Mitt Romney was on Face the Nation this morning and refused to answer a simple question that was asked to him by Bob Shieffer three times, three different ways. What he did was not only aggravating, it was infuriating. If he thinks avoiding a direct answer regarding what Dear Leader did Friday with his executive order is going to help him…he has another thing coming on down the road. I don’t think he realizes the anger millions of us out here across this land have regarding illegal immigration and amnesty. I don’t know who is advising him…but he or she needs to be fired! In my humble opinion this isn’t going to help Romney…it’s going to hurt him unless he changes course ASAP! One other factor, Romney was already making major gains in the swing states and elsewhere before Friday…now I have to wonder what this will do later.
Here’s the story via Mediatite:
Mitt Romney paid a visit to CBS’ Face the Nation on Sunday to discuss everything from the economy to President Obama‘s new immigration policy that will protect many young illegal immigrants from deportation. Asked about whether he’d repeal Obama’s policy, Romney repeatedly evaded the question.
Bob Schieffer asked, “Would you repeal [Obama’s immigration] order if you became president?” Romney replied, “This is something Congress has been working on, and I thought we were about to see some proposals brought forward by Senator Marco Rubio and by Democrat senators, but the President jumped in and said I’m going to take this action.”
He went on to say Obama had over three and a half years to work on this issue, but didn’t, even when he had a Democratic majority. As for himself, Romney said he’d work with Congress on a long-term solution. Pressing him, again Schieffer asked again if he’d repeal the measure.
Romney again evaded the question, emphasizing a long-term solution, criticizing Obama’s use of a “stop-gap measure.” If Obama felt seriously about the issue, he said, he would’ve tackled it far earlier.

Also this morning we have the wisdom from this whizkid as well…this is via OTB:
In another sign that the right is not by any means united in its reaction to the President’s immigration policy shift, Bill Kristol all but endorsed the idea completely this morning on Fox News Sunday:
KRISTOL: I think its a sensible policy. I think it would be much better if that were the law of the land, and I think the president’s pushing the edges of prosecutorial discretion in saying we’re not going to enforce a law in order to leave these people in the country. But I think it’s the right thing to do, actually.
So friends…what message do you want to send to Romney, or do you think he’s making the right move? I know one thing for sure…we want answers from him regarding this issue once and for all, if he thinks the media is going to quit asking this question that he’s refusing to answer…he must be ‘Stuck on Stupid!
