Just a quick note to wish all AWD’s and AWDudettes a very Happy Thanksgiving! Everyone has their problems, some more than others, but if you have a house over your head and food on the table you’re better off than most of the uncivilized world….I’m talking about Detroit, of course. Well, even they have government paid housing and cell phones!
Angry White Dude would also like to thank everyone who reads and comments on this site. When we began 19 months ago, I had no idea the site would have grown in popularity as it has. I started the page originally to bitch about male-bashing commercials and such but it has grown into a sounding board for people tired of political correctness and the direction of our country and society.
There are over 200 million blogs in the world. I learned that at a tea party training event, by the way. Over 1 billion websites are indexed on search engines. Currently, Angry White Dude is ranked the 189,612th most visited web site in the world. That includes Google, Facebook and about 189,610 porn sites! In the United States, we are in the top 50k. So 189k out of 1 billion is pretty good….especially when you realize the site is only 19 months old! I owe a huge debt of gratitude to everyone here.
So please take time to give thanks today and enjoy the good food and good football…well, the Cowboys are playing so almost good football. But nevertheless, a day of big food and bad football is still better than a good day of work. Be sure to say a prayer for our soldiers! Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

And speakin’ about turkey, it’s just about time to uncork that bottle of Wild Turkey. It always gears up my appetite for turkey, stuffing, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie. What else does a man need?

Sorry I tend to talk over the heads of the less sophisticated scotch drinkers. The brand of scotch I presently enjoy wood be Balvanie, and the particular version would be their portwood finish. All of us AWD’s are not of the backwoods variety, you know. (entirely tongue and cheek, Olds!)

If I can ever figure out how to get my avatar back up again (help!), you’ll see a picture of the ‘72 442 re-done as a Hurst/Olds. Six months in the shop, but it was worth the wait. Stripped to bare metal, all old Bondo removed and new patch panels welded in. Man, I wish I could do that without destroying the car. You’re either born with a knack for it, or not.

After cooking and cleaning up all day I was looking forward to the late game…what a farce and disappointment that was for me…Broncos ate the Giants for a dinner snack, I’ve pulled for the Giants because I like Eli Manning…something sure has happened to that team since last year….they’re done this year, stick a fork in ‘em.
