It is now painfully obvious the goal of the Democrat party is to destroy the economy and wealth of the United States and institute a socialist model resembling the pitiful examples of Europe. Since Pelosi and Reid and later Obama took control, the United States has spent trillions of dollars borrowed from our enemies, nationalized large parts of the banking, insurance and automobile industries and still plan on nationalizing health care and imposing monstrous taxes on the already overburdened taxpayer. When is enough for these socialist criminals..yes, criminals? Never!
Remember back to February when Obama signed into law the $787 billion stimulus bill? It was to keep unemployment from rising above 8 percent by creating millions of jobs. Here’s one example of how it has been spent:
Nearly $6 million in stimulus money was paid to two firms run by Mark Penn, Hillary Clinton’s pollster in 2008.
Federal records show that $5.97 million from the $787 billion stimulus helped preserve three jobs at Burson-Marsteller, the global public-relations and communications firm headed by Penn.
This should make your blood boil! The “stimulus” was nothing more than a huge slush fund to pay off friends of Democrats and Democrat states. Now Obama and the DemonRats want a second stimulus under the guise of creating jobs? Really? More jobs for Friends of DemonRats again? Where do I sign up?!? Expect no reaction from the pathetically weak Republicans on the Hill! It’s obvious the DemonRats have a free reign to do anything they like without consequence. This is OUR money! More than that, this is OUR COUNTRY!
I don’t have enough time to list the loonly left now in charge of our country. There are simply too many so far out of the mainstream to list. Even the anti-American governmental agencies packed with leftards are getting into the act in damaging America. The EPA is now threatening to impose their own regulations if Congress doesn’t vote to curb global warming. As reported on Fox News, an EPA official said:
“If you don’t pass this legislation, then … the EPA is going to have to regulate in this area,” the official said. “And it is not going to be able to regulate on a market-based way, so it’s going to have to regulate in a command-and-control way, which will probably generate even more uncertainty.”
See the direction and destruction currently driving America? One thing is clear to this patriot. The Democrat party must be totally destroyed. At least in its current version. Democrats must be soundly defeated in November 2010 and the Republicans must stick to an agenda of restoring fiscal responsibility and sanity to our country. I doubt the current clutch of wussypants Republicans are the ones to transform America back to Constitutional principles. We will need to rid ourselves of the RINO baggage that currently resides timidly in Washington. It has become very clear to me that this country needs monumental change to survive. Cutting back a little here and there will not save us from becoming a pitiful, has-been, second rate power like those in Europe. We need drastic reforms. Eliminate at least 50% of government employees in the first 3 years. Eliminate socialist bureaucracies that only damage liberty and our economy. I would immediately terminate the EPA, Department of Labor and the Department of Education…all bastions of uselessness! Those are examples of change I believe we must institute to survive. I have a hell of a lot more too!
One thing is clear. The wacko, America-hating left now owns the Democrat party. It is not in the best interest of our liberty to allow it to survive the next few election cycles. Get active in your local tea party movement and VOTE IN YOUR NEXT PRIMARY FOR A FISCALLY RESPONSIBLE CANDIDATE! I truly believe it is now or never!
AWD, You are absolutely correct. Anyone who cares about this country needs to be politically active and push everything that is happening in front of their friends and relatives. I meet people every day that don’t have a clue and when I tell them what is happening on a daily basis they think I am lying or crazy. But every so often, I add another person onto my list who will make a difference in 2010. We have to do this, there are no acceptable alternatives.

Since I’ve already fumed here previously about the mandated threats/blackmail regarding the EPA BS…I’m going to stick with Hillary/Penn and pay-offs.

I say that we abolish both the Democratic and Republican parties. Both of them are greedy and opportunistic, not caring about the problems everyday Americans face. Also, I know that other readers here at AWD will not like this, but we need to elect leaders who will reign in these giant corporations. Somehow, I don’t think that a 787 billion dollar stimulus for large banks and corporations is good precedent. We’re basically telling these faceless corporations that they can financially ruin this country and then be bailed out by our wonderful government. I think that stimulus should have gone directly into the pockets of everyday Americans (like people here at AWD). Now, before you accuse me of being a radical socialist and anti-capitalist, I assure you that is not the case. I read an article at counterpunch.org explaining the horrors of American Capitalism and the merits of Socialism in places such as Europe. The writer praised Europe’s low infant mortality rates, long vacations, cheap education, etc. He also pointed out the great ills of this nation’s economic structure. While I agree that this nation is growing more and more rotten, I simply don’t believe that Socialism is a viable solution. For one, many liberals who worship Europe fail to take a few things into account.
1. European nations are far smaller and less populous than the United States.
2. European nations (especially Socialist Scandinavian nations) are much less racially diverse than the United States, though that is starting to change for the worse.
3. European societies are less individualistic than the United States.
When you have smaller populations that aren’t polarized by racial tensions (one of the primary reasons many white Americans oppose social programs is because they associate such programs with blacks) and live in societies that are more communal, it is easier to witness successful Socialism. Socialism would not succeed in this large and diverse nation.
Now that I have addressed by opposition to Socialism in the United States, I believe that I should address why I am not an anti-capitalist. I believe in TRUE Capitalism, where the market is truly free, businesses are held accountable by the people, and monopolies are rare (which goes back to the market being truly free). Adam Smith, the father of modern Capitalistic thought, HATED corporations. Since corporations were large and faceless with a large division of labor, individuals seeking restitution from corporations that wronged them would have trouble finding justice. Since no clear individual was in charge of corporations, it is tough to hold them accountable for crimes. Also, large corporations and monopolies hindered the growth of a truly free market by limiting competition from would-be entrepreneurs. This resulted in American consumers and industries being at the mercy of a few large entities. Finally, Adam Smith also disapproved of the government interfering with business. However, unlike those anti-tax conservatives today, he opposed government regulation for a different reason. He believed that if the government regulated businesses, then wealthy businesses would be able to buy off the government and establish negative policies designed to preserve their status.
Therefore, any true patriot, regardless of political affiliation, should oppose the abuses of corporate America. While we should definitely avoid Socialism, all Americans and particularly conservatives need to start offering economic solutions that embrace true Capitalism. They need to ensure that the market is truly free by curbing the corruption of large corporations. They need to ensure that victims of white-collar crime are able to obtain justice, since many Americans are victimized financially and even physically (in the case of doctors offering poor advice for the purpose of profit) by such crime. Finally, all of us need to ensure that the government is answerable only to the people and not large companies and corporations that render many politicians lapdogs.
I know that I’ll take some heat from readers here at AWD. I just want to assure you that I am not a radical Socialist posing as an angry white dude. If you are wondering why I would possible read articles from the far left publication counterpunch.org, I believe that knowledge is power. Even if I don’t agree with many of the assertions of most counterpunch writers, I am deeply interested in knowing what they have to say, as well as the arguments they employ. I believe that even if you despise anti-racists and far leftists (as we all should), we should also learn more about them. After all, it is best to know one’s enemy.

One thing about losing those “friends” is that you found out that they really are not “friends”. I know…I have alienated myself to alot of people because they refuse to hear and see my viewpoints with back-up proof but they certainly have no problem expressing their liberal ways to me. If I question them on their views and ask for proof, they really get pissed off and walk away. It is so difficult attempting to have a civil conversation with people who don’t keep up with what is happening and expect the government to take care of them.
God help this country! United we stand, divided we fall…and this Nation is swiftly falling…straight to hell! I know that our Senators McCain and Kyl are sick of hearing from me. I continually remind them that they will soon be unemployed come voting time!

I have my share of calls etc as well on my end from some congress-critters…just had one two evenings ago from Tester, he was inviting me to join his ‘phone’ town hall meeting…I was in the middle of cooking dinner so didn’t catch it until I went to voice mail when I was done…or I would have stayed and joined in…gladly…it was one time I was angry I missed the nattering nabobs of negativity…I would have had a blast.

rocknroll,I never said that everyone here at AWD supported the stimulus package. I believe that I should have phrased that better in order to avoid criticizing readers here at AWD. The point I was trying to make is that too many Republicans and Conservatives lend great support to destructive corporations and corporate America. I think this needs to change.
YAWM, Hey dude, I agree with almost everything in your entire post, It just bothered me that twice you made it sound like nobody here knows that bailing big business out was an idea that most conservatives knew sucked when it was first mentioned. But I totally agree with the other 99% of your post. Big business should have been allowed to fail. It was a monumentous disaster to bail them out.

I’m with TazzMax–let’s see what ’10 brings, and pray for something good because I agree with the rest that I don’t think we can wait much longer to see significant redirection of the country back to its founding principles before armed revolt is necessary–lest we simply give up and slide irrevocably into a complete socialist/multicultural oblivion.
I’ve heard Beck make the point that it didn’t take a lot of Revolutionaries to jump start our first war for Independence and presumes it wouldn’t take a lot this time either. The posters here at AWD keep me heartened that we’ve still got men and women in this country with the guts, brains, and conviction to make it happen.
I’ve listened to the trend analyst Gerald Celente over the last couple of years and he makes the statement, “when people have nothing to lose they lose it”. I think the American people will have to lose it all before they will accept the fact that the government is completely corrupt and need’s to be replaced. People don’t want to believe that reality because it’s unpleasant and they don’t know what to do so they go along to get along. The politicians will continue to divide us with wedge issue’s and split our sovereignty with the invasion of our border’s from Mexico and other 3rd world countries. Celente has said the 2nd American revolution has already begun with the tea parties. The system is corrupt and needs to be rebooted but first it needs to crash and the bailout’s have allowed the corruption to continue, but someday there will be a reckoning. The fed’s may want civil unrest so that they can declare martial law and a full blown police state.
