OBAMACARE FRIDAY NIGHT OPEN POST
Angry White Dude is back from his bidness trip to Biloxi. Good to be back at home in time to see if DB Harry Reid can sneak/force/bribe/buy ObamaCare through the Senate. This is truly a frightening time. It’s obvious the Dims goal is total government domination of America. Otherwise, reforms on health care could wait. A takeover of 1/7 of the American economy warrants more discussion than a day or two. But that is the new low DemonRats have brought to Washington. Utterly amazing! There are so many wacky things going on from the warped, sick minds of liberals these days it almost seems surreal.
The big question is, will ObamaCare pass the Senate? I’m curious to hear what you have to say. I believe it will. Reid will do anything necessary to get it passed. He will bribe with billions of taxpayer dollars buying votes. If he cannot get 60 votes for cloture, I fully expect him to do a reconciliation vote…the nuclear option we heard from the Dims when Repubs decided against it…which only requires 50 votes. There is no word disgusting enough to describe Reid.

Snake, I read Sweetness & Light from time to time. I like Newsbusters.org, Lucianne.com and read Ace of Spades every day. I also read Pajamas Media and Conservative Grapevine from time to time. I also visit the Jawas, The Religion of Peace and Atlas Shrugs to keep up on those wacky Muslims. The others I visit daily are on my linked sites, Texas Fred, Moonbattery, This Ain’t Hell and Weasel Zippers being some of them.
I do like our sense of community at AWD. Maybe in a year when we have really grown in numbers we can have a AWD convention. Now THAT I would pay to see! lol

Snake, I love the song Deacon Blues. My daughter plays sax so I love the line, “learn to work the saxophone, I’ll play just what I feel.” Not too many SD songs I don’t like. Favorite of all time….Aja…because I’m a drummer. Steve Gadd is just perfection on that song. Did you know they recorded Aja on one take in the studio?

No, AWD, I was not aware of that. I used to get plenty of good info on the JihadJohnnies from Robert Spencer’s Jihad Watch site. Iowahawk is just the best. For pure humor, he cannot be beat. This is completely out there, but did you ever listen to or see the infamous interview Bill Grundy did with the Sex Pistols?

Yes, AWD, as a matter of fact it is. Runs about three minutes. It was pre-Sid Vicious, and Glenn Matlock did most of the talking. Hilarious. But I will forewarn you, it does contain unedited obscene language. Queen was scheduled to be interviewed, they couldn’t make it, and EMI sent over the Pistols instead. The rest is history.
Of course Deacon Blues has the line, “They call Alabama the Crimson Tide…”
Better late than never, bigred. I hope no Heisman jinx for the Tide. Weinke in 2000 for FSU, Crouch in 2001 for Nebraska, White in 2003 for OU, Bush in 2005 for USC, and Bradford in 2008 for OU. I’ll applaud Ingram for being Alabama’s first Heisman winner, but deep down, all things considered, I believe the award should have gone to Suh. That guy is frightening. You might want to check my last post on the older comments on this thread.

It always seemed to me that corn huskers should have the colors yellow and green. Maybe they get the red from how red their hands get from all that…uhhh…oh, corn huskin’ of course.
While Alabama is the Crimson (that’s red for all of you in Rio Linda and Port St Lucy) Tide. (I will confess right now that I have no idea how they got the elephant.)
But the red part for me really comes from the Celtic heritage on my mother’s side. That has blessed me with a full head and full beard of shaggy red hair sitting on top of a 3XL frame. And the big part comes from…

Hey Red thanks for enlightening me. Most entertaining. I got hooked on Ne football back when Osborn went for the WIN and not the tie. I was stationed at Offut AFB. I can relate to the Celtic part too as i’m SCOTS-IRISH. When I had hair it was shot through with Red steaks, mainly through my beard. I only have intermitten use of a computer and at 0530 limited spelling abilities. All you DUDES and DUDETTES have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
