess their mistake was believing that over time you could not only take the negro out of the jungle, but that eventually you could take the jungle out of the negro.

I ask that because a few of your more sympathetic points seem to echo libtard memes that are invariably promulgated in higher indoctrin–education. I applaud your ability to resist liberal brainwashing (assuming you’ve been exposed to it) and your effort to be as fair as possible in this area. I would caution, however, about being “overly fair”. Blacks owe this country a debt of gratitude and nothing short of that. Consider the amount of blood and treasure spent in their name, from the Civil War to the sundry Affirmative Action programs since Johnson, from trillions in aid to Africa to an army of apologists in our criminal justice system–might this all serve to take some of the edge off of any such “white economic privilege”?
And, of course, if blacks are so miserable here, they have an entire continent they’re free to go back to–one that amply demonstrates what happens when they are left to their own devices and suffer no racial injustices such as “white privilege”, economic or otherwise.

Olds442–i agree. I’ve come to consider slavery as the Us’s original sin. Imagine where’d we be as a nation if we never did that???
I was thinking that discrimination was pretty much gone in our country but it’s back. The Black’s seem to have resurected it since the election by expecting everything be handed them. I thought it already was! They miss the point that they have to take the initiative themselves to seek it. I guess they expect that it should just be mailed to them. Another issue that they overlook is about slavery over 200 years ago…who was it that sold them into slavery? It was the tribal leaders in Africa, not the white man who initiated it! I guess that it’s much easier for them to blame whites for all of their problems instead of looking in the mirror and admit that they have responsibility for their actions or lack thereof.
RedStater, I am currently a 2nd-year undergraduate. Having lived in the Bay Area (most liberal region in the nation) my entire life, I too sometimes slip into typical liberal thinking. However, I regard my experience in the ultraliberal, multiracial Bay Area as incredibly valuable. Having lived around anti-racists and the different races they supposedly love, I know how they think and what kind of arguments they employ (though I don’t presume to speak for all of them). I grew up with the whole “blacks can’t be racist because they don’t have any power” argument. Well, if being a racist requires power, then I on an individual level can’t be racist! Believe me, if I had the kind of power to discriminate against people, I would be eternally grateful (because I’m evil like that, ha ha ha ha!). I know, blacks and their white allies will say that since I am a member of the “dominant group” (their definition of dominance is rather weird), I am the spawn of Satan. Anyway, though I echo some liberal arguments, I don’t see myself as “liberal” or “conservative;” I see myself as YAWM. The main reason why I distrust conservatives is simply because I was 18 when I voted for Obama in the general election, which meant that George W. Bush was the president when I came of age politically and socially. However, my disdain for liberals is more personal and intense because I have actually witnessed their hypocrisy and shortcomings firsthand. While they preach tolerance, diversity, and multiculturalism, white liberals tend to live in mostly white neighborhoods and send their kids to lily-white public schools (or in the case of urban whites in the Bay Area, private schools). Many white kids I knew would also regurgitate tired rhetoric on “white racism” and xenophobia, and acted as if all non-whites were these perfect angels. Speaking of non-whites, I think I will scream if I hear another person say “people of color.” The term “people of color” is a dishonest attempt to unite all non-whites in order to take whites down. Trust me, I have known many Latinos and Asians, and they are nothing like blacks with whom they supposedly have everything in common. Honestly, do they think Asian Americans have much in common with the DeShawns and Laquishas of the world? I hate to break it to them, but we’re not all going to suddenly unite under some rainbow. There isn’t ever going to be a Communist utopia, so they might as well accept that. Anyway, I have much contempt for most white liberals. Therefore, even if I sometimes recite liberal and black rhetoric regarding race, understand that I do so in an attempt to better comprehend their arguments. After all, it is best to know one’s enemy.

I know how the Bay-area was. I left there in 1974 and moved to Arizona because I couldn’t stand the liberal BS they were throwing around at that time, of which it has only increased. Those who recently lived in CA and couldn’t stand what had become to their State moved to AZ over the past 12 years. The problem is, they brought all of their liberal evil ways with them that screwed up their State and have tried to impose them on us, especially their thinking of gun control. We are still in the ‘old west’ way of thinking here and will continue to wear our ‘hog legs’ holstered at our hips. Our largest issue is with illegal immegrants coming over our border. Last year, our former governor was able to get a State law (same as the Federal one) passed making it a crime for them to be here and were deported. Now that she’s head of Homeland Security, she’s changed this by bowing down to Obama and his Mafia in an attempt to make them all instant legal citizens. She is a traitor to our State and so are our Rep’s. ICE is a useless organization in AZ now. We longtime AZ residends don’t put up with this socialistic crap and are fighting to do away with all of the corruption that politican’s and liberal’s are trying to impose. No AZ politican currently in office will be re-elected. It’s time for new blood and for electing American’s who love their Country to serve us!

Y’all need a bit of a history lesson here about the beginnings of slavery in the U.S. It was in 1642 in the State of Massachusetts that slavery was instituted… yep, those Pilgrims from the Mayflower!!! Christian white men! Massachusetts, Rhode Island and New York built huge fleets of ships to transport the Africans over here. Yes, folks above are correct in that the white men didn’t have to go ashore and hunt down the slaves themselves. They were waiting on the docks and ready for loading. Arabs and black tribes rounded up and sold Africans to the white men. So New England benefited from slavery in the beginning; however, it didn’t last long as the Africans didn’t take kindly to the cold winters and weren’t well-suited to factory labor. So they began selling them to the Southern plantation owners, who were farming: easy winters and unskilled labor. The New Englanders owned and operated the slave trade for about 200 years. No slave ship has ever been found chartered out of a Southern port… they all came through New England. And all that hollering and screaming about ending slavery? It was South bashing. New Englanders (principally Anglo-Saxons) hated Southerners (principally Celtics). There was a hatred about a 1,000 years in the making before either group came here and settled their own regions. New Englanders could care less about black people… it was the money that they wanted, and they came down here and took it. The last freed slave in this country was in 1869 in the state of Delaware (a Yankee state).
Willi, you are right about the northern states. While many people today inaccurately see the 3/5 clause as the act of wicked white Southerners, the people behind the initiative were Northerners. Southerners actually wanted blacks to count as full people, whereas Northerners wanted them to count as zero for purposes of representation. Abraham Lincoln and the North never gave a hoot about the condition of blacks in the South and only cared about preserving the union and ending the anti-capitalist, feudal slave system in the South. In fact, Lincoln wanted to deport all blacks to Africa following emancipation! Unfortunately, John Wilkes Booth killed him before he could implement his vision.

YAWM- Yes I also grew up in a city, like many through out our great nation that had to be integrated after are elemntary years. I noticed that alot of class mates through out K-6th, girls and boys were missing in middle school? I never thought about it untill in my later years that they have moved to a non-integrated conmunity or were sent to privat schools? The district I was asign to was made of 70% black and 30% white. There were 17 year olds still in middle school mixed in with 13 and 14 year olds, it was a culture shock.As to reference to the hypocrits in our soicity they are the one that never went to an integrated school system! I would like to take everyone of those hypocrites and put them in a integrated school system and see how fast they go running home.( thanks for making the movie hair spray).

people fail to realize that slavery was a massive industry back in the 1700′s and that America was the LEADER in ending slavery, not just localy, but globaly, and America did.

As far as the affirmative action professor, he is a coward. First, hitting the woman because she disagrees with you is wrong. Pretty simple stuff. Now this was a cowardly act. Therefore the professor is a coward.
Not that I would have any more respect for him if he hit another man, nobody should be hitting anyone. But it is obvious that she is an easy target and would not resist. Sort of how a mugger or rapist thinks.

What really makes my blood boil is the blind anger and rage that blacks have for whites when we are the ones who are giving up positions (such as the one the professor has) for programs such as affirmative action.
Did you know that if you are black and get poor scores on your SAT’s Annapolis (the Naval Academy) will accept you and even provide a years worth of remedial classes to get you up to speed? Not for while males though.
So basically what I am saying is that they are angry at the people who are giving them these opportunities. But if it as up to me I would not give them any program or tax money. When is it going to be enough?
