Media Deathmatch: CNN vs. /pol/

Fake News Yells at Meme

Fake News Yells at Meme

CNN threatened to dox some random shitlord because one of his memes was tweeted by POTUS Donald Trump and went viral. (I can’t believe I just wrote that sentence. My own self from 10 years ago wouldn’t understand half of it, and would not believe the half it did understand. Anyway…)

In a rare moment of bipartisanship, both the left and right acknowledge that CNN has officially jumped the shark with this cringe-worthy, would-be-evil-were-it-not-so-pathetic endeavor.

To add insult to injury, there may even be a legal case against CNN. (…Had the random shitlord in question had some testicles and sued the media outlet, as opposed to being an unmitigated spineless coward who apologized profusely and repudiated his entire history of shitposting after a mere email inquiry from CNN. Anyway…)

Upon discovering this story (announced by CNN with all the bravado of a retard who proudly announces he just ate a turd: “CNN Exclusive!”), the Nazis over at The Daily Stormer have decided that this is a declaration of Total War by CNN against them (as they are all shitlords), and thus have responded in kind.

But wait! There’s more!

And somehow, in the course of this quickyl escalating kerfuffle, 4chan /pol/ got put into the crosshairs by some random news chick (not sure if she was CNN affiliated or not), and now /pol/ has likewise gone on the offensive. (Though I’m guessing /pol/ and The Daily Stormer are largely redundant these days.)

And I would like to remind everyone that /pol/ discovered the location of Shia Labeouf’s “He Will Not Divide Us” flag by decoding contrails in the sky.

Frankly, I think CNN is on borrowed time at this point. They’ve got this supposedly impending merger with AT&T and Trump’s executive branch will have final say over its approval. AT&T may want to have CNN scuttled from the Time Warner conglomerate in order to ensure the approval of the merger, as I can’t imagine they’re seeing much longevity in a legacy MSM outlet like CNN–but see plenty of value in having HBO, Warner Bros., and TBS under their domain so as to compete with original content juggernauts like Amazon and Netflix. And when CNN is off the Time Warner teat, well…so long, Fake News Network!

But I really have no idea, as M&A is nowhere near my forte. So if you’re going to take my thoughts on it at all (which I would strongly advise against), take it with a huge grain of salt.

In any event, this is me watching CNN furiously trying to dig itself out of a hole of its own digging:
