Crazy Steve Talks Gun Control

First it was Sean Peyton issuing idiotic statements on gun control. Not to be outdone in the nitwit department, Steve Kerr has decided to get into the act. Kerr, the head basketball coach of the NBA’s second place Golden State Warriors had the following to say after trying to explain his team’s historic collapse.

“Hey, can I mention one more thing? I know, as a basketball coach I don’t often get political.

“But if you don’t mind, I just want to say that when 90% of our country wants background checks on gun purchases and we’ve got our Senate and our House not only voting it down, but using the Bill of Rights as a reason for people to

have rights to carry these automatic weapons and we’re getting people murdered every day at an alarming rate…

“I just have to get this off my chest: Our government is insane.

“We are insane, and what bugs me is this adherence to the right to bear arms. That was back in 1776 when people didn’t own automatic rifles.

“You had to have a musket in case the redcoats were coming. And the British were coming. And the beautiful thing about the Constitution is they left open amendments to change things because things change over time.

“I kind of think that our forefathers would not have OK’d automatic weapons to be sold to everybody if they existed back then. Let’s have some checks. It’s easier to get a gun than a driver’s license. It’s insane.

“And as somebody who has had a family member shot and killed, it just devastates me every time I read about this stuff, like what happened in Orlando, and then it’s even more devastating to see the government just cowering to the NRA, and going to this totally outdated Bill of Rights, right to bear arms.

“You know, if you want to own a musket, fine. But come on.

“The rest of the world thinks we’re insane. We are insane. And until we vote these senators and congressman and women out of office, the same thing is going to happen. And it’s infuriating and I had to get that off my chest.”

Really Steve? You got the insanity thing partly right, but it’s you and others of your liberal ilk who are insane.

First a little background on Steve Kerr. He was considered a very good basketball player when active and one of the better current head coaches in the NBA. However, the team he coached has the distinction of losing the NBA championship after holding a 3 to 1 lead, the biggest choke in league history. He was appearing on a sports show, attempting to explain his team’s dismal performance in the NBA finals when he went on his rant.

There’s one other thing you should know. In 1984, Steve’s father, a professor at American University in Lebanon was shot to death in Beirut. No one was ever caught but (gasp) Islamic Jihad claimed credit.

The utter stupidity of Mr. Kerr’s statement is beyond belief and certainly implies that he truly may be bat shit crazy. (Not unexpected with progressives) I predict a new trend with liberals. FUBAR something, anything, then blame guns, the NRA, the Tea Party or Whitey. Expect full forgiveness and absolution.

Hey Steve, here’s a newsflash. The NRA didn’t kill your father. His murder didn’t even occur in some Democratic crap hole like Chicago or Baltimore where most homicides are committed. Muslim fundamentalists in a Muslim country, with a very long history of violent civil strife killed your father. It was the same sort of people who committed the Orlando, French, San Bernardino and the very recent Ankara massacres. Turkey doesn’t even have an NRA, Republicans or Christian fundamentalists. Why are you having trouble connecting the dots or did a flying purple elephant tell you otherwise?

If you look at “Crazy” Steve’s statement you know that something is not loading correctly in his progressive brain. It’s simply wrong on so many levels.

He’s quick to parrot the 90% slogan about background checks, but it only proves he can remember liberal talking points without knowing the actual facts. He’s also fixated on the easy availability of fully automatic weapon. (Only in Lebanon and the Mideast Steve, you’ve got the wrong countries.) Confusion is part and parcel to liberalism.

It’s Crazy Steve’s utterance about “that totally outdated Bill of Rights” that makes me really question his sanity. He might want to know that our basic freedoms, including the right to say incredibly stupid shizer is centered on this “outdated” document. Once again another example of why liberalism is a mental illness and societal suicide.

I have a message for Crazy Steve. I suspect you’re probably a pretty decent guy. You got the insane part correct, you’re just pointing fingers at the wrong people. Take a nice long look into the mirror when you get those thoughts. I can’t fault you for wanting to “vote those people out” either. However, we know “those people” you want voted out are conservatives and not your liberal friends. I’d also suggest you look up the Bill of Rights and get a quick education on the origin of our freedoms.

Finally Steve, it’s obvious that your meds aren’t working. That huge loss in the NBA finals must have pushed you over the edge. Get some help. If you can’t, soak yourself in salt water, stick your finger into an electrical outlet and hope for the best. You’re infected with liberalism and it will rot your brain worse than Zika. Just remember, the 10-foot tall pink talking bunny whispering in your ear is not real.
