President Hopenchange has run up against another Iranian roadblock (again) with his plan to have Iran ship their uranium abroad for low grade enrichment. The Iranians said, “no thanks.” Did anyone REALLY believe Iran would accept that? Only Hussein Hopenchange, his minions and the corrupt America-hating United (against America) Nations. For those of us who live in the real world, we long ago realized Iran would negotiate into perpetuity..or until they have a working nuke…as long as the wussypants western countries would talk. Face it, everyone had to know Iran’s scheme. Just like North Korea’s “rattle the saber then negotiate for food” ploy. This is going nowhere fast! AWD believes Iran already has a working nuke and is simply toying with a west who would rather kick the can down the road rather than act. The problem is Israel’s very existence hangs in the balance. George Bush also kicked the can down the road after backing down from his “Iran will never develop a nuke” tough-guy stance. Obama has already signaled he can live with a nuclear Iran. The problem is Israel cannot. Literally!
Here is what Iran said today:
“Surely we will not send our 3.5 percent fuel abroad but can review swapping it simultaneously with nuclear fuel inside Iran,” Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told the ISNA students’ news agency.
So the deal Iran now offers is we give them new nuclear fuel while they keep the enriched stuff that can be further processed into weapons grade uranium? You gotta give it to those mad mullahs, they really know how to negotiate!
So what are the options? The entire world knows by now that Obama doesn’t have the stones to take any overt action other than send strongly worded BS threats he doesn’t intend to act on. So what happens? At the present rate, nothing. Iran continues to shoot the finger to the world while we continually pretend Iran will negotiate. One thing the two wars in Iraq have taught madmen all over the world….don’t waste your money on jets or tanks…get nukes.
However, Israel has also said they will not live under constant threat from a nuclear Iran. I tend to believe Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu. Should the United States take overt action against Iran? Should we blockade Iran and shut down their economy? Iran has already said that would be an act of war and they would take action against US interests. Should we try to flame the uprising of Iranians upset over the stolen election by the detestable nut Ahmandinejad in an effort to overthrow the regime? That takes time. Should we unilaterally take out the nuclear sites with our military? The problem is do we have enough military intelligence to know where all the locations are? Probably not. Or should we allow the Israelis to do what they want to do and attack Iran? None of the options are without serious consequences. Any attack on Iran would lead to terrorist attacks against the United States and Israel. Iran would also try to shut down the Persian gulf and choke off the supply of OPEC oil to the world. We know China and Russia will not stand with us no matter what Obama gives them because they sell billions of dollars in technology to Iran and the madmen running it. If we attack Iran, China might make a move on Taiwan. Russia could make a move on Georgia. North Korea might make a move on South Korea. It’s pretty clear Obama would not protect our allies. Hell, he can’t even decide on sending more troops to Afghanistan! There really are no easy answers.
I’d like to know what the dudes suggest. There is no easy way out. Best case is a lot of people are going to die. Worst case is we could end up with a world war with a commander in chief who hates his country leading us! Let’s hear from you.

Wake up. Something very unusual is going on here. This very prophesy of a two thousand year dispersion had been written down nearly three thousand years ago.
The two issues that confront us today, are the same two issues that have always confronted us:
(1) Whether to acknowledge that G-d runs the show; versus the absurd idea that everything that happens is completely random;
(2) Our free choice of whether to be on the side of good, or conversely, to be on the side of evil. There is no middle ground.
The world empires that have attempted to destroy the nation of Israel have all since been relegated to the dust bin of history: Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia, Persia, Greece, Rome, Spain, Germany and Great Britain.
The nation of Israel is eternal.
Iran is not.
The future of AMERICA hangs in the balance. If America helps to defeat Iran, than G-d will help to miraculously defeat the enemies of America. If America abandons Israel, than G-d will abandon America. It’s that simple.
We will soon have to decide unequivacably which side we choose to be on. Just about all of the puzzle pieces have fallen into place.
There really is not that much time left.
Choose wisely.
Israel will have to do it. With our blessing, of course.
They will not get “our” blessing, of course.
The better question is: when that mushroom cloud appears, wherever it appears, what should be B Hussein Obama’s payback? He is clearly abetting jihad.

I think Israel will be forced to take action against Iran and if America doesn’t come to their rescue when the whole world piles on,…it WILL be at our peril!
Israel has just about “had enough” and I think they will act soon,…I don’t see any other way out of it,……the cowards in DC don’t have the “nads” solve the Iran problem once and for all, so it’s up to Israel for their very survival.

I’m not a christian. I’m not religious. If we protect Israel, it should because they are our staunchest ally in the Middle East. It should be because we recognized them as a country. That we have backed them as often as possible, so why not now. i may not agree with how Israel was formed, but I will not turn my back on an ally. i also do not support my country doing it.
If we go to war, can we charge Obama with desertion or dereliction of duty. I mean he will technically be the Commander in Chief at that point right?
Israel is not out staunchest ally. They have screwed us over numerous times, the most significant being the attack on the USS Liberty. A US Navy vessel was attacked by Israeli warplanes in June of 1967. Killed 34 proud Americans. Research that before you spout out that staunch ally bs.
As for Iran, they are not my problem and they are not your problem. An attack on Iran would jack up oil to 200 dollars a barrel.
Israel won’t do it. They can’t do it completely with their military so they are pushing their bitch (the USA) into doing it.

Way back in the 70′s the university I attended had a lot of muslim students studying engineering. (A program paid for by American tax payers.) The Pakistani students were adamant about getting nukes in Pakistan to level the playing field with India. They eventually developed nukes for themselves, and have been helping other muslim nations, like Iran, to develop their nuclear capabilities.
Remember, they are muslims first. We and Israel are the enemy. Iran will attack Israel when they are able to deliver a nuclear warhead.
It is up to Israel to avert this disaster. I agree with Texas Fred, but our weak leader will never allow any aggression toward his muslim buddies by the United States.

I understand that being a Marine, the defence of this county is of utmost importance and I hope that was your motives for being one. The Israeli attack on Liberty was a very unfortunate incident that was decided to be a horrible mistake that was half Israel’s fault and half due to communications problems with our equipment. Liberty was covert and could not give information about its location that would have kept it from being suspect. No matter what you think about the Liberty incident, which Israel paid 13 million for the soldiers killed and 8 million for repairs to Liberty, and I am not saying that lives of Americans can be bought, but at least in paying they admitted they were at fault, you show that you have no idea of the history of America and Israel when you make the assinine comment that Israel is not one of our most loyal and important allies. Get a grip.

Here is a recap of what they are trying to make you forget.
1. Last Spring, Rose Gottemoeller, an assistant secretary of state and Washington’s chief nuclear arms negotiator, asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Israel refused.
2. The United Nations passed a resolution calling on Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.
3. The IAEA asked Israel to sign the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and to submit to inspections. Israel refused.
4. Iran’s formal notification to the IAEA of the planned construction of the backup fuel-rod facility underscores that Iran is playing by the rules of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty which Iran has signed.
5. Iran allows IAEA inspections of all its facilities.
6. Contrary to face-saving claims, it appears that the US and Israel were both caught off guard by Iran’s announcement. The reasoning is simple. Had the US or Israel announced the existence of he new facility before Iran’s notified the IAEA, it would have put Iran on the defensive. As it is now, the US and Israel seem to be playing catch up, casting doubt on the veracity of Israel’s claims to “know” that Iran is a nuclear threat.
7. The IAEA and all 16 United States Intelligence Agencies are unanimous in agreement that Iran is not building and does not possess nuclear weapons.
8. In 1986, Mordachai Vanunu blew the whistle and provided photographs showing Israel’s clandestine nuclear weapons factory underneath the reactor at Dimona.
9. Israel made the same accusations against Iraq that it is making against Iran, leading up to Israel’s bombing of the power station at Osirik. Following the invasion of 2003, international experts examined the ruins of the power station at Osirik and found no evidence of a clandestine weapons factory in the rubble.
10. The United Nations has just released the Goldstone Report, a scathing report which accuses Israel of 37 specific war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza earlier this year. Israel has denounced the report as “Anti-Semitic (even though Judge Goldstone is himself Jewish), and the United States will block the report from being referred to the War Crimes Tribunal at the Hague, thereby making the US Government an accessory after-the-fact.

AWD and fellow Dudes, I understand it is an attractive option to crack off a high-order, high-altitude hydrogen bomb over Iran but that just is not a viable answer. I guess we human beings seek simple checklist solutions to complex problems but in reality this seldom makes the grade. So, follow me on this: If you’re actually able, and I mean really able to EMP and/or nuke Iran (politically, emotionally, spiritually not technically because we know we have the technical ability) then you’d be stupid to just stop there. The entire muslim world would certainly be energized by such an event and cause massive backlash, plus we’d certainly get some violent backlash here at home from our in-house muslims. I imagine we’d catch some hell from a lot of different countries allied with Iran plus those opposed to nuking anyone just on principle (and of course out of fear they might be next). In short, nuking Iran will cause more and worse problems than it would solve, particularly with regard to the world’s muslims. So, you have to do it right. First, you need to kill off all muslims inside the US because you’re taking too great a risk having them here. Then you prohibit anymore from entering (as best you can anyway). Second, you can’t just nuke Iran. You must nuke the entire muslim world because hitting just one nation will not get it done. There will be far too much threat remaining otherwise and you cannot assume away that level of risk. So you wipe out Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, North Africa, Iraq, Iran, Jordan, etc. Now, viewed from that perspective does nuking Iran still seem as viable? Technically and conceptually feasible doesn’t make it practically so.
Here’s the way to fix Iran. First, we get back into the business of unconventional warfare and greatly expand our surrogate capabilities which, even after all these years are sorely lacking. We have seen two major uprisings in the last six years in Iran and we have not been able to capitalize on them. This is pretty poor planning on our part. Iran has a huge malcontent population that knows the mullahs are jackasses and a little empowerment from the US goes a long way. And we are screwing it up. Again. Fix this and we’d be able to affect a no-kidding coup and get some better options in that country. Plus, it’s a lot easier to take advantage of a country in a state of chaos than when they have all their police-state ducks lined up in a row.
No, it will not be fast and we are starting way too late. But it’s probably still doable (or at least doable enough) and should be pursued before we go with the “nuke until we run out of buttons” option.
