THEY WANT TO KEEP THESE STREETS PRISTINE!

THEY WANT TO KEEP THESE STREETS PRISTINE!

Years ago, AWD had a conversation with his brother about international travel. AWD has never been to Europe and has always wanted to visit the chapels and Vatican in Rome, the Louvre in Paris and see the sights in England. AWD’s brother said he didn’t want to go over there. When I asked why, he said “too many foreigners.” I now see his point!

Today India launched a No Peeing in Public campaign. I guess they got tired of sloshing around in their sandals. The city of New Delhi, which is preparing to host the Commonwealth Games in October of next year will soon be displaying large billboards that will feature three characters: Mr. Thu-Thu Kumar (the spitter), Mr. Kuda Kumar (the litterbug) and Mr. Su-Su Kumar (the person who pees in public). They left off Mr. Machete Kumar who would guarantee ol’ Su-Su doesn’t make the mistake of doing his bidness in public more than once! Good thing they didn’t have to include Mr. Pu-Pu Kumar!

Urinating, spitting and littering in public are acts punishable with a fine of $10 or more in New Delhi. Deep Mathur, the spokesman for the city’s municipal corporation, said offenders had been prosecuted. Deep Mathur? Deep Mathur? I think I saw a movie his sister was in once. The problem is only 30 percent of India’s citizens don’t have access to toilets. And these are the countries Obama thinks are just as exceptional as America?

I’ve seen shows on India where they worship rats and live in poverty and filth. I’m sure there are some smart people over there and at least one of them can answer the question I have when I call about my screwed up Dell computer without having me reformat my *&$# hard drive!

I know America has a bunch of idiots running around. A stroll through Wal-Mart after 11 pm will introduce you to people you have only seen in movies. Horror movies. But outside of a few drunk frat boys, nobody goes around peeing in the streets and living without toilets. Give the Obama agenda another 5 years to sink us to that level!

So just cancel those plans to visit the Taj Mahal. Don’t they have one of those in Vegas anyway?

Radical leftists, anti-racists, “oppressed minorities,” and all other aggrieved groups can say all they want about the injustices in America, but I doubt any of them would want to live in a city such as New Delhi or Mumbai. Yes, I know, as Americans who value equality and justice, we should be better than the rest of the world. What’s funny is that the those on the left who constantly criticize Americans for being ethnocentric are themselves expressing American ethnocentrism by insisting that we be more just and humane than any other society in the world. They somehow think that we should be a utopian society while every other nation shows us that utopia is unrealistic. Of course, they then point out the great success enjoyed by European nations as evidence that social justice is in fact a reality. Well, I’ve already articulated numerous reasons why Socialism can only work in specific European nations as opposed to the United States, but I but that was in a previous post. I think AWD is right to insist that the government should ensure everyone has access to proper sanitation (particularly a toilet) before they demand that people abstain from urinating in public. Anyway, going back to the whole notion that the United States should be a perfect and pluralistic utopia, I want to first say that I love this nation and am proud of my American heritage. That being said, I do believe that we set ridiculously high expectations for what this nation should be. Though what I am about to say will undoubtedly provoke, I believe that the “all men are created equal” line in the Declaration of Independence should never have been written. For one, blacks haven’t let us hear the end of how we have failed to live up to our ideals of equality. Also, equality is a lie! Talk about making promises you can’t keep. Even if we SOMEHOW managed to cast off our racist past and live in a society free of discrimination, there would still be inequality. That inequality would manifest itself in class differences, homophobia, or even revert back to the ethnic and religious clashes that characterized conflict between European groups before they all assimilated into whiteness in the United States. I am no expert on evolutionary psychology or biology, but there is something about human nature that makes true equality impossible. As humans, we want special privileges, recognition, and prestige. Somehow, I don’t think that we would be satisfied living in a “classless” society. I am not necessarily even alluding to Marxism, but just the whole notion that equality and perfection are possible. Granted, a lot of people at the bottom of the system hate their lot in life and fight back, which they are justified in doing. My objection lies not with members of the underclass (be it racial, religious, economic, etc) who fight against the system, but rather the privileged radicals who embrace their cause. Shock-hungry and privileged radicals comprise the population of Berkeley, and we all know how that wonderful city turned out. Anyway, my point is that all those far left radicals and anti-racists should either learn to love this nation or give it back to the Native Americans who make them feel guilty for living on stolen land. Or, even better, they should go live in a slum in Mumbai so they can better understand what truly oppressed people have to put up with.

YAWM, always enjoy your posts. I could add some hysterical first-hand accounts of conversations I’ve had with liberals over here that illustrate the stupendous hypocrisy of multi-culti thought, etc., but I don’t know that I’d be able to stop my ranting once I got started. It’s enough to drive one batty.

Per the “all men are created equal” clause, I’ve typically understood it to be in regard to equality under the law, not about equality in terms of ability, which I think has worked pretty well when we’ve made the earnest effort to abide by that notion. The fact that since the 60′s the libtards have turned this on its head, hating the notion of equality under the law (think “hate crimes”) but loving the notion of socially engineering “equality of outcomes” (Affirmative Action, disparate impact, etc.), I think speaks less of problems with the wording in the DoI and more to the insanity and mendacity of liberal ideology.

  5. Young Angry White Male says:

Sorry for the typo. I said “but I but that was in a previous post.” I meant “but that was in a previous post.” By the way, I’m sure all of you are wondering when Fallon Massey will come back. Man, talk about delusion!

  6. olds442 says:

I’ve NEVER had a desire to visit India. Or just about any other place. Except for maybe New Zealand. Yeah, isn’t that where the Lord of the Ring movies were shot on location?

Does anyone know the Greyhound bus schedule to New Zealand?

  7. Young Angry White Male says:

RedStaterNYC, agreed. I also interpret “all men are created equal” to mean equality under the law, not equality of opportunity. For the most part (the criminal justice system/ law enforcement don’t exactly treat blacks equally), blacks are equal under the law and have equal rights. However, they do lack equal opportunities. At the same time, I don’t think that it’s the government’s job to ensure equal opportunity and equal social footing. Also, when the founding fathers wrote the Declaration of Independence, they didn’t exactly have blacks in mind. Their target audience was mainly France and the rest of Europe, the hope being that the Declaration would inspire them to assist the American revolutionaries in their fight against the British Crown.

  8. Forget Asia—GO TO EUROPE! Europe is beautiful. Go to Sweden, go to Poland (I can set you up with a great place that my friend rents in Cracow) GO TO ENGLAND! Berlin is awesome-go to the Berluin Zoo and see Knut.
The food is incredible. Real yogurt and ice cream that is like some kind of ambrosia, people are friendly, go with an open mind and have fun. GO SEE WHERE YOUR ROOTS CAME FROM! Go where your ancestors came from:

The BNP tried to hijack this song but the band threatened legal action and rightly so (write your songs Nick) because you can be proud of having roots without being racist or nationalist.

And to angry young white dude: Not all Leftists want to go to the Third world!

  9. Young Angry White Male says:

European American, I never said that all leftists wanted to go to the Third World. In fact, I argued that despite loathing numerous aspects of Western nations, they are the last people to actually go the the Third World. At the same time, I think all of them should visit the Third World in order to better appreciate their home countries.

  10. observer says:

    European American Admin says:
    “Forget Asia—GO TO EUROPE!”

Yes, best to go see it before it
becomes a third world cesspool on
    account of ridiculous immigration
    policies.

    “GO TO ENGLAND!”

Enoch Powell was a visionary. The man
was right in almost every prediction.

Go to Japan. The people are certainly racist, but it will still be Japan in
a hundred years. They at least
understand the down side of lots of
    immigration, and their leaders aren’t
traitors. Much to admire about them.

  11. 79FirebirdMan says:

Being a huge Lord Of The Rings fan, I would love to visit New Zealand and see all that magnificent scenery first-hand before my ticket gets punched. As for India, Africa, or any other third world s**thole, no thank ya.

If all these 3rd world countries are so wonderful, why are so many violating and openly flaunting our immigration laws to come to the US?

  12. Hillbilly Jack says:

“Being a huge Lord Of The Rings fan, I would love to visit New Zealand.” – 79FirebirdMan

    79,

About ten years ago, even before the Lord of the Rings movie trilogy was released(I am a major Tolkien/C.S. Lewis fan aswell),I told a friend that if I ever were to expatriate from the U.S. it would be to New Zealand. My problem is I believe that New Zealand, like Australia has a hard immigration age cap of 40 years old(unless you are hired by a company that originates or is based in those countries)and you have to possess a profession or trade that the country needs.

Besides..what America and our Constitution stands for, will always be worth the fight.(no matter how lost that fight
    appears or actually is)

Remember..the hopes of the patriots of those nations rests with us,trust me when I say that their eyes are on us,and their hearts are with us,America and her patriots must lead the fight,if the light that is America is snuffed out..their lights will be too.

    We MUST not fail!

The company my son works for sent him to Mumbai, India, and it was culture shock supreme for him.
Fortunately, he was only there about a week and half.

The hotel he was staying in was next door to the one that was blown up,…which happened a couple weeks after he returned home.

He said the most scary thing was the taxi ride to and from the airport, through all the ghettos getting there.

Bottom line, he said it was a pure $hithole from end to end, with the exception of a few blocks of hotels, etc,and where he was staying.

He told his boss he’d quit his job before he’d go there again!
I sure as hell don’t blame him!

  14. Louie says:

    Young Angry White Male,
I agree with most of you say. The fact of the matter, it seems to me, is that people in the US don’t realize how good they have it, how many possibilities for advancement exist here that you wouldn’t even dream of in Europe, and, yes the freedom to do what you want, when you want (obviously, this doesn’t apply to murderers or abusers and such).
I’m originally from Europe, and have gone back and forth many times for work and once for vacation. Every time I get back I feel like kissing the ground;there’s just no comparison
with Europe, even Western Europe or England, for that matter. There’s social mobility in the US that people in Europe can only dream about. I’ll give one example. In two trips to Spain I noticed a waiter in a cafe’ at the airport (Barajas). There weren’t there many people either time, and he was doing cleaning the floor both times, and I immediately thought that he would be caged in that job for the rest of his life, as in fact he would. In the US, you can work as a carpenter or a cook or whatever, and then go to medical school and become a doctor. I don’t think you see that anywhere else, though I don’t know about Australia and New Zealand.
I came to this country when I was 13, some 50 years ago, and had studied English for two years. But I couldn’t say much of anything when I first got here, because of the way that languages are taught in Europe, even in universities. There you study grammar, which is largely useless and which you can pick up as you start talking. In the US, where I have studied foreign languages, you start talking in that language the very first day of classes and you build up, and you can actually come out from one year of college study of a foreign language able to speak, read and write—obviously, not yet at a very high level, but very effectively.
I worked very hard to get good grades and that paid off because I got a full tuition scholarship to an Ivy League school, which charged the same amouont in tuition per year that my father earned. So there was no way I could have attended that univeristy, where, of course I worked my tail off to keep the scholarship and of course get good grades.
The two things I don’t agree at all with about are the points about the Declaration of Independence, which is a very important and noble document and not for nothing it’s an American document, despite a lot of the problems you mentioned. The other is what you say about Berkeley. I was there a long time and got an advanced degree there, and I can tell you, there’s a lot of crazies (or at least there were when I was there) and the City Council used to be made up of experts in political correctness, among other nonsense. There were also students there (mostly at the undergraduate school, not that much in the graduate school) that were nuts, and during the Free Speech years you could see these kids that had rich parents and used their money to be “fighting” for one cause after the other. But, as in other places, that’s the minority you hear about; you don’t hear about the rest of the people who do their jobs, raise a family, have to deal with outragoeus high prices and so forth. Yeah, I was in Berkeley during the 60s; the difference, though, was that I (and my friends, a lot of people) was a graduate student working for an advanced degree, and I had no time for crapping around, because my job was to read a lot of books and learn and write papers and keep a good GPA— that all the time—so that I wouldn’t flunk out (as a lot of those so-called radicals did; most of them in fact never finished their PhDs and were either kicked out or they dropped out to go to a comune or some nonsense like that). Despite all of that, though, Berkeley was a great city. yu didn’t have to deal with the loonies if you didn’t want to, the University of California was one of the very in the US and the world in a lot of fields, esp. the sciences, where it seemed like everyone had a Nobel prize, and it was a very pleasant place to live in, even if you had to tighten your belt and get a part-time job or something like that while you pursued your career.
Despite all that, though, if you were a white male, the trouble began when you got out and you started hitting against these walls: you couldn’t get a job, because there were quotas and this and that. And that’s still going on in the universities (I teach in one). You get a coalition of the pc people who take over important positions in departments and basically run committees and such things. So the hiring goes through them, and white guys can forget about getting a job, because those people tend to hire clones of themselves, and the brighter and more promising a white man is, the more crap is thrown at him. So a brilliant one got tenure, but turned around and got another job; he was marginalized and lies and stories would be made up against him. You wouldn’t believe it. It’s a horrible atmosphere. If you have tenure and do your work, though, you can basically forget about the pc crowd, though you’ve got to watch your back all the time. They’ll resort to anything to try and screw you if you say something critical about the jackasses who are writing crap but still are on the pc list.
Well, I certainly wasn’t planning to talk of the story of my life, but so it is, and sorry it didn’t all turn out good. Still, there’s a lot of this going on in other countries, and, from what I hear, European universities are actually much worse.

  15. bigtimer says:

Hey Louie, I’m glad you shared your life travels, experiences etc. enjoyed every word…you spoke volumes of what goes on.

  16. DeltaWolf says:

Europe is a great continent, which is why it’s under attack by third-world immigration, but if you go to areas which are still “European”, then you’ll love the experience.

Go to the German, Polish, Czech countries, you’ll like the strong beer there. ;)

  17. Young Angry White Male says:

Louie, thank you for your insight. As someone who actually studied and lived in Berkeley during the sixties, you would know more than most people. I am a native of the Bay Area (East Bay in particular), and I occasionally visit Berkeley. To be honest, I enjoy my times in Berkeley. The people are very peculiar and there are some good restaurants. However, I would never even contemplate living in a city intolerant of views that don’t adhere to extreme liberalism. About the Declaration of Independence, I agree that it was a noble document. In fact, the ideals stated in that document inspired peoples from all over the world to come to this nation. At the same time, emphasizing complete equality and harmony means making promises you can’t keep. That’s why we are constantly being hounded by blacks and other “oppressed” groups for not living up to our stated ideals. I believe that as Americans, we set ridiculously high standards for ourselves. I believe that one of the reasons why there is so much anti-Americanism in the world is because many Americans behave like spoiled brats who must always have everything be perfect. Granted, there are numerous other reasons, such as the CIA toppling the governments of Latin American and Middle Eastern nations, as well as our involvement in various wars (combined with meddling in the internal affairs of nations). However, what Americans consider mere “comfort” as opposed to luxury is regarded as economic paradise by most inhabitants of this world. To be honest, while I am proud of this nation and enjoy living here, I do not necessarily believe in American exceptionalism. Rather than measure the progress of this nation against its stated ideals, I tend to compare this nation to other places in the world (I happen to be a history major with a particular interest in world history). Yes, this nation has problems with racism, class inequality, and greedy corporations, but this nation is better than most other nations. You don’t exactly see numerous people moving to China. We constantly hear grievances from people in the United States. Where is the gratitude?

  18. otago66 says:

Greetings from New Zealand, yep one needs to be under forty and have a trade or profession that we need to get in to NZ to stay.
Now remember NZ is a very liberal country by US standards, a politician going on about family values better be whiter than white, no pun.
Oh, and to become a NZ citizen one swears allegiance to the Queen, politicians are seen as just the hired help and better know their place.

@79FirebirdMan: Uh… since when was Africa a country?

Anyway I wouldn’t understand why AWD or any of the regs on this blog would even want to visit India let alone any other country. How many of you actually have a passport? lol

  20. AWD says:

Huh, actually, I don’t want to visit India. Anyone I have spoken with who has visited India said it was filthy and they couldn’t wait to leave. Yes, I have a passport and have traveled quite a bit. Fluent in Spanish and am married to a Colombian who is in America legally. How many languages do you speak Huh? Piglatin doesn’t count. Huh?
